Nestled between Joann’s and the original 1930s motor court, the Courtyard is a hidden Austin gem in the heart of South Congress. This versatile outdoor event space has hosted everything from intimate dinners to live music and cocktail hours, with room for 60 seated or 75 standing guests—making it one of the most memorable venues in Texas.

Catering

The Pool Bar is fully stocked with cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine to keep your guests refreshed. While outside beverages aren’t allowed, you’re welcome to bring in food. Our team can also recommend trusted local catering partners to complement your event.

Rain Plan

Austin Motel features solely outdoor spaces. If your event must proceed rain or shine, you are required to have a rain plan for your event.

The Hotel is not liable for any event cancellations due to weather.

In cases where the event date is flexible, in the case of poor weather the client may be offered an alternative “rain date” which must be decided no later than 48 hours prior to their original event date.

The iconic Austin Motel marquee is a fixture of the South Congress experience. Lucky you, it’s also available to spread your message to the world—or one very special person.

  • 4 lines; each fits 12–16 characters including spaces
  • Blackout dates and minimums may apply
  • Note: We have limited numbers, punctuation and special characters
  • Customization available only for the south side of the sign
  • Rental available on its own or as an add-on to an on-site event or room block
  • Message approval from Bunkhouse required
