Room was cold on arrival as room heating not working, eventually we were given a small electrical heater for our 4 night stay - however this worked intermittently as it had a loose cable. The room had a had used complimentary water bottle in the room on arrival. One morning at 7:45am we were woken by maintenance men working in the corridor outside our room, we complained to reception but heard nothing back. No one explained to us how breakfast worked in the hotel, we had to ask how we ordered a coffee etc. The Spa facilities are very good, although again the protocols weren’t explained etc. We had high expectations and chose the hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, unfortunately we didn’t experience a 5 star stay.

Very central, a 10 minute walk to the Brandenberg Gate and immaculately presented with lovely rooms and attentive & friendly staff…I’ll be back!

I would stay here again. Traveled to Berlin for the Berlin marathon. Hotel location was near S and U bahn. The hotel is about a one mile walk to the start line. But getting back to the hotel after finishing the race is kind of a pain, as you need to cross the race course near the Brandenburg gates and then find a way to cross the course again via the underground station to get back to the hotel after the race. Breakfast was perfect especially before the race (opened early on marathon day). Requested a quiet room, and my room was indeed quiet. If I had two pieces of feedback for the hotel, is that 19C/66F for the A/C didn't feel like that in the room (we also asked the front desk to see if our A/C was broken and apparently it wasn't). Also, it would be nice to have an option for a blanket that wasn't so thick. If I am so lucky to get to come back to run the marathon again, I would stay here.

Didn’t expect to have such an amazing time. Expected some hype with the Berlin Marathon and activities in Munich, but the people and vibe of city and at hotel …and Berlin also added to the romance game for my wife I. More than I could have hoped for…still marinating in experience.

Luxury hotel, reflected in the price. Good location to walk to many sites, we found this convenient, as well as easy to walk to many restaurants.

Marvelous and convenient hotel at the heart of Potsdamer Platz, with exquisite finishes, helpful staff, comfortable beds, big TVs and delicious breakfast. We were so sad to leave and can't wait to return some day.

The location is very convenient near train station and bus and sub stations. Hope and hope off stops near by. I didn’t eat breakfast because I didn’t included it and it was costly if you want to add later. I just wish the hotel lighting to be lighter and decor to be updated at the lobby but it was met my expectation of high end hotel. It was quiet as long as the windows closed. The room is spacious compare to other hotels. Many restaurants are near the hotel.

The Grand Hyatt Berlin is everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel and more. The breakfast was spectacular, the room was gorgeous and the bar staff were great.

I made a reservation at Hyatt.com and then received an email stating I needed to prepay in full in order to receive the special rate. I obliged. At checkout, I was assured I would get my full deposit back. Sure enough, I was charged an extra €50 and was told my prepaid only covered 90% of the rate! Feel like I am dealing with a scamming third-rate hotel instead of a Grand Hyatt.

Central location, helpful and responsive staff. Fruit supplied daily, Balmain toiletries, magazines in room, nice decor, clean and quiet.
