At Hyatt, we’re passionate about people and opening doors to opportunity. Guided by our purpose — we care for people so they can be their best — we’ve worked for decades both through partnerships with nonprofits and community-based organizations and through our own initiatives to develop talent and help individuals rise to their full potential.
In 2018, we expanded that commitment with RiseHY, a global program designed to reach untapped talent, including Opportunity Youth (individuals aged 16 to 24 from under-resourced communities, who are disconnected from the economy and not working or in school) and connect them to careers in hospitality. RiseHY supports access to training, skills development, and employment opportunities across Hyatt’s global portfolio. As a hospitality company, we are uniquely positioned to be part of the solution: ours is an industry where people can rise from entry-level roles to meaningful, lifelong careers.

After exceeding a goal of hiring 10,000 RiseHYers between 2018 and 2025, we are renewing our RiseHY commitment with a new target: Hyatt and Hyatt hotels will hire 5,000 additional RiseHYers, including Opportunity Youth, by the end of 2028.
Through continued investment in this global program, we aim to open doors for untapped talent and create pathways for those disconnected from the workforce to build meaningful, long-term careers in an industry defined by opportunity and mobility.
