Excellent service from staff. Enjoyed breakfast every morning and snacks from the pantry in the evening. Room and all common areas were very clean.

Pleasant stay with family

the staff and location for our 50th reunion were perfect at the Rizzo Center. We were last minute guests for a group of about 45 people for a reunion. We used about 12 rooms at the Rizzo and had dinner at the DuBose House. It was all just great. We will return next year.

50th Reunion for UNC brothers turns out great!!

The overall vibe was just so peaceful and the variety of spaces to get work done, eat, socialize - was incredible. The grounds and surrounding area are so safe and so beautiful / historic, I was completely blown away.

This facility is beautiful, convenient, and they do a great job of anticipating needs.  The staff are so friendly and helpful - in the hotel and all the event areas around the campus.  The campus is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of space.  There were at least three events happening and it never felt crowded. I would go just for a weekend away.

Room cleanliness could have been better. Also had to call maintenance to unclog shower so I didn't have to stand in puttle of water.

Overall, the stay was most excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful which made the stay much more meaningful. The cleanliness of the hotel is spot on, the cleaning crew should receive an award for their hard work and determination. 

On a bad note, the breakfast was mediocre. The pancakes were always dry and the french toast was always over saturated. Being a former breakfast cook, you never put pancakes and french toast in steamers - it dries the pancakes and saturates the french toast. The eggs were okay, the bacon was either too crispy or not crispy enough. The coffee was okay, maybe consider going with another brand. 

Positive note about breakfast: the orange juice, yogurt and fruit was always fresh and delicious.

My Experience

Lovely hotel!  Breakfast was very good and the rooms were spacious and nice.  We enjoyed the garden, pool area, the balconies at the end of the hall, and the guest pantry's treats.

Beautiful hotel and grounds

Confusing hotel with bad rooms. I am thinking experience depends on what room do you get and the amenities, the room was far away from the reception, views from the rom were bad, dirty trash and ground not kept well were the view. we did not enjoy. We would not go back. For business travellers, it might be a good experience with free breakfast and hopefully better rooms. we were not impressed and felt we made a bad choice with Rizzo. Area nearby is very nice.

Very average and below

We had a wonderful stay at this venue. There were complimentary drinks, snacks, coffee and ice cream on each floor which delighted my children. The pool was spectacular. The breakfast was very high quality. I highly recommend.

Wonderful experience - I wish we could have stayed longer.

Rizzo Center provided impeccable sales, event, and catering services for a 2-day business retreat. I highly recommend this venue to business professionals looking for a quiet, well-organized and affordable location.
