This has been my favorite property in Austin for many years. The story, the style and the architecture are exceptional. The staff can really up the game and put the cherry on top. Now in its current situation as a Hyatt property ultimately, I must say I am quite impressed by how well all the great aspects have been maintained. It is just what it once was and yes, The Continental Club is still rockin’ across the street.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We arrived early and was able to get into our room right away. This was so much appreciated after an early flight. It allowed us to freshen up and begin our quick trip to the area. The front desk staff was super friendly and polite and very accommodating! I wasn’t sure what to expect and was very pleased with our decision to stay there. It is close to shopping, coffee shops, tattoo shop, which was fun and a quick Uber ride to downtown. I would definitely stay here again!!

We have stayed there many times and loved it. This time it was very average . All cleaning equipment was left by our front door. No privacy. Bar staff felt like they were doing you a favor by making a drink

Location is incredible and the room was really cute and had everything we needed. The staff was hit or miss. One woman was really friendly, the other was pretty unfriendly. I got some confusing responses when I reached out over dissatisfaction about the pool. Either way it was a fine experience but unfortunately the whole reason I booked it was for the pool and we could never use it. Nor did I even see any other guests using it. I would instead recommend their sister hotel across the street.

I love this hotel but the 10 pm curfew is unreasonable. I was not allowed to sit and work on my laptop after 10 pm. I understand a quiet rule but not a shelter in place rule.

The hotel staff, known for their exceptional kindness and accommodating nature, made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a cozy and enjoyable experience in Austin.

Check in was very easy and we were showed to our room. The property is beautiful and has greenery everywhere. It almost feels tropical. The room is a little outdated, but it also goes along with the laidback feel of the property. I did have one complaint, and it was the mini fridge. It was super loud in the middle of the night. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. The pool and poolside seating area is beautiful too. The pool is also warmed. There is a seating area with misting fans that you are able to sit at and relax. We loved our stay here and how close it was to all the shopping and restaurants on South Congress. The whole area felt very safe.

Beautiful place, a whole experience between it's lovely design, the pool and all the little details. Great location as well! Hope to come back soon!!!

My wife and I were headed to our AirBnB when we were contacted by the host about issues with the property we reserved for our stay-cation. I did a search on Google and found the Hotel San Jose. Pricing provided by Google was a little high. Then, I searched on TripAdvisor and found pricing for less than half of what I found on Google! I immediately booked a reservation on TripAdvisor. The process was easy and we were able to check in within an hour of booking!

Lovely old motor court with Americana traveling history. Clean and spacious with a good bed. Gracious personnel were accommodating at every turn. Perfect locale for visiting Austin. We felt safe the entire time. Can brag about the house coffee on offer in the mornings. We will be returning next time we are in the area and recommend it wholeheartedly.
