Our commitment to being environmentally conscious extends to every aspect of our green hotel in Seattle. Through a variety of initiatives, we keep sustainability and green efforts as pillars to guide how we operate. Carbon Emissions and Water
- We are Green Key certified to 5 Keys, the highest level
- Water is served in large carafes during meetings and events to reduce single use plastic bottle consumption.
- Daily operation reports are used to effectively schedule heating, cooling and lighting.
- Use of high efficiency lighting throughout public and meeting spaces
- Use of timers and motion sensors in back of house areas to ensure lights are turned off when necessary
- We use Hyatt EcoTrack to monitor sustainability metrics including gas emissions, energy, water, waste, and recycling.

Waste and Circularity
- Green cleaning procurement policy reduces hazards from cleaning products, reduces packaging waste and maintains indoor air quality
- Housekeeping service is performed every other day unless requested and linens are changed as needed
- Waste is sorted for recycling and composting to divert as much as possible from landfills
- Large format amenities in the guestrooms greatly reduce plastic waste

Our Food Philosophy
- Within the operation, 50% of food is locally grown and 60% of seafood is sustainably harvested
- Partner with food distributors and businesses dedicated to ocean conservancy and application of sustainable practices
- Leftover and untouched food is donated to local hunger-eliminating nonprofit
