The Rothwell Suite

The Rothwell Suite is the hotel’s largest event space, offering 204.3 sq. m of wood-panelled design with natural daylight and a 3 m acoustic ceiling. Equipped with ceiling-mounted projectors, drop-down screens, a PA system and lectern, it is ideal for conferences, awards dinners and large events. The suite accommodates 112 classroom, 214 theatre, 180 seated dining, 230 reception or 120 cabaret, and can also be divided into the Lewis and Waterhouse Rooms.

The Bernstein Suite

The Bernstein Suite combines the Eddington, Foster and Robinson Rooms to create 143.5 sq. m of flexible event space. With dual-aspect natural light and 3.6 m acoustic ceilings, it is ideal for conferences, banquets and large events. The suite is equipped with two ceiling-mounted projectors, 2.5 m drop-down screens, an in-built PA system and a lectern with fixed microphone. It accommodates 54 classroom, 130 theatre, 100 seated dining, 140 for a reception or 80 cabaret.

The Lewis Room is the larger half of the Rothwell Suite, offering 103.7 sq. m with a 3 m acoustic ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows. Located beside the second-floor events lobby and atrium, it is ideal for conferences, training and private dining. The room is equipped with a ceiling-mounted projector, a 3 m drop-down screen and a lectern, and hosts 52 classroom, 100 theatre, 80 for a seated meal, 100 for a drinks reception or 64 cabaret. For larger events, it can interconnect with the Waterhouse Room to form the 204.3 sq. m Rothwell Suite.

Perfect for smaller meetings, it hosts up to 20 theatre style or 10 for boardroom and 16 for private dining. One of our most unique spaces, the Turing Room is a 47.6 sq. m suite with a marble boardroom table for eight and an oversized U-shaped sofa. Light floods the space from floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the atrium. Designed for creativity and collaboration, it hosts up to 8 boardroom or 20 for a drinks reception.

Event Lobby

The Events Lobby is the central hub of the dedicated meetings and events floor, designed for delegates to meet, register and connect. Accessed by the feature staircase from the main lobby or by lift, the space benefits from natural light streaming through the four-storey atrium. Integrated coffee stations and stylish seating around the fire sit alongside a marble top bar and contemporary furnishings, while guest restrooms ensure added convenience. Overlooking the Graduate Bar & Terrace, it provides the ideal environment for registration, delegate lunches, informal networking and post-event drinks.

The Garden

The Garden is located alongside the Graduate Bar, creating a versatile outdoor space for meetings and events. Featuring the Manchester Bee sculpture and landscaped planters for privacy, it offers flexible seating and options for networking in the open air. The space links directly into the atrium area of the bar, which can be used together with the terrace for larger drinks receptions and delegate gatherings. With pop-up bar service available, it is ideal for summer barbecues, informal receptions and post-event networking.
