  • Brilliant location, exquisite stay!

    Excellent room with an exquisite view of the Yangtze river. Breakfast, like all Hyatt properties, is superb! Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

  • Lixury is real Luxury

    The Lixury is in the heart of the City and probably the property with best of the Views in the town because of its height and location. The Food and Amenities were an icing on the cake. The key attractions were at 5-10 mins walking distance including Hongya Cave, Times Square, Raffles and the station next door takes you to Liziba too, using line 2. Highly recommended property.

  • Great stay in Chongqing

    One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in China. Rooms were well appointed, very clean and I was given a room with a great view facing the junction of the river. The fitness centre was quite small but had good equipment, clean and well maintained. Service was impeccable and the staff was always friendly and polite. Can't really go wrong with a Hyatt.

  • Not the best choice for you to live near Jiefangbei

    It takes about 5min for you to get from level 1 to your room--you need to take the elevator from lvl 1 to lvl 69 (only one elevator was working), then to your room level (another elevator). Very heavy perfume all over around. Seems like to cover something. Staffs were very new, not as good as other two Hyatt totels in Chongqing.

  • More than expected

    The condition of this hotel is very nice and the room is clean. Most impressive is the helpfulness of staff, one of the best. The location is also very good, beautiful view as well.

  • Low expectations yet still disappointed

    I read numerous reviews on Ctrip and dianping.com and almost every guest booked through such third party platforms received phone calls from concierge services asking for arrival time or any special requests. However, I booked our rooms at least 5 days in advance but up until the moment I checked in, I never received any phone calls nor a single email. The funniest part is that when I mentioned this missing welcome phone call or email upon checkin, the staff made an excuse that they only offered phone calls to first-time guests and not for longtime loyalty customers since patterns are already known. What’s even worse is that after reminding them of such issue, we were still not asked if we are celebrating any special occasions or have any additional requests. Shortly after we checked in, I received 2 machine-generated plain emails saying that they have received my reservations of 2 rooms, which should be sent a long time ago before checkin. Secondly, when we arrived outside of the 1st floor hotel lobby around 1:30 pm, there were not a single staff to help us with our luggage. It was after we carried our suitcases up the stairs and went inside, we found at least 5 doormen hanging out, chatting at the storage area and we had to approach them first, asking for help with our suitcases. Thirdly, it is understandable that in-room amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste are provided only upon request due to environmental concerns. However, we were never told during the checkin nor asked if we needed any such amenities. It was when we went back to our rooms later that night to find out there were no basic amenities provided. We then called the front desk asking for toothbrushes, toothpaste and a vanity kit (cotton tips), but it took at least 30 minutes to get delivered and a sewing kit was mistakenly given instead of a vanity kit. Additionally, it took 40 minutes and 2 phone calls to get an ice bucket delivered to our room the next morning at 11am.

  • Great view but mediocre service

    The location and the view from our room was amazing, as the hotel is located right at the centre of the Chongqing peninsula, great access to the metro and tons of local restaurants. However, the service we received and our room itself was just very very average: we tried to order some aperitifs at the lounge before dinner, the staff told us they can't make any cocktails but they were clearly on the menu; the bluetooth didn't work in our room after multiple attempts and we found no instruction in the intro brochure; the room wasn't properly cleaned either as there were remaining water stains on our desk; the checkout process was also a mayhem, people just cramming into three lanes around noon with no separation on checkin and checkout guests. I assume most of the domestic guests don't really care about the lounge and rarely use the in-room bluetooth stereo, but if The Lixury truly aims to become a 5-star hotel, they can't just only focus on the outlook, but really need to work on the core.

  • 五星酒店基本該有的的服務態度是非常好的

    行李服務人員非常好 Check in服務很好,但剛開始有被插隊沒有注意 基本上五星酒店該有的服務態度都是非常好的 房間上的清潔需要注意有些小地方沒有整理好,房間煙味很大,基本上是禁菸的,但由於每個地方的習慣不同需要稍微加強管理,其他地點方便程度都是非常好,地鐵站近,去哪都方便,高樓享受夜景不用人擠人!
