Hotel Policies
Firearms Policy
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hyatt.
This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.
Hyatt recognizes that guests may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes.
This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
The open carry of firearms on Hyatt private property is prohibited, regardless of state or local laws.
Hotel premises are private property. Guests of a Hyatt hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any hotel guest who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that:
- All handguns, firearms and ammunition are transported in and out of hotel property secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest.
- The firearm is securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room or personal vehicle (except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel).
Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel who are on duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal carry a firearm.
Questions concerning this policy or its implementation may be addressed to Hyatt’s global security department.
Cashless Policy
Please note that this hotel only accepts credit cards, debit cards and, where applicable, other contactless forms of payment. It is a cash-free environment.
Smoking Policy
Hyatt is committed to providing a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not allowed in public areas of the hotel or in guest rooms. The hotel will apply a cleaning fee of $250 (plus tax) to any guest that violates this nonsmoking policy. We appreciate your consideration for other guests and ask that you immediately report any instances of smoking in the building. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Please visit the host stand for details.
Pet Policy
Hyatt Place DFW is a dog-only hotel.
*We welcome guests with disabilities traveling with their service animals. Service animals are not pets and are not subject to this Pet Policy. For more information, please contact the hotel.
Weight Limits
We allow one dog weighing 50 pounds or less, or a maximum of two dogs weighing a combined total of 75 pounds.
Fees
For guests staying up to six nights, there is a $100 nonrefundable dog fee. For stays of seven to 30 nights, there is a $100 nonrefundable dog fee, plus a $100 cleaning fee. Fees do not include taxes.
To ensure the maximum comfort for all guests, following the departure of a guest and their dogs, there are certain steps we must take to ensure the suite is clean and free from possible allergens. We deep-clean carpets, drapes, bedspreads and other linens; we also fumigate the suite. For this reason, we add the nonrefundable cleaning fee to the account at check-in.
Guidelines for Dog Owners
All dogs must be housebroken. Dogs must be on leashes when in public areas. Dogs are not allowed in food service areas or the pool. Your dog must be confined in a carrier if left unattended during the cleaning of your room, or you can arrange to be present when your room is serviced.
