Climate Change and Water Conservation
To minimise our environmental impact in energy and water management, our ongoing initiatives target significant reductions in carbon emissions and water consumption by combining sustainable building practices with regular audits.
- Harnessing Natural Light: Reducing our reliance on electricity and creating a more natural and brighter atmosphere in meeting rooms and public spaces.
- Advanced HVAC Efficiency: Variable speed drives on chilled water pumps and cooling tower fans optimise energy use for climate control.
- LED Lighting Transition: Every lighting fixture is set to utilise energy-saving LED technology, resulting in lower electricity use over time.
- Proactive Energy Management: Regular ASHRAE energy audits to enhance operational efficiency.
- Smart Window Technology: Exterior window film reduces heat, lowering cooling requirements and enhancing comfort.
- Rigorous Energy & Water Audits: Comprehensive audits are conducted every five years to track performance and guide strategy.
- Independent System Verification: Third-party commissioning audits ensure our building systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Data-Driven Stewardship: Using Hyatt's global environmental sustainability software EcoTrack to track greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, waste and recycling metrics in real time.
- Associate Engagement: Through targeted and cross-departmental engagement, we empower every associate with ISO 14001-certified knowledge.

Waste and Circularity
Where waste becomes worth and is transformed into resources through pioneering partnerships, so that every resource gets a second life.
- Paper & Plastic Reprocessed: Partnering with SCG Packaging and SCG Chemicals, we recycle cardboard, paper and food packaging into new materials.
- Repurposed Uniforms: Wear the change. We’ve partnered with CIRCULAR to turn textile waste into new associate uniforms.
- Waste-to-Energy Innovation: With Corsair Group, we convert chemical packaging into clean bio-oil — turning 2,236 kg of plastic into fuel in 2024.
- Food Rescue Revolution: Our collaboration with Yindii rescues surplus buffet and bakery items, offering them as “surprise baskets,” reducing waste while delighting communities.
- Zero Oil Reuse Policy: We partner with Bangchak to repurpose used cooking oil into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), supporting circular energy solutions.

Responsible Sourcing
Sustainability drives our sourcing decisions, from the kitchen to the conference room, prioritizing ethical practices that protect ecosystems and support communities.
- Sustainable Seafood: 34% of our annual 300-ton seafood supply is certified by MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) and ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council). Shark fin products are strictly prohibited.
- Cage-free eggs are used across all restaurants, events and staff dining facilities.
- Our coffee and tea are made from organic Thai-grown blends.
- We follow a farm-to-table philosophy using seasonal, low-mileage Thai produce and Royal Project ingredients across all restaurants.
- At You&Mee, we use plant-based protein and are expanding its availability across all restaurants.
- By replacing plastic drinking water bottles with reusable glass bottles, we eliminate approximately 348,000 single use plastic water bottles annually and aim to further increase this positive impact in the coming years.
