We were very impressed with our room and the overall condition of the hotel. However, we were disappointed with the lack of employees in the bar/breakfast area to take care of us and all of the other guest.

Beautiful hotel...which needs more employees

My stay was awesome, nearly perfect. Great place, fantastic staff, close to everything downtown. Rooms were clean and large. Good vibes all around.  The best hotel I have ever been in and I travel a lot all over the country and even internationally.  Instead of a corner room with some weights and two treadmills this  gym is like a professional gym open to the public.  Big and clean too,. 

Great Stay Downtown MPLS

The pictures depicted a fairy tale compared to what we actually got, a bed, t.v. and a empty mini-frig.

Nothing to sit in, no table, no coffee machine, not enough room in the closet for a couple to hang three sets of clothing, no room to store the luggage.

The smallest room I have ever seen, the Restaurant staff were inattentive, the food came out cold, they didn't serve coffee we had to go to a bar and fix it in a "small paper cup" the water was like warm.

The track in the gym has a tilt in it turns that could be a danger if someone slipped especially with rails the height of the one used and there was any staff in there to assist with equipment use.

Parking was complicated by the email saying come to the desk first, it needs better instruction and direction, clearly marked instructions on leaving the parking area without walking out on the ramp, the pricing for what was provided were terrible.

Never again...

I got to stay in the King Deluxe room and it was great, so clean and accommodating!  Everything was in walking distance as well, restaurants and shops!  Staff was very friendly.  Ate at the restaurant there and the walleye sandwich was really good!

Great room!

Paid $28 a day to Hyatt for parking. Signage in the ramp directed guests to walk up and down the ramp that cars drive on. Very unsafe!
The only elevator was on the other side of the building and the sidewalk was closed down which would force guests to walk in the busy traffic to get to the hotel.
On top of parking issue, air conditioner in room was extremely loud and needed to be turned off to sleep and to talk on the phone.

Horrible parking./broken air conditioning

The hotel was in a great location to US Bank stadium, staff was welcoming, room was quiet and beds were comfortable.  The only disappointment was that the bar was not open before the Vikings game on Sunday morning.  

Great Location!

Awesome hotel. I received an upgrade to a deluxe from a regular king. The staff was very nice and professional. I loved my room so much, I requested my reservation at the Hyatt Place Downtown to be transferred to the Hyatt Centric Downtown. The receptionist worked diligently to make this happen. She was able to match my night rate that I had at the other hotel and was not charged any additional fees.

Hyatt Centric Downtown

Excellent location, close to many events. Very convenient walk to the Armory for concerts. Kind, friendly staff. Very clean, spacious and modern rooms. Highly recommend. Parking is close but a bit tricky to figure out. 

Great hotel

I would recommend The Hyatt Centric to anyone whose main priority in a hotel is the fitness facilities.  They are amazing!  

Everything else was about average for a 4 star-ish hotel.  Be aware if ordering food that the portions are massive. 

Great Fitness Facility

The location was why I booked here despite the cost of the room, valet service, bar prices. Staff were helpful, bed was comfortable, pillows a bit soft, good size bathroom. Hotel prices, like airline tickets for vacation is so extreme right now.

Good location, clean, but pricey

I would stay here again.  I booked a room with a pillowtop king size bed - the most comfortable bed ever.  The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.  I stayed here for three nights for a business trip, but I would stay again to explore the area.  The only thing that I will say was that my room with a "city view" was a view into the office of the building next door which was disappointing - that was all I could see up, down, right, or left.  

Excellent hotel

The Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis was a fabulous surprise.  The entire hotel was very clean, staff were approachable, and the rooms were luxurious.  I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms.  The bathroom was large and even had a soaking tub.  Just what you need at the end of a long day of business meetings.  

Outstanding Hotel

This property was better than I expected. Lobby was welcoming & had a bit of a art deco feel. My room was spacious, bathroom was large with a separate stand up shower and big tub. King bed was comfy too. Hotel was clean and in a convenient location to downtown for Corporate Target meetings.

Great location and upscale spot

Terrible service. We were not given the correct rooms, they charged the hold for the rooms twice, they never followed up with us about fixing the room issue, and had to explain the issues multiple times with no resolution. 
Absolutely horrible experience that made what was supposed to be a fun, restful vacation far more stressful than it should have been.

