Okay for overnight stay.
The hotel seems to be under renovation. The room I stayed in is dated. No place to charge USB devices (only power outlets). The furniture was in good condition but you can tell it's old. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean but there was a weird cat urine smell and mustiness that was very strong. Luckily mine was an overnight stay. But on our way out we did notice protests by unions that the hotel was not using Union labor for it's remodel. There are limited options for breakfast. There is a restaurant that doesn't open until 11am, there's a buffet, all you can eat breakfast for $25. Seems pricey to me for breakfast, how much can you really eat? The item selection was very limited as well so for me not worth it. I settled for the Starbucks which I'm not particularly fond of but it was convenient. I won't stay here again.

Reports and formal complaints of such activity are tied to the downtown Hyatt Regency and involve legal filings with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and a protracted union campaign that unfolded there over the past year. In contrast, Hyatt Place Buffalo/Amherst has not been connected to any of these events, and there are no known reports or actions involving picketing or labor disputes at our property. We regret that this misunderstanding affected your stay—and your perception of our hotel. Please know that we take guest feedback seriously and are committed to openness and transparency. Great place to stay.
My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt place for a family wedding. We had a wonderful time, the staff was friendly. We were close to a lot of great restaurants which was nice since we didn't rent a car. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay in it again.

Hotel stay was great!
The hotel was clean staff is very attentive friendly and helpful. I had my infant with me and they provided me with a playpen for my baby to sleep in. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone stay in buffalo ny area!

Disappointing, Hyatt should do better.
We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. We found a pair of dirty ankle socks THAT WERE NOT OURS by the window. Housekeeping would have found them had they cleaned the room thoroughly!

Another enjoyable stay with Hyatt.
Fine hotel try to stay at Hyatt whenever traveling, good size room and comfy bed. Hyatt is my fav hotel to stay at as always treated well. Wish they had one in Syracuse as I have family there but have to fly into/out of Buffalo.

Poor Customer Service
I stayed at the Hyatt place and the front desk manager was rude. We never been treated so poorly at an Hyatt. ............

Won't be back.
When we arrived we were horrified to find employees picketing in front of the hotel. After speaking with them we discovered that the hotel had illegally prevented them from trying to form a union. We will find a different hotel next time we are in buffalo.

Great location and accommodations
We booked our stay at the Hyatt Amherst to attend our son’s white coat ceremony for UB dental program. It was our first time staying at this location or a Hyatt in general. The location is very convenient to the highway and several good restaurants near by. Our accommodations exceeded our expectations. We got a one bedroom suite with sofa bed. Plenty of room for my husband and myself and our 20 year old youngest child. The bathroom placement was ingenious so that it could be accessed from The bedroom and the hall so no one has to walk thru the room to use it during the night. The kitchen was well appointed. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast with eggs sausage bacon French toast sticks breads yogurts oatmeal and juices. Plenty of room to sit and eat. Staff were very helpful when we had a remote control battery issue. Will definitely come back!
