Traveling with Pets

At Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort, Costa Rica, we’re proud to be a pet-friendly hotel and welcome you and your furry friends to relax and have fun with us. Leashed pets are welcome to explore the property with you, though they are not permitted inside our restaurants. For details about our pet program, please contact our Guest Services team at gscenter.papagayo@andaz.com.

Fees

A $282.50 one-time fee includes use of bedding, meal containers, water and a deep clean upon departure.

Family Travel

Family TravelKids ages 0-4 years old eat free from the kids’ menu available in our four restaurants and Eat InKids ages 5-11 years old eat from the special kids’ menus that our chefs have prepared at each of our restaurants and Eat In. A 50% discount applies for the breakfast buffet at Gaio.

Room Occupancy

The maximum occupancy per room is:

King-bed rooms: three adults or two adults and one child (under 11 years). Only one extra bed can be added to the room.

Double-bed rooms: four adults or two adults and two kids (both under 11 years). No extra beds can be added to the room.

A charge of $75.00 + tax and resort fee per adult will be added to the nightly rate for the third and/or fourth adult.

 

Resort Fee

Resort Fee: 12% per room, per night (taxable)

A Resort Fee will be assessed nightly.

Resort Fee covers the following—per day, per room:

  • Scheduled transportation throughout Peninsula Papagayo, per day
  • Non-motorized water sports equipment at our activities (snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding), per day
  • Pool and beach amenity program, per day
  • Boat transfers to/from Casa de Playa (subject to weather conditions), per day
  • Bottled water in room and throughout the resort (reusable glass bottles), per day
  • Wi-Fi in all areas of the resort
  • Select daily resort activities (additional costs may apply on certain activities), per day
  • Access to Papagayo Park, a multi-sport entertainment facility located 7 minutes from the resort. Amenities include a water park, adventure playground, racket sports center (tennis, pickleball and padel - court fees apply), pump track, bocce court, yoga pavilion, sports field, basketball court, 25-meter lap pool, dog park, casual dining facilities and additional amenities available, per day
  • Use of eBike share network with stations at the resort and throughout the Peninsula (website registration required), per day
  • Extensive trail network for walking, running and biking, per day
  • MoveStrong exercise stations throughout the community, per day
  • Beach stair network providing access to multiple beaches throughout the Peninsula, per day

Non-smoking property

The hotel is a non-smoking property. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes and vaping devices, is not permitted in any indoor areas of the hotel. Smoking is only allowed in designated beach areas.
