I chose Hyatt at Olive 8 expecting a consistently high-quality, 5-star experience. Unfortunately, between the lack of thorough room cleanliness, an air-conditioning system that did not function properly despite a late-night service visit, and staff interactions that felt less welcoming than expected, the stay fell short of that standard. I appreciate the effort made to address the AC, but the unresolved issue and the timing of the service disrupted our ability to rest. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes it helps improve quality control and service consistency for future guests, and I would appreciate any follow-up you feel is appropriate.

My family and I took a staycation for the weekend to see a college basketball game. The location is fantastic. There is so much to do within a short walking distance. We really lucked out with the sunny weather both days. The pool and hot tub are the reason why we chose this particular Hyatt. Both of my kids enjoyed the pool. The locker rooms also had a fantastic sauna and steam room. The showers in the locker room were also very spacious. Had I known this was the case, I'd have taken more showers in them as the shower in the room was dated and not ideal for someone who is over 6' tall. My kids are picky eaters, and they loved the pancakes at Tidal+ each morning as well. The valet team was on it and was kind enough to run down to my car and grab something I had forgotten after dropping it off the night before. My car was also ready faster than they had anticipated when we checked out.

The hotel's location is excellent, the food at Tidal is excellent, and the hotel staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The pool and sauna were nice. I would go back.

Great expereince & location

The front desk team could benefit from a more professional and welcoming approach during the check-in process, as the experience did not feel particularly appreciative. I have stayed at this hotel over the past eight years, and the customer service level at the front desk has declined and needs improvement. An upscale hotel such as Hyatt Olive 8 should maintain higher standards and be more selective in its front desk team.

Great hotel!

Place was great and im a picky old man.  Hotel is in a good location, was clean, check in and out was easy and the room was nice and clean and all staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel and great location! Restaurants, shopping, theater and sightseeing all easily walkable. Room was comfortable and cozy...loved the white noise machine, and the locally made coffee K cups. The pool, hot tub and steam rooms were a great bonus!

Great Place for a City Stay!

We picked this hotel for an overnight visit. The location is good and the pool and weight room are great. In fact this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel because we love the pool and gym. We regretted that we didn't call down to the front desk and ask for more bedding. We weren't cold, but the comforter didn't have much heft and felt like what you might use on a hot night in the summer.

Excellent pool and gym

This is my first choice when visiting Seattle.  Close enough to everything and always meets expectations.  Like everywhere in Seattle, parking is too expensive.  If you plan to park, its about $65 a night but that is fairly comparable.  I do think its necessary to charge this much since they have their own valet area and could choose to reduce the cost.  Otherwise, clean and comfortable and good customer service by all staff.

My "Go-to" hotel in Seattle

This is a great Hyatt property in Downtown Seattle. The staff was very friendy and helpful, and the cocktails in the bar were next level. Our room was also very clean and well appointed. I was in Seattle on business, but I would look to stay at this property the next time I am in Seattle whether for business or pleasure.