Wrong rooms and poor service

Location of hotel is walking distance to the light rail and buses, restaurants, stores, Target Center, Target Field, and US Bank Field. 3 elevators gets you to your room quickly. The gym is huge and well worth a long or short workout. 

Location is perfect

Great stay downtown Minne. Great property with friendly staff and amazing rooms. Front desk was great, check in and out were easy, the restaurant is great for a convenient and easy dinner. Room was spacious and clean. 

Great stay

 I was very disappointed in the lack of communication or confusion about the parking with your hotel. I paid for a room and parking together, the 1st night I was told we got Valet parking this was Friday night.. we were staying four nights. When we returned to the hotel on Sunday evening we were told there was no valet parking we had to self park. This wasn’t communicated upon check in, being upset I asked where to park he stated to go around the block on the other side of the building and I would find the parking garage. The next morning I went to get my parking validated and was informed I parked in the wrong garage. I would have to pay the $34 for parking and there was nothing that could be done. I was then apologized to and told where I  need to park the final night.  At a hotel as prestigious as yours I would not expect this type of miscommunication for your clients.


Poor Communication

We stayed for the Taylor Swift concert so rates were very high, as I expected. However, there was what appeared to be blood spatter on the wall and ceiling above the bed. When I told the front desk, and provided a picture, the employee appeared to be just as horrified as I was. However, she only comped our room $50, which seemed fairly minuscule compared to the price of the room.

Great hotel. Highly recommend. Rooms are very spacious and classy plus the beds are extremely comfortable. Location is great and onsite amenities are wonderful. Lobby bar & restaurant is wonderful and the workout center is phenomenal!! Easy and safe walk to the convention center.

Great hotel!

Asani and Kowsar were amazing. Hotel was very clean and welcoming. It was quiet and very roomy and extremely accommodating. The cookies were fresh and delicious,  requests were met timely. Staff was so kind and caring!  

Incredible from check in to check out

Thank you to the staff at the Hyatt Centric Minneapolis.  We had a great quick getaway.  Upgraded room was very spacious and the hotel was a convenient walk to a lot to do.  Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice one night stay to enjoy Minneapolis downtown,

Don't ever try to book a room for your parents as a gift, first you'll have to call and change the reservation so that your parents can actually check in.  Oh that went okay? Well your parents will be booked for the room after the stay even though the hotel has your card on file.

Never again

My first impression was excellent before I even arrived. 24 hours before check-in, I recieved a personalized text (not automated) letting me know of my stay and to ask any questions. I asked about parking and they immediately texted back with helpful information. Front desk was wonderful, absolutely no problems with the room, and the room we booked was the same as expected (corner king). Being a past housekeeper- I tend to notice when some rooms havnt been cleaned well- this is not the case! The entire room was cleaned well, and we really appreciated the effort that went into it. Highly recommend!

Smooth Check In- No problems, Great Room!

The hotel is very clean and kept in tip top condition. The staff are very friendly including the reception, the breakfast waiter, and general manager too. We requested to view or tour  the room prior to make the booking confirmation and it was accepted which is nice. The condition of the hotel is much better compared to other hotels in downtown. 

Very friendly and clean hotel

Everyone was friendly on the staff, especially those working the front desk and bar area. Everything was nice and clean but our only complaint was the bedding was not as comfortable as we would have wanted. We slept okay overall, but the pillows were flat and the sheets wrinkled and dug into our skin a bit, leaving marks. Everything else was good however!

Quick trips are great

The hotel is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful. This will be the place I will always stay when coming to Minneapolis whether its for business or pleasure. Its easy to get to via uber, close the bus, train and attached to the skyway which makes moving around the city super easy. 

Great place to stay in Downtown Minneapolis

I don't travel all that often, but this was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.  Kyle at the bar felt like a long lost friend.  Jacob and Zack fulfilled every request I had and treated me like a rockstar.  The rest of the bar crew was fantastic (Sean, Garrett, Mike, and the breakfast servers).  The hosts were friendly and fulfilled every request I had.  I honestly want to go back to Minneapolis just because of how amazing my experience was.  Should also mention the hotel is perfectly located in DT and was super easy walking to US Bank Stadium and Target Field.  But that was ancillary to the level of service I received.

Aboce and Beyond

Loved this hotel in down town Minneapolis. Very quiet. Loved the room. Felt very spacious. The parking was a little challenging as it was nearby, but had to navigate stairs to get to the hotel. Had a fridge and coffee in the room.

