The hotel is very nice overall, super clean and in a perfect location. The staff were all excellent especially the bar staff and the dining room staff at breakfast.

The bad. Despite being a Globalist, I got the smallest, most out of the way room with the worst view. Breakfast buffet was overall not high quality (eggs were inedible) and I do not like that I can't order additional hot breakfast items as a Globalist. I REALLY do not like that they add an "optional" service charge and then force me to tell an employee to remove it if I don't want to include it. That makes people very uncomfortable, is designed to intimidate, and represents the worst kind of customer service.

Good Hotel with Easily Correctible Flaws

Location:  The location of the hotel is excellent.  It's within walking distance of everything!  Yet, it's a little bit away from the unreal crowds near the Duomo and Piazza della Republic. There is great shopping on the street and superb little shops down the side streets. We've stayed in other locations in the city on other trips; this location, by far, is the best.
Atmosphere: The "feel" of the hotel is excellent because the staff is outstanding. They seem to truly love working at the hotel. Every staff member is friendly, smiling, helpful. It's a small hotel with a really big heart.
Rooms: We had a suite. The suite was well appointed. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom and dressing/closet were adequate.  The television channel options in English were limited, providing news of the world mostly. The room was cleaned during the day, with turn-down refreshing in the evening.  The 5th floor was very quiet.
Service: A real highpoint of the hotel is the staff. They are simply the best that we've experienced in our many travels.  Just really excellent!

IL Tornabuoni Hotel – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is a beautifully elegant stay right in the heart of Florence. The staff truly stand out for their warmth and attentiveness, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Front desk staff is good and the lady made sure the check-in was smooth. Provided me with Florence local map with all the attractions. The hotel bar is a highlight, with a relaxed atmosphere and exceptionally friendly service. Special thanks to Paolo, Adina and two others I forgot the name:( who went above and beyond to make our evenings at the bar memorable. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful blend of luxury, comfort, and genuine Florentine charm.

Il Tornabuoni was an amazing hotel with amazing staff creating an amazing experience. It’s a great location. I love the design. Everyone and every aspect was fantastic.

Great hotel!

Great location, right in the heart of the city. The rooms and amenities of the hotel are excellent as are the staff. I'd recommend taking a drink in the bar as the team there are brilliant; fun, knowledgeable and very attentive. From start to finish our stay was memorable for all the right reasons. The perfect way to celebrate a special birthday!

Florence; a stay to remember!

Il Tornabuoni has been on my list of Hyatt's to visit for years.  I was so pleased to finally make it to Florence and stay in this gorgeous hotel.  It is located on a main shopping street, walking distance to all the major sights.  Customer service is excellent, the decor is beautiful and breakfast was delicious.  As a Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite and it was a beautiful blue butterfly room.  I wanted to stay forever!  Highly recommended!

Excellent service, with a nice location — highly recommended. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout the stay, making everything feel effortless. The room was spotless, comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Perfect spot for exploring the area, and overall a wonderful experience. Would definitely return.

Excellent service, with a nice location

Had an amazing stay at the hotel with my family (including a toddler). This stay would be on of our top stays at a hotel ever (I've been Hyatt member since 2012) and made our vacation way better and much more memorable. Staff all over were thoughtful, kind, amazing, competent, and always going above and beyond. The hotel's location is central to all key areas and markets, we only needed a car when going to outlet (45min drive), otherwise it was all walking distance around the hotel.
