If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday and they give you a first floor room, you should run far away from this hotel. The noise from the hotel bar was regularly hitting 60 decibels in my first floor room while I was trying to sleep, and the bass was vibrating the floor and bed. Several other people complained about the noise during my stay, and they did not lower the sound at all, even as the time approached 1 a.m.!

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that the noise from the bar affected your stay. Our central location has many advantages, but unfortunately also some drawbacks, particularly during weekends. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we are pleased that we were able to arrange a refund for your stay, as we certainly do not wish to charge guests for an experience they were so unhappy with. Regards, Johan Christof Hotel Manager
The only good thing about this hotel is the location ONLY. Rooms are too small with no proper wardrobes to put clothes, towels were really smelling bad

Hi Ahmadi, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased that you appreciated our central location, but sorry that your room did not meet your expectations. Our most affordable room categories are indeed quite small, which is clearly stated in the room descriptions when booking. For guests who prefer more space, we always recommend choosing one of our larger room categories rather than the smallest and most economical option. Thank you again for your feedback. Warm regards, Johan Christof Hotel Manager
On our first trip to Stockholm, Sweden we looked for any HYATT property...always our first choice in hotels. What was available was the STORY JVD by Hyatt and we reserved a room, but was amazed at the suite. It was a 5-room suite that included a full bath including a tub and shower, a second 1/2 bath, a fireplace, two TV's, a fan, a living room, a king bed in the bedroom that had 2 balconies and a coffee tea area an wet bar. We enjoyed their full breakfast, bar and restaurant on the one evening we had there. The staff was totally accommodating and anticipated our every need including preparing a sack-breakfast for our 4:30 AM departure the next day.

Hi Dlnun! Wow, what a wonderful review! Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! It truly makes us happy to hear that your first visit to Stockholm was such a memorable experience and that you loved your suite, our breakfast, and the atmosphere of the hotel. Most of all, we're delighted that our team made you feel so well taken care of, right down to preparing breakfast for your early departure. It's these little touches that we love being able to offer our guests! Thank you again for choosing Story Hotel and for your loyalty to Hyatt. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we would absolutely love to welcome you back whenever your travels bring you to Stockholm again! Best regards, Johan Christof Hotel Manager
They rebooked us into a single room, myself and my pregnant wife. Had to walk through Stockholm to find a new hotel with 2 large suitcases as more or less every single hotel was sold out.

Hi William, Thank you for your feedback. I would, however, like to clarify a few important points regarding your review. The room offered to you was not a single room, but a double room. We fully acknowledge that this particular room category is small, but when you asked to extend your stay, our team clearly explained this to you as it was the only room category we had available at the time. I would also like to clarify that you were never charged anything for this room. While we are sorry that the room offered did not meet your needs and that you chose to find alternative accommodation, I do feel the review gives a somewhat unfair impression of what actually occurred. We always welcome feedback, but also believe it is important that the circumstances are represented accurately. Kind regards, Johan Christof Hotel Manager
No AC on the hotel. Summer in Stockholm can be warm so please avoid this hotel during the warmer months. Staff is great and breakfast is good.

Hi Reiner, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast and found our staff to be great. We understand that the rooms can feel warm during particularly hot summer days. Air conditioning is still pretty uncommon in Sweden for obvious reasons, but might be something we should start reconsider. We are sorry that the temperature affected your overall experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your comments. Warm regards, Johan Christof Hotel Manager
I have used Story hotel a lot but this time it did not meet my expectations. Our room was in 2nd floor and the street is noisy. So it is good to try to get room higher floors. Also cleaning services did not work that well for this time.

Hi Tenko! Thank you for your feedback and, most importantly, for choosing to stay with us again. As a returning guest, we are especially sorry to hear that this stay did not live up to the experiences you have had with us in the past. We truly value your loyalty, and your comments regarding both the room location and the cleaning service are taken seriously. We hope this was an exception and that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with the experience you have come to expect from Story Hotel. Warm regards, Johan Christof Hotel Manager
Location was excellent with his subway station at entrance right around the corner. Food market within five minute walk. Room cleanliness: could be improved as I saw dust in various areas in the rooms and the carpet was not vacuumed well. Hotel is located in a very busy area so you will likely have either street noise or noise from the restaurant that’s attached to the hotel. However, my room had good insulation in the windows so as long as they were closed The noise was lessened. I also used the fan because there is no true air-conditioning and I went during summer. Staff was friendly and helpful, and as a World of Hyatt member, I was given a room upgrade and late checkout. I think the length of my stay (5 nights) contributed to this. Front desk works hard given only one of them there at the desk per shift.

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. What stood out the most was Sandra at the front desk. She is one of the nicest hotel professionals we have ever met. From the moment we arrived, she made our family feel genuinely welcome. She was always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help with anything we needed, whether it was arranging a fan, providing extra towels, or answering our questions about the hotel and the area. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, but Sandra's exceptional hospitality truly elevated our experience. She consistently went above and beyond and made us feel valued as guests. Thank you, Sandra, for helping make our stay so enjoyable!
