Overall, the service was very good. Delight (Chinese Restaurant) was very accommodative in preparing non spicy dishes and also managed to serve dinner when we returned from Huanglong near their last order time. Location within walking distance from Chunxi Road Shopping area like IFS.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu and truly enjoyed our experience. The hotel’s location is fantastic and incredibly convenient, with shopping, dining, and many attractions nearby. It made exploring Chengdu so easy and enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful, making us feel very well taken care of throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I sprained my ankle while traveling in China and needed a wheelchair. I was very grateful that the hotel kindly lent me one during my stay, which made getting around much easier. Thank you to the entire team at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu for making our stay so comfortable. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would happily return the next time we visit Chengdu!

I had a phenomenal stay, largely thanks to your incredible team! I wanted to say a huge thank you to the wonderful staffs. I was greeted with such warmth at the business lounge during checking in, that I instantly felt at ease. I was truly touched when staffs came over to greet me at breakfast—it had been almost 3 years since my last stay, yet they still remembered me! Their smiles, kindness gave me such a lovely, homey feeling. Awesome services from the mgr & his staffs at the #8 restaurant, went further to offer ice cream for the kid, was just amazing. And last but certainly not least, ms T. went above and beyond with her genuine care. Her outstanding service was the cherry on top and made my entire stay feel so comfortable. And intentionally dropping by to send us (me & my friends) off at the end of my stay.

Grand Hyatt delivered all I wanted for a foodie tour of Chengdu with its impeccable combination of top notch quality and variety. Award winning hotpot restaurant #8, Club Lounge with full and delicious meals, lovely breakfast. Wonderful F&B manager Sophia Wu guided me through the intricacies of Sichuan cuisine and even arranged for a tea tasting session. I did not need to hire a food guide this time. Warm, responsive hospitality (leaps above Waldorf Astoria's "hollow hospitality"). GH's location is also excellent, only a stroll to IFS and Tai Koo Li, without crossing any major road, unlike for St Regis and Crowne Plaza. Stayed twice at GH and looking forward to a longer next stay.

Grand Hyatt Chengdu is in a fantastic central location and offers excellent facilities, outstanding food, and high-quality service. I traveled with my family, including several young children, and our experience was made truly memorable by Ms. Rui Zhang (Cherry) at the front desk. Cherry was exceptionally welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. From the moment we arrived, she made my family and me feel valued and at home. She was patient, attentive, and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and passion for hospitality were evident in every interaction, and they made a lasting impact on our stay. Cherry is a wonderful ambassador for the Grand Hyatt brand, and I hope her dedication and outstanding service are recognized. Thank you, Cherry, for turning our stay into such a positive experience. Another great stay at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu. While the property is starting to show its age, it remains exceptionally well-maintained, and the top-notch service across all departments more than makes up for it. The club lounge is still a major highlight, offering a highly welcoming and comfortable environment. A couple of practical tips for travelers: Concierge: The concierge team is fantastic and handled our incoming delivery packages flawlessly. Location/Traffic: The central location is highly convenient, but traffic around the Chunxi Road area can be heavily congested - definitely factor in extra transit time if you are taking taxis or ride-shares.

Great service from start to finish. The breakfast is opulent with daily seasonal menu of Chinese and western food. Staff was very friendly and helpful to our family and kids with recommendations. Room was large with great views, very comfortable. Location in center of Taikooli can’t be beat. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic customer service, among the best in over 1000 nights I stay at Hyatt. If including Marriott I have stayed over 2000 nights in my lifetime and this property stood out not just its location and hardware but its fantastic customer service, especially at the main breakfast restaurant. Staff named Carry was fantastic, meticulous helpful and went out of her way to accommodate my dietary requirements. Front office manager Aurora was also super helpful in ensuring our room requirements were met. Location was great in the middle of the city and walking distance to what I consider to be the most beautiful mall in the world, Taikoo Li.

