Led by a session leader, musicians who gather each evening create spontaneous performances together. Musicians are welcome to join in—whether professional or amateur. Even if you've never listened to jazz before, feel free to enjoy with a drink in hand.

Not only is Tokyo Disneyland the first Disneyland to open outside of the United States, but Tokyo Disney Sea is the first Disney amusement park with a marine theme. The Tokyo Stock Exchange is the heart of Japan’s financial world and a key symbol of its economic strength. Inside the modern building, visitors can explore TSE Arrows, an interactive area where they can learn about the history and workings of the stock market. Observation areas offer views of the actual trading floor, while exhibits and videos provide insights into Japan’s financial system.

This historic shrine, beloved by locals since the Edo period, is quietly tucked away in the middle of the office district, offering a calm escape right in the heart of Tokyo. The upward-gazing guardian dogs, called komainu, are rare statues said to have been dedicated after the Great Kantō Earthquake with hopes for recovery and good fortune. In spring, the grounds are lined with cherry blossoms; in autumn, they glow with red and gold leaves. It’s a peaceful spot worth dropping by on your neighbourhood stroll.

Nihonbashi Hie Shrine

These two neighbourhoods, though geographically adjacent, offer very different sides of Tokyo. Omotesando’s tree-lined avenue bustles with luxury flagships and stylish cafés, giving the area a calm, sophisticated feel. Just around the corner, Harajuku explodes with colour—you’ll find unique street fashion, lively culture and Takeshita Street, which is packed with fun shops and sweet treats that keep people coming from all over the world. They’re only a short walk apart, letting you catch both tradition and innovation in one stroll through the city.

The famous Scramble Crossing in front of Shibuya Station sees thousands of people pass through daily and is a world-renowned landmark. On Chuo-dori Street, where Japanese tradition meets the latest trends, you’ll find a mix of long-established specialty shops and flagship stores of global brands. Step into the side streets and experience everything from world-class sushi and French dining to casual wine bars. And if you’re in the mood for a show, Ginza is also home to Kabuki-za and the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater—perfect spots to experience traditional arts and live entertainment.

Asakusa is Tokyo’s old-town district where tradition is alive and well. Start at the famous Kaminarimon Gate, then stroll down Nakamise Street to find rows of classic shops, local snacks and fun souvenirs. At Sensō-ji Temple, the crowds never stop—it’s one of the best places to soak up Japan’s history and culture. Renting a kimono to wander around is a favorite activity, too. And to wrap it up, head to the riverside and enjoy the view of Tokyo Skytree.
