Hotel Policies

Check In / Check Out

  • Express check in and check out is available through the World of Hyatt app.
  • A valid credit card is required at check-in.
  • Guests must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Check-in from 4:00PM to 12:00AM/midnight. If you’re checking in after midnight, please advise hotel.
  • Check-out is before noon.
  • Guests key cards are required to enter the hotel from 10:00PM to 8:00AM.

Pets Are Welcome

We are delighted to welcome your canine companions at our pet-friendly downtown Seattle hotel! Upon arrival, your dog will receive a special welcome treat, and our concierge can assist with nearby walking routes, pet shops, groomers, veterinarians and local pet-friendly establishments. Our housekeeping staff will deliver a dog bed and water bowls. 

Pet Fees

  • Dogs Only: $100 / 1 STAY

Weight Limits

  • Individual pet weight limit:  50 Pounds
  • Combined pets weight limit: 75 Pounds
  • Maximum number of pets is 2.

To participate in our pet program, guests must agree to the following:

  • Pet Policy Agreement: Guests must sign a pet policy agreement, which includes emergency contact information, a pet profile, and an indemnification form.
  • Supervision: Dogs cannot be left unattended in the room at any time.
  • Housekeeping Services: Dogs must not be in the room during housekeeping services.
  • Liability: Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets. The hotel does not assume liability for a guest’s pet or its actions during the stay.
  • Public Areas: Dogs are not permitted in public areas, including The Elliott Bar, Grand Club Lounge, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and the fitness center.

*We welcome guests with disabilities traveling with their service animals. Service animals are not pets and are not subject to this Pet Policy. For more information, please contact the hotel.

Payment and Incidentals

  • Grand Hyatt Seattle is a cash-free environment and is no longer exchanging or accepting cash as a payment.
  • All major credit cards are accepted.
  • There is a $75 per night authorization for incidental charges. Any unused authorization is fully released within 7–10 business days after checkout, based on your banking institution.

Rollaways

  • Rollaways are only allowed in suites and rooms with one king bed. Due to fire policy, rollaways are not allowed in rooms with two double beds.
  • There is no charge for a rollaway, and based on availability.

Guest Rooms and Suites

To ensure an enjoyable stay for all guests, we strongly enforce the following hotel policies. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

  • Per state regulations, no more than five people can be in a guest room.
  • Quiet hours are from 9:00PM – 6:00AM. Disruption may result in eviction of all unregistered guests from the room and eviction of registered guests if noise persists.
  •  Our hotel is a smoke- and drug-free facility. Should we find any evidence of this, there will be a minimum of $250 charged to your room. 
  • Excessive cleaning needs that result in a delay for the next guests’ enjoyment, will result in a minimum of $250 charged to your room. Guests are responsible for any damages in guest rooms and suites.

Photography & Videography

  • We encourage our guests to take personal video or still photographs while enjoying your visit for noncommercial purpose.
  • To ensure enjoyment of all our guests, written permission from the Hotel is required to utilize our hotel property (indoor/outdoor) for professional portrait photography or videography purposes, including but not limited to weddings, engagements, class, family and individual portraits, advertising photography and model/fashion shoots, etc. 
  • Kindly note that unauthorized professional photographers/videographers will be asked to leave the hotel property immediately.

Policy Against Harassment

At Hyatt, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all our guests to ensure everyone feels respected, valued, and free from discrimination. We do not tolerate any form of bigotry, racism, transphobia, or other harmful behavior. Guests are expected to treat each other and hotel staff with kindness and consideration. We prohibit discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Harassment, including verbal, physical, or online, is strictly forbidden. Examples of harassment include offensive jokes, derogatory comments, or unwanted advances. We respect guests’ gender identity and preferred pronouns- deliberately using incorrect pronouns or names is unacceptable. If you experience or witness any form of discrimination or harassment, please report it to our staff immediately. We take all reports seriously and will address them promptly. Violations of this policy may result in refusal of service or eviction from the hotel without a refund. Please reference Ordinance SMC 14.26 for details on our local laws associated with this policy.

  • To ship packages: Two FedEx locations are within two blocks of Grand Hyatt Seattle.
