Minimum Age Policy

The minimum age to reserve a room is 21 years old. A person of the minimum age must be present at check-in and be a registered guest in the room.

Credit Card Policy

A valid credit card must be presented at check-in. The card will be authorized for room, tax and an additional $25 per night for incidentals.

DEBIT CARD USERS: There is a $25 PER NIGHT authorization placed on your card at check-in to account for any incidental charges you may incur, including but not limited to food and beverage charges. Funds will be held as a pending charge and will be unavailable to you. Any unused authorization is released within 7–10 business days after check-out, depending on your banking institution.

Smoking Policy

Hyatt is committed to providing a smoke-free environment. There is no smoking allowed in the public areas of the hotel or the guestrooms. The hotel will apply a $200 + tax cleaning fee to any guestroom that violates this nonsmoking policy. We appreciate your consideration for other guests and ask that you report any smoking in the building immediately. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Pet Policy

Hyatt Place Columbia/Downtown/The Vista is proud to be a dog-friendly hotel. At our Columbia, South Carolina hotel, we welcome dogs up to 50 pounds, or two dogs with a combined weight of 75 pounds or less per room.

All dogs must be housebroken and leashed in public areas. Pets are not allowed in food service areas or the pool. If your pet is left unattended during room cleaning, it must be confined in a carrier, or you may choose to be present. Guests should not leave noisy animals unattended in the room.

Fees

For stays of 1 to 6 nights, the fee is $100, regardless of the duration ($100 total).

For stays exceeding 6 nights, there is an additional deep cleaning fee of $100 ($200 total).

For stays exceeding 30 nights, please contact the hotel.

To ensure maximum comfort for all our guests, following the departure of a guest and their pet, there are certain steps we must take to ensure the suite is clean and free from possible allergens. We deep-clean carpets, drapes, bedspreads and other linens, and fumigate the suite. For this reason, we add the nonrefundable pet/cleaning fee to the account during check-in.