Quiet spacious room

The staff were all very helpful and nice. Clean rooms and very cheerful decor. Location is convenient to downtown. Part of the skywalk system is a bonus. Food in house was very good. Breakfast was great and a short walk in the skyway to an execellent french bakery with awesome croissants.

The service was very disappointing for this stay. The staff walked into our room without any reason. We had the do not disturb sign up and was before our scheduled check out. I woke us up and scared us. 

After Vikings game

We were in town for a wedding. Our room was immaculate. The bathroom was almost as big as the living space with a stand-up shower and a massive tub. It's the little details that made this hotel the perfect fit for us: soft and comfortable beds, plenty of towels, ironing board for our suits, a safe for valuables, responsive climate control, and nice furniture. Slept great here. This is now our go-to hotel in Minneapolis. 

Best 4-star hotel in Minneapolis

In order to get to the garage which the hotel uses it is necessary to climb 29 stairs to the Skyway of the building next door and then walk to the elevators and take them 2 flights down.  This was very hard for me and I couldn't carry my suitcase up the stairs to get to my rental car when I was leaving.  Fortunately, the front desk clerk carried my bag as I couldn't do it on my own. The staff was great but the hotel was bare bones and i found the design of the lobby quite dreary.

Terrible Access

Our desk clerk was friendly enough but either very new or poorly trained. Parking situation brings a lot to be desired.  Overall nice location with many restaurants within a short walk. The beds were very comfortable but no housekeeping during our three day stay other to bring towels.

Parking nIGHTMARE

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is gorgeous inside and out. However, that is pretty much were all the positive ends. We had the three same staff members helping us and being kind, while others were rude, brush us off, or look at us like we asked a dumb question. What made us the most upset, was on gameday, SKOL VIKES, we were told the breakfast was only $10 a person. We were charged $45 for just myself eating. When I asked, they said that they misspoke, and there was nothing they could do to fix it. Yes, we did get drinks as well, however, one drink was $8, and the other $5. So someone please tell me how this supposed $10 breakfast, came out to be $32. On top of it all, all they had left for the breakfast was 2 pieces of bacon, and a blueberry muffin at time.

Not worth the price

Stayed in a King room, the room was clean, bathroom had great lighting, large spacious bathroom area with large shower separate area for toilet, staff was friendly and helpful. The entire hotel appeared to be well kept and clean. We enjoyed our stay is no issues.

Great Stay!

Quaint, downtown hotel in a great location. 
Staff is very friendly and the fact that there aren’t a lot of bars or restaurants around is made up for by the fact that they have a great little bar/restaurant that serves great food. 
Rooms are clean and good sized. 
Highly reccomend. 

Great stay, excellent location

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Minneapolis.  Staff saw to every need!  From the front doorman to the bartender to the staff at the front desk!  They were fantastic!  The food was excellent.  It was a short walk to the U S Bank Stadium for the Vikings game.

Very attentive!

The hotel was eloquently decorated. The room was welcoming and nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable.  The staff was very professional, friendly and welcoming.  We would definitely stay there again.

Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis Review

Highly recommend this hotel. The rooms have been updated with modern amenities including motion night lights at the side of the bed and in the bathroom. And the gym is large with lots of equipment options.

Great night

Park in hotel adjoining garage, enter adjoining building, up the escalator, access hotel thru connecting doorway, paying for parking at hotel Front Desk. Very confusing.
Room vey clean. Well equipped gym. Lobby restaurant food and drinks were good/decently priced.

Downtown stay

clean, comfortable rooms. Beds and pillows are comfortable.  Bathrooms are spacious with good lighting. Large, luxurious tub.  Fitness center is fantastic with lots of equipment.  Located not far from Target center.

good location and accomodations

There's not much to do in downtown Minneapolis, so perhaps this is faint praise, but the Hyatt Centric is my favorite place in downtown Minneapolis.  I go every so often for work, and it has everything you want in a hotel and more!

