There’s a lot that goes into planning the most magical day of a couple’s life. Especially when that day includes multiple ceremonies, 1,100 guests, and an elaborate after-party with a 40-foot LED wall and LED DJ booth. But if you ask these newly married lovebirds, it was completely worth it.
Dallasites Anisha Nanu and Paras Khara were married at Hyatt Regency Dallas on Saturday, June 1.
A Reception for One Thousand
For the 1,100 person reception, wedding planner Nirali Shah and Dallas-based decorator Prashe Decor worked to transform the Landmark Ballroom at the Hyatt into a scene from a Las Vegas nightclub.

“We are thrilled to bring Michael Koffler on as our new General Manager, and we’re excited about the leadership he brings to the hotel after decades of experience with Hyatt,” said John Scovell, Chairman of Woodbine Development Corporation, asset manager of Hyatt Regency Dallas.
Koffler started his Hyatt career in 1982 as assistant manager of the coffee shop at Hyatt Regency New Orleans. He has since held a variety of positions with Hyatt properties, including Hyatt at Hilton Head Island, Grand Cypress, Buffalo, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Capitol Hill, before becoming General Manager at Hyatt West Hollywood. He was also GM at Hyatt Regency Monterey, Park Hyatt Carmel and Hyatt Vacation Club Carmel, as well as Resident Manager at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego.
In 2006, he moved to the Hyatt Corporate Office as Vice President of Hotel Operations for Select Service Hotels, Americas, where he helped launch the new Hyatt Place and Hyatt House select service brands and oversaw a portfolio of 368 properties. Most recently, he was Regional Vice President of Hyatt Place/Hyatt House and Full Service Franchise Operations, Asia Pacific. Based in Kowloon, Hong Kong, he opened 25 hotels in Asia while in this role.
Michael was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, and is moving to Dallas with his fiancé, Anne, and their two Main Coon cats.

Hyatt Regency Dallas is proud is be recognized by the Dallas Independent School District as the 2018/1019 Outstanding P-Tech Industry Partner – Collegiate Academy for its work at the Lincoln High School B-TECH Program this year.
The B-TECH Program is designed to prepare students, beginning in 9th grade, for college and future hospitality careers. This collaborative effort includes Lincoln High School, El Centro Community College, University of North Texas, and Hyatt Regency Dallas. The students will receive their High School diploma while earning credits towards an Associate’s degree, and will get the opportunity to transfer to UNT Dallas to complete a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management. As an industry partner, Hyatt is committed to providing workplace learning to develop the specific skills needed to success in the hospitality industry. This is Hyatt’s first year of a six-year commitment.
