Expect the unexpected!  The Chatwal is the city's best secret for a small boutique hotel with all the trimmings. From check in to check out the staff could not have been more attentive and delightful.  From a room upgrade, a celebratory bottle of Prosecco, to housekeeping bringing a towel and make up remover pads. The entire staff is on point!  Breakfast was included in our stay and it did not disappoint.  We are done searching for a hotel when we are in the city.

Expect the unexpected!

We came for family vacation. After one night in a 2 double bed room we were upgraded to a Library Suite due to being a Hyatt Guest of Honor. That room was amazing. The hotel staff is awesome. Super nice and helpful. They all knew our name after one night and were there for anything that we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, gym, spa, breakfast. Entire premises is extremely clean and well kept. Overall 10 out of 10.

Great Family Stay!!

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of the theater district! Lovely staff. Very nice welcome. Cozy and delicious restaurant.

Perfect stay in a prime location!

Hotel far exceeded expectations. Located near so much that you can walk to, Fox studio, shopping on 5th, ice skating. Great location. Room was perfect. View wasn’t so much. Hotel staff very nice. Would definitely go back.

Mother daughter get away

I stayed 6 nights at the Chatwal on a business trip and this was the best NYC hotel I've ever stayed at! From the incredible staff that was attentive, professional and kind, to the incredible upgraded room I was given (the Chatwal suite) everything was perfect. There are also 2 bars onsite and a very good restaurant. For those people weary of the Times Square location - don't be - the hotel is strategically removed from the chaos but close enough if you still want to go sightseeing. Also, rooms are incredibly quiet. What a gem!

Best Stay of my Life in NYC

I don't know who is handing out 5-star ratings, but this is not a 5-star hotel, so lower your expectations.  However, if you are looking specifically for the convenience of being right across the street from the Hudson Theater, then this is your place.

I can not say enough good about this hotel. The most all-encompassing statement I can make is that from this stay forward I will judge hotel service and staff politeness by the Chatwall being the pinnacle. Michael, the Bellman/Valet who unloaded/loaded our luggage to the car service at arrival and departure was amazingly professional and personable. Bellman Steven was so helpful to make our bags accessible as we arrived early and he had to hold them for us. The car service used by the hotel was impeccable and worth the cost. The concierge made this process seamless. Restaurant staff were beyond attentive.

My wife and I had a Terrace Suite for New Year's celebrations.

Exceptional hospitality and luxury in the midst of busy times square.  I did not think Chatwal could exceed my expectations as I was upgraded to a suite on my last stay (my sister's bday) but I was upgraded again!  It was my 60th bday so particularly special.  I was seeing a show with my cousins from the Philippines so they got to come by preshow to also enjoy the birthday treats.  I saw another show with my sister the next day and we just hung out in the beautiful hotel suite.  Thank you for the incredible and memorable experience.

Exceptional Hospitality

Great location during the Christmas holiday. Next to all the action. Room service and breakfast were excellent. Love the Christmas touches/decor. Stayed with our 8 month old. Took bus to the Met on morning with stroller, easy.  Stayed for 2 nights, wish we stayed longer.

Two night stay right after the Christmas holiday

The Chatwal is an outstanding hotel that is conveniently located on 44th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.  The rooms are large, well-appointed, and very clean. We found the room rate to be fairly reasonable (by New York standards). The entire staff is courteous, professional, and very helpful. We ate at the lobby bar one evening and were taken care of by Run, who was delightful and very attentive.  We also had breakfast at the Lamb's Club. Everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. Can't say enough good things about the Chatwal.