Fantastic hotel - well above expectations

Attempted to check in at 4:10 when check in began at 3pm. Our room wasn’t ready, but were told we could go park and then come get our room keys. We received very unclear instructions about how to park/where to park and how to re-enter the hotel. We walked through an office building and ended up following signage to the hotel that led us to a door that was locked an only allowed key-card access (but remember, we haven’t received a key yet as we were told to go park first). There was a doorbell to ring if we had a reservation so we spent 5 minutes ringing the doorbell with no response. Then, we had to backtrack and walk half a block to re enter the hotel and finally actually check in. This could have been remedied by having clearer instructions (park in ramp, take the elevator to the street level, walk through a building and back outside to actually get in). 

We finally get up to our room, try to open the door but it gets stuck on a ladder and we hear voices. Maintenance was in our room fixing the air conditioner so we cannot enter our room or stay there. When we got down to the front desk, they seemed to know that they had given us a room that was not able to be stayed in, so why did they give it to us to begin with?

Front desk did give us an upgrade, which was greatly appreciated. The room we stayed in was very large (a suite with a King bed, pull out couch, full bath complete with bathtub separate from shower) and very nice. 

Unfortunately due to the back and forth and extra issues, we ended up missing the ceremony of the wedding we were in town for, but made it for the celebration. 

I don’t know that I would stay here again, we potentially would but would recommend people who are here for events and when timing is of the essence, be sure to give yourself plenty of extra time. 

Nice hotel, big mess of a check in

My flight arrived well before check-in so I asked to drop my luggage at front desk around 10am. Much to my amazement, upon arrival, they had my room ready for me. Totally unexpected but very appreciated!

Great location, even better staff

Pleasantly surprised with our recent stay at this hotel. Accommodations were better much than expected, staff was wonderful and the location was perfect. Don’t forget the fitness area here…it’s amazing!

Better than expected!

We visited Minneapolis this past weekend and stayed at the Hyatt Centric. We were welcomed as Amex members and were offered the perks they go along with that without prompting. 
The property and room were cute and very clean. Our room in particular was very quiet as well.
Everyone we encountered was professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again when we come back! Thank you!

Great location, staff, and property

The staff was great and the rooms have been updated and REALLY nice.  I would highly recommend this place to anyone.  Easy to get to local coffee (Spyhouse Coffee in Emery Hotel about 2 ½ blocks down the road and Hen House and 8th Street Grill very close as well.

Hyatt Centric Minneapolis experience

The hotel and room was beautiful, roomy and clean. The only problem we had was with getting our rooms  cleaned daily which we had requested. We would go out during the day anticipating a clean room to rest and get refreshed before the evening’s activities. What a surprise and disappointment to find our beds unmade and used towels in the bathroom. We had to leave our rooms both days that we were there to get it cleaned.  The manager did try to make it up to use with some snacks and water which we appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience. 

Beautiful Hotel

Very nice hotel with an amazing gym.  Beds, bedding and pillows very nice.   Rooms clean and tidy.  Staff outstandingly helpful, ready to help or advise.  Easy location for scooters, walking and Ubers.  Parking across the street.

Lovely hotel

When I prepay for a room, I expect the money to be taken at that time. That's rather the point of prepayment. So imagine my upset when I arrive day-of, only for over $1,000 in charges and holds to be placed on the low-limit card I had planned to use for the weekend (specifically *because* I didn't want to overspend), and now I wasn't able to do anything thanks to the hotel. 

The room itself was lovely; comfortable, clean, and the bathtub was *amazing*, so it wasn't a total loss, but the check-in situation rather soured the weekend.

The gentleman at the valet station that first night was a godsend, truly above and beyond as he helped me hunt down my friend who had gotten lost in the ramp (yay construction!).  :D

Room was lovely; fees were not

We recently stayed two nights at the Hyatt Centric which was beautiful, clean and well maintained.  It is in the middle of everything downtown.  Highly recommend!  We enjoyed the food and the bar.  All employees were extremely friendly and helpful.

Beuatiful Hotel

Overall very nice hotel in a great location. The staff is welcoming and very accommodating. The fitness center is unlike any other hotel fitness center I have ever seen - it’s basically a full scale health club. Bar and food are very good as well. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Minneapolis. 

Great Hotel!

I can't say enough about our experience at the Hyatt Centric.  The rooms were beautiful - beds were sooooo comfy, with great views of the city! 
The mirrors in the bathroom are  DREAM to get ready with! Amazing lighting! 
The gym is impressive - I was super excited to see they had a few peletons to utilize. 
5 star experience and would definitely book again.

Beautiful Property in Downtown Minneapolis!

