Firearms Policy
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hyatt.
This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.
Hyatt recognizes that guests may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes.
This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
The Open Carry of Firearms on Hyatt private property is prohibited, regardless of State or local authorities. Hotel premises are private property. Guests of a Hyatt hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any Hotel Guest who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state, and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that:
- All handguns, firearms and ammunition must be transported into and out of hotel property secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest
- The firearm is securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room or personal vehicle (except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel)
Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

Pet Policy
Don’t let your pet miss out on the fun while you travel. Bring your furry friend along to enjoy all the sights and sounds that our Garland, TX, hotel has to offer. Our pet policy allows single dogs weighing 50 pounds or less; two dogs may be allowed provided their combined weight does not exceed 75 pounds. The maximum is two dogs per room, regardless of weight. For guests staying 1–6 nights, a $75 non-refundable pet fee will be administered. Guests staying 7–30 nights, a $75 non-refundable pet fee plus an additional $100 cleaning fee will be administered. Guests staying more than 30 nights, please contact the hotel. Fees are inclusive of taxes. All dogs must be housebroken.
Damage to the Room, Fixtures or Items
Any type of damage to our room, its fixtures, or the loss or damage to items in the room will result in a charge that will be at the discretion of management.
Fitness Center
The fitness center is for unlimited use to guests over the age of 18 (unless accompanied by an adult) and is at your own risk. It is assumed that patrons know their physical limitations. Proper attire, including shirt and shoes, must be worn at all times and equipment must be wiped down after use.
Guarantee, Nonrefundable, Cancellation or Change of Reservation
A valid credit card is necessary to reserve a room and a full 48-hour notice prior to the 3 p.m. arrival time is required to cancel or to make a change to a reservation. We charge a full day’s room and tax to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation if a cancellation occurs within this period. Nonrefundable rate reservations are not subject to cancellation policies and are nontransferable. In order to secure the lower rate at the time of the booking, the guest has waived the ability to cancel. The amount for the entire stay is due at the time of the booking and is not refundable for any reason.
llicit Activity, Noise and Complaints
The hotel will report all suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities and reserves the right to refuse service to anyone suspected of involvement in such activity. The hotel reserves the right to enter any area of the hotel, including guest rooms, should there be a reason for suspicion of illegal activity, or if we suspect our property, staff, or guests are at risk.
All guests are expected to exhibit appropriate civil conduct while on our property and in our rooms. Public intoxication will not be tolerated on our property. Disrupting our guests with inappropriate behavior including harassment, offensive or insulting language, or any other means deemed inappropriate by management will result in dismissal from the property in addition to paying for any charges the hotel incurs as a result of the disruption.
Minimum Age Requirements
In order to reserve a room and check into our property you must be at least 21 years of age and provide a valid driver's license and credit card. The hotel requires that someone at least 21 years old actually stays on the property and is responsible for all activity that takes place.
Payment Policies
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, payment must be guaranteed on arrival. A valid credit card is required and will be authorized for the full amount of the stay, plus taxes and an additional $75.00 per stay to guarantee incidentals. While most authorizations release immediately upon departure, some credit or debit card authorizations may take up to 30 days to release depending on the issuing bank. The hotel is not responsible for any fees or inconvenience that may result. If you are experiencing an issue with a pending authorization, please contact the issuing bank by calling the number on the back of the card and feel free to contact the front desk if they require the hotel’s assistance in getting an approval released. We accept the following payment types: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diner’s Club, JCB, traveler's checks (USD), and bank transfer*.
Cash is only accepted upon departure. A valid credit card and proper identification must be provided upon arrival.
Personal checks are not accepted. Foreign currencies are not accepted, nor exchanged, but locations for these services are nearby (please contact the Front Desk).
