Policies & FAQs

Outside Vendors

Due to liability and legal restrictions, all food and beverage items must be supplied and prepared by the Hotel. Although we recommend you use vendors from our Recommended Services list, we do allow you to bring vendors in that are not on our list. The hotel will not be responsible for these vendors hired. We require all vendors to be licensed and insured. All vendors are responsible to secure their own insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000.00 and hold The Hyatt Regency Orlando harmless from any losses, insured or uninsured. Such certificate must be presented to the hotel prior to the load-in or entrance will be denied.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of estimated charges is due upon signing the contract. A second deposit of an additional 25% is due six months prior to the wedding date. Remaining balance of all estimated charges shall be paid ten (10) business days prior to the wedding. Payments may be made by debit, credit or cashier’s check.

Fees and Taxes

All ceremony and reception package pricing is subject to 26% taxable service charge and 6.5% tax.

Will I have a location inside if weather does not permit my wedding outside?

Yes, the hotel will reserve a space inside in case weather does not permit us to host your wedding outside. A collaborative decision will be made by the hotel, decorator, wedding planner, bride and groom on the day of the wedding. The location will be determined on the morning of the event.

What is the food and beverage minimum when holding a wedding at The Hyatt Regency Orlando?

The hotel will set a food and beverage minimum that is comfortable and easy to achieve.

Can we create a custom menu for the event?

Our world-class chefs and culinary experts will be inspired by you, and collaborate to create a unique menu for your event. Hyatt Regency Orlando is committed to creating menus that delight all tastes. We offer authentic Indian cuisine for ethnic celebrations; and, coming soon, Hyatt Regency Orlando will offer kosher catering services from our dedicated on-site kosher kitchen.

Will the hotel’s catering manager be present the day of our event?

Yes. The catering manager is your contact from beginning to end. He or she will be present at the event to provide critical oversight of the banquet preparation and service execution, and coordinate all on-site internal operations to ensure a seamless and flawless event.

Why should I hire a wedding planner?

It is beneficial to have a professional wedding planner who will concentrate on your needs and ease the apprehension that often accompanies the planning of such a special event. A professional wedding planner is able to assist with design elements, vendor referrals and other selection processes while making sure that all event details are attended to, allowing you to relax and enjoy your wedding day surrounded by family and friends. We recommend hiring a wedding planner from our Recommended Services list who is familiar with our property, standards and has an established relationship with our staff.Yes.