Good place to stay in downtown, when you are in town on business. You can walk down to many of the financial businesses from here. Good quiet place to sleep. Limited quick breakfast options, though.          .          .

Excellent Location

Great atmosphere for adults! I would not stay with my kiddos, but it is a FANTASTIC place for a grown up vacation or business meeting. Funky rooms and fun little bar- WONDERFUL service, and close to everything! 

Nifty Place To Stay

A comfortable hotel in a convenient location-walking distance to Target Field, shopping, restaurants, public transportation.  Friendly staff, professional bartenders and restaurant staff.  My special requests were promptly met.  The fitness room is awesome.

Minneapolis wedding

Over all, the hotel looks nice on the outside and the lobby…… but the rooms have no windows to any street, all you can see is another room 15 feet away, so you don’t have sunlight or even air when you open the window. The bathroom is too small and is not clean. 
The worse is the staff they try to charge me again for the stay that was allready payed on Expedia!! 
Never stay here. Find another one. 

Terrible Hotel. Never stay at it

From check-in to check-out, the staff is awesome and the rooms are renovated and beds are comfortable.
Bar was hopping when I checked in, and they had extended the hours to accommodate the group that was there.

Another Awesome stay!

We stayed a few days and had a great time.  The staff was great and very helpful.  Parking available across the street, was convenient but a little pricey.  Normal for Minneapolis downtown.  I would recommend this place when staying in Minneapolis.  

Nice hotel

The staff at the hotel were fantastic, they already had print outs of directions for my daughter’s event location.. They gave great recommendations to local food places and shopping locations as well as travel options… Would definitely stay with them again. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Fencing 🤺 Nationals

We've stayed at the Hyatt Centric several times and each time were impressed with the care and concern from the Front Desk staff.  Last time, we had our little dog along and we were greeted with the same enthusiasm and helpfulness.  The hotel is always clean, comfortable, and has the extra amenities like coffee, water in the lobby 24/7.  The hotel location is perfect for walking to several downtown venues (Target Center, 1st Ave, Mpls Club) as well as great restaurants and convenient shopping.  I highly recommend!

Amazing Front Desk Staff!

This is a unique hotel. Not what I was expecting from a Hyatt property. Very unique layout. The gym was an entire floor of the hotel! In addition, there’s a full basketball court. Racquetball courts. Unclear who would use all of these things, however was excellent as I was here for the sporting tournaments in the convention center.

Also, Great staff. Mark manager/front desk especially helped us out.

Wow the gym!

I have stayed in many Hyatt's and this was the one that stands out from the others. The staff are genuine, friendly and attentive. From the time I checked in, in between and checked out everyone was outstanding. The airport lost my luggage but they assured me that it would come, they provided directions to the mall so I could shop for clothes.  Staff called me personally to let me know my luggage had arrived and she had tagged it and placed it in my room without me requesting her to contact me. The Staff  knew how important it was for me to have my luggage.  When I returned later that the day the guy's at the front desk also alerted me that my luggage was in. They always addressed me personally. Everyone at the Front desk that I interacted with was beyond 100% in customer service... making the guest feel welcome was natural........ The Hyatt Mangers  should be proud to have such an amazing team represent the HYATT brand... There  professionalism, courtesy  and there kindness speaks in volume.  It's rare to find such am amazing team with positive attitudes and smiles.  When guest approach them they were very attentive giving everyone the same level of customer service. Words cannot express my sincere appreciation for the team !!! I really appreciate them making my stay there the best. Just their personal touches made me feel better by just asking how was your day !!!!  Again their energy was natural not rehearsed very genuine………The rooms are spacious and very clean,  the food and the home squeezed margarita was AMAZING.. You may not think the hotel is centrally located to the downtown area but it is ideal for walking....... A great stay!



Hyatt Staff Saved the Day

Great location. Close to the light rail snd other downtown destinations are within walking distance. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Great quality of bed snd room was quiet. All of the staff were courteous, prompt and professional. Mark was top notch. Breakfast food was decent.  I would stay again.

Excellent

Beautiful historic building with updated large rooms, comfortable bed, huge bathroom with soaking tub and glass shower. The soap and bath products were nice and the towels were plush. 
The only odd thing is the toilet is like one you’d find in a store bathroom. No tank just a medal handle.  
Friendly staff and bartenders. Room Cleaning only done when requested but can get more Keurig coffee and tea pods. 
Location is great for walking to mill district, restaurants, and most site seeing places in the city. Would definitely stay here again. 