The location was perfect and close to restaurants and shopping area. The service inside was lousy. Upon checking in, the guy at the counter didn’t know what time breakfast started. He said 7am but I call from the room to verify and it’s at 0630. No hooks to hang used towels in the bathroom. Too many mirrors in the hallway and bathroom. It’s alike a mirror funhouse that makes me dizzy. No hand soap at the sinks. No amenities like extra toothbrush, shower cap, or lotion either it was clean, room was small, housekeeping was attentive, laundry was overpriced. You’re definitely paying for the prime location and nothing more. Big disappointment the price I paid. Praise to housekeeping though.

The room was clean. The view is good where I could see the walking streets down below. The only issue was the room missing a hair dryer. After I had requested, the staff sent one to my room right away.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Grand Hyatt Chengdu, where we booked five rooms for our trip. From the very beginning, the experience was exceptional. I would especially like to express my sincere appreciation to Ms. Scarlett. I had requested for all our rooms to be arranged on the same floor—a request I fully understood to be challenging, particularly given our group size. Having traveled extensively, I know that many hotels are unable to accommodate such arrangements. However, Ms. Scarlett and her team went above and beyond to make it happen seamlessly. This thoughtful effort truly made our family stay more convenient and enjoyable. To our delight, one of our rooms was also upgraded to a suite, which was a wonderful and much-appreciated gesture that added an extra touch of comfort to our trip. The hospitality throughout the hotel was outstanding. The staff were consistently warm, polite, and highly efficient. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ms. Faye, Ms. Flora, Ms. Riya, and Ms. Victoria, as well as other team members whose names I unfortunately did not note down. Each of them contributed to making our stay memorable with their attentive service. I would also like to give special thanks to the housekeeping staff who took care of our rooms. Although I regret that I did not get her name, she was incredibly kind and attentive. From the very first day we checked in, she fulfilled all our requests perfectly and continued to do so consistently throughout our stay, without us needing to remind or repeat anything. This level of care and dedication, shown through such small but meaningful actions, truly warmed our hearts. The breakfast at the hotel deserves special mention—it is truly one of the best I have experienced. The variety and quality were excellent, with the noodle station and fresh fruit juices being particular highlights. I would also like to thank Mr. Eddie for kindly arranging early breakfast boxes for us before our trip to Leshan. This thoughtful gesture ensured that we could start our day smoothly despite our early departure. Overall, our stay at Grand Hyatt Chengdu exceeded expectations in every way. The combination of exceptional service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression on my family and me. Without hesitation, I can say that we will definitely return on our next visit.

Strategic location, just a doorstep away to the Chunxi Street, lots of foods in the area and also near to Taikoo Li , which is a very nice area to be in. Love the Hotel Room and also the service, Hyatt always make us feel like home. To add on, there is a very nice Spa bath house just across the Hotel. We enjoyed it very much

Great hotel, fantastic room and amenities , great location! We stayed in a suite and missed the happy hour by 5 minutes. The front office surprised us with a fruit platter and a nice bottle of wine! At breakfast I asked for a decaf cappuccino, the next two mornings they remembered that without asking! Walking distance from the shopping experience!

Staying in a suite room and the aircon in the living room is not working properly. Thought out my stay the temperature stay at 24+ degree regardless that i had set it to 20 Degree.

Its an old hotel. You might argue its decent value given its still a Grand Hyatt, but if you don't care for the brand and full facilities (gym, etc.) then there are so many options with much fresher service and fixtures...

The Grand Hyatt Chengdu is a great upscale hotel with excellent services. It's also centrally located to many shopping centers and restaurants, so many places that are walkable.

A centrally located hotel around the corner from Chunxi Road. Super convenient location to walk around, do more touristy shopping, and see douyin filmed live. The stay is as expected from Grand Hyatt and would stay again. Really appreciated how they delivered my takeout directly to my room.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt Chengdu hotel. Hotel is at a very good location (Chunxi road) with lots of food options, shopping (IFS, Taikoo Li) within walking distance. Room is clean and big. Would return again and recommend without hesitation.

I Booked two rooms using a "Guest of Honor" reward for me and my family, I asked if I had gotten a room upgrade and was told yes on check in, but got the basic king rooms that I paid for. No mention or recognition of the globalist benefit, including late checkout.
