Caring for the planet is at the heart of Hyatt’s purpose, to care for people so they can be their best. At Hyatt Centric Malta, we are committed to continuously reducing our environmental impact while fostering a responsible approach to hospitality that supports both our people and the island we call home.

SHIJI Digital Dine QR Experience
In Food & Beverage, the introduction of the SHIJI Digital Dine platform enables guests to access menus and place orders via QR code, significantly reducing printed materials while streamlining service delivery. This digital-first approach supports efficiency while contributing to a lower environmental footprint.
Across Front Office operations, electronic invoicing has replaced traditional paper-based processes. Invoices are issued digitally and delivered directly via email, eliminating routine printing and reducing administrative waste.
Digital signage has also replaced printed directional boards and promotional displays throughout the property, ensuring that messaging remains flexible, up to date, and environmentally responsible.

Hyatt Centric Malta Guest Room
Housekeeping practices support sustainability through structured waste separation in both guest rooms and back-of-house areas. Guests are encouraged to participate through in-room recycling initiatives.
The hotel uses sustainable bathroom amenities, including refillable shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner dispensers, with biodegradable soap packaging.
In line with Hyatt brand standards, linen changes are scheduled every three days, with guests given the option to opt out of daily housekeeping service to further reduce water, energy, and chemical usage.

Hyatt Centric Malta Corridor Lighting
The Maintenance team actively manages energy and water consumption through ongoing efficiency measures aligned with Hyatt’s global sustainability standards.
Censored motion-sensor lighting has been installed throughout the property, including public bathrooms, garages, and guest rooms, ensuring lighting is only used when needed. These systems help reduce unnecessary energy consumption while maintaining comfort and safety for guests.