Perfect location

Stayed at the Hyatt Centric for the first time since the pandemic and the remodeling and change of management. I was a loyal Kimpton client and stayed at the hotel at least monthly for ten years. 

It’s still terrific. 



As nice as Hyatt as it was as Kimpton

It’s not a four-star hotel with the level of service currently provided. The room was nice, the surroundings are nice, but there is no luxury element at the moment.  Man at desk was rather rude. Manager at check-in did his best but we had to wait an hour to check-in as there was no one to clean the room. 

Understaffed and confused

We stayed here for a concert at Target Center. It seemed like a safe place downtown and is a very reasonable walk away. A beautiful hotel with food and entertainment close by. I will most likely stay here again for concerts.

Excellent Downtown Stay

Great place to stay with easy access to public transportation. Close enough to the convention center to walk or take the free bus on Nicollet Mall. Lots of restaurant options around. Just remember with current protocols to inform the front desk how often you would like housekeeping.

Very nice downtown hotel

Great hotel, good location, staff at the hotel friendly and professional, very comfortable room, attention to detail.  Walking distance to lots of restaurants & shopping, skywalk very very comfortable stay

Magnificent Minneapolis

Rooms were beyond clean!!!  All rooms were different so when we asked for a slightly bigger room for our 2nd night they quickly had one cleaned and ready for us.  Anything we asked for they were super helpful!  Customer service was exceptional!!

MSHSL event

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times over past several months due to good location for my business meetings and reasonable rates, but on many of my visits my room heat has either not worked or not worked properly, having to sleep in sweatshirt has gotten old, so my remaining 40-50 nights of Minneapolis hotel room stays will be at a different hotel.

Can’t continue with poor HVAC

Great staff beautiful clean rooms I've stayed here on more then one occasion and each time is better then the last. Definitely recommend for a peaceful pleasant experience. Not to mention the beautiful scenery.

Perfect

I have stayed at the hotel 3 times in the last couple of months. The staff, rooms, and property are all excellent. The gym is amazing and the food and beverage selection is very good. I've stayed at many hotels in the downtown Minneapolis area, but this is my new favorite. 

Wonderful Property

The staff was very welcoming and helpful, they were training someone new when we were checking un but it in no way slowed down our check in time. They also gave us some additional information about the surrounding area and popular things to do. They also upgraded out room randomly and it was a great way to spend my anniversary!

Great Time

The parking ramp is horrible. We checked in later in the evening. Nearest elevator in ramp was closed, so we took another one, which dropped us off in a shopping mall. Got kicked out by security, who said, "Oh, the elevator access should have been locked." When we explained we were TRYING to leave, but had no idea how to get to the exit nearest the hotel, the guard kindly helped us. The next morning, the hotel staff told us that we should take the skywalk to the ramp...but it was closed. We walked across the snowy street, only to find that the door to access the ramp stairs was locked, so we ended up walking up the ramp and hoping that no cars were exiting (or we would have gotten mushed).

Room was on top floor, but the when the elevator dropped us off, there was still a short flight of stairs to walk up.

Artwork in room was a little weird, but the room itself was clean and comfortable, so there's that.

Hotel okay; parking is a nightmare

Manager went above and beyond to find me a phone charger from lost and found when I realized I left my charger at home. And when the first charger didn’t work he found me another. Client service is extraordinarily!

We were in Minneapolis for a Holiday show.  Hotel exceptionally clean, central location close to everything we wanted, including great restaurants and theaters.  Great exercise area - much needed after great restaurants.  Still in process of opening but bar accommodations were ample and easy, if somewhat expensive.  

Great downtown night

The Minneapolis athletic Club building (1901) was updated as the Hyatt Centric. Quiet hotel with large comfortable room and good bathroom. Good downtown location BUT downtown is dead over the weekend and the skywalk is locked. If it's cold out you don't want to walk too far for restaurants, etc. and at night it's so empty it's a bit creepy. Very expensive parking ($49 valet weekends; $28 self-parking).

Comfortable updated hotel in a historic building

Hyatt Centric in Minneapolis was outstanding. Great rooms and very clean which I always get from Hyatt but the staff was exceptional.  It was certainly apparent that management cared about their employees because ALL were happy and pleasant and wanted to help out!

