Hotel Policies

Firearms Policy

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hyatt. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.

Hyatt recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.

Hotel premises are private property. Guests or visitors of a Hyatt hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that the firearm is:

- Unloaded

- Secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest

- Securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room (or personal vehicle), except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel

Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel who are on duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

Questions concerning this policy or its implementation may be addressed to Hyatt’s Global Security department.

Package Policy

Our hotel will accept and hold packages seven days prior to arrival for guests at no charge for the first five packages. Each additional package will cost $5 per package. The packages should be addressed to the guest.

Pet Policy

No need to leave your best friend behind - our hotel is pet friendly! The Hyatt Place brand accepts dogs, so guests who enjoy traveling with their pets can bring them to Seaport and explore Boston's waterfront together.

Guidelines for Dog Owners

For stays of 1 to 6 nights, the fee is $100, regardless of the duration ($100 total).

For stays exceeding 6 nights, there is an additional deep cleaning fee of $100 ($200 total).

For stays exceeding 30 nights, please contact the hotel.

To ensure maximum comfort for all our guests, following the departure of a guest and their pet after a 7–30-night stay, there are certain steps that we must take to ensure the suite is left clean and free from possible allergens. We deep clean carpets, drapes, bedspreads and other linens. We also fumigate the suite.

The cost of performing this extra cleaning is approximately $100. For this reason, we add a nonrefundable cleaning charge to the account when a guest checks in for 7–30 nights with a pet.

The Hyatt Place brand limits pets to two (2) household dogs per room weighing less than 50 pounds each. All dogs must be housebroken. We reserve the right to refuse dogs that do not meet customary standards for household dogs, based on species, odor or aggressiveness. Your pet must be confined in a carrier if left unattended during the cleaning of your room, or you can plan to be present when your room is serviced.

Pets are not allowed in public areas, food service areas or at the pool. We suggest guests with pets use side or back entrances. Dogs must be on leashes when in public areas.

Pet-Related Housekeeping Service

It is mandatory that all guest rooms with pets are required to be serviced by our housekeeper at a minimum every three (3) days.

*We welcome guests with disabilities traveling with their service animals. Service animals are not pets and are not subject to this Pet Policy. For more information, please contact the hotel.