Parents weekend at the University of Minnesota

 The hotel room was in excellent condition. The check-in was simple, pleasant and quick. Being located down town Minneapolis is nice and close to some good places to check out. Only stayed for a night but worth it in the end. 

Very Good

This hotel is well located and takes covid protocols seriously. The staff were welcoming and friendly at all times. The gym is huge and due to covid (I'm guessing) it was never crowded (one other person the times I was there). There is even an indoor running track!

Unfortunately the parking situation was awful and dangerous. The food service was lacking in variety, availability and organization.  We never did receive our breakfast order.  The desk did comp us a meal from the night before however I have health issue and need to eat a previous comped meal did not effectively help the situation.

It was clean and nice people help us out love the check out the parking lot right across the street love the room service the food was excellent the manger he was so nice to us help with our luggage so kind people that wirk there

From check-in to check-out it was an enjoyable, stress-free stay. 

A beautifully restored and updated historic property in the heart of downtown Minneapolis —a few minutes walk from the light rail  from the airport. 

The most amazing hotel gym I’ve been in ! Indoor running track, squash courts, amazing weights and resistance equipment. Central  to everything. Can’t wait to come back and stay longer.  

Great gem in downtown Minneapolis

While the rooms and hotel common areas were clean, we were really disappointed with the size of the room. It is much smaller than advertised on the hotel website. Also, when we initially checked in, the staff at the front desk seem bothered by helping us, and less courteous than we hoped (and our expectations weren't very high to begin with). The staff who helped us load our luggage on carts were super helpful though, and we are very grateful to them.

Update your website!  No pool and no continental breakfast.   Again, continental breakfast is whatever but we reserved the place for the pool so the kids could swim and turned out the pool was no longer.   Would’ve booked a different place with a pool had we known.   UPDATE THE WEBSITE

Your hotel exceeded all of my expectations. I was slightly worried about the security of the hotel with it being in the center of the city but I was very impressed with the door locks and the elevator pass. Every time I entered the lobby if I was leaving the hotel or coming back from outside I was welcomed and greeted instantly. The rooms were spotless and very stylish. I will be staying here my next trip to the cities!! 10/10 review for everything! It was just special. 

Best hotel ever

We expected good, we got great.  Clean, professional, and full of very helpful staff.  Our room was great, decor and atmosphere was more than we figured (a good thing).  The big thing that stands out is how helpful amd caring the staff seemed.  It was a memorable one night trip and we want to come back.

High class

I give it a five star review do to the customer care that every employee at the time of our visit had, I have no complaints only hiccup was our ac worked off and on but the room was clean and spacious the location was close to the stadium and train system it was an amazing time 

Friendly and fun

We drove in from WA state, covid impacted the area so its pretty quiet.  The bartender was very nice but didn't seem to have any bartending training whatsoever, he didn't know how to make an old fashioned but was very willing to try.  The staff were very courteous and helpful.  Not many parking spaces for the hotel in the garage, and no valet parking.  The route from the garage to hotel can take a bit to navigate.

2 nights

The employees were excellent! They helped with each one of my requests and did it promptly and with a smile. Got a free room upgrade and the room was great. Great bed and view. Very clean. Will for sure stay at again next time.

Very clean and friendly!

Conveniently located in downtown the building is beautiful and my quiet room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant was closed due to COVID. I look forward to staying here again. Very impressed. 


Excellent value

Clean room and quiet building.  Went to Mpls for a Twins game and this was a nice location near many restaurants and easy walk to the field.  Parking across the street is convenient and staff was helpful.

Nice experience

We were checked in pyrethrum quickly and welcomed as Hyatt member . The front desk person Gigi was very professional and gave us instructions on the parking as well as the Covid protocols in place . We love staying at Hyatt as the sleep we get because of amazing mattress is great

I loved staying at this hotel. The staff were amazing and helpful. The location is great, not far from the metro stations, bus station, restaurants and grocery stores.
I don't know if I can name anything that I'd change. The stay was great.

Amazing experience downtown

Rooms were very well kept, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the King Delux. For somewhere that's not your home they did a good job of making you feel comfortable enough like home. Despite COVID's restrictions the hotel did their best to accommodate all needs and it was very much appreciated. The staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. They made me want to only stay in Hyatt hotels from now on.
