If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday and they give you a first floor room, you should run far away from this hotel. The noise from the hotel bar was regularly hitting 60 decibels in my first floor room while I was trying to sleep, and the bass was vibrating the floor and bed. Several other people complained about the noise during my stay, and they did not lower the sound at all, even as the time approached 1 a.m.!

Our central location has many advantages, but unfortunately also some drawbacks, particularly during weekends. The only good thing about this hotel is the location ONLY. Rooms are too small with no proper wardrobes to put clothes, towels were really smelling bad

On our first trip to Stockholm, Sweden we looked for any HYATT property...always our first choice in hotels. What was available was the STORY JVD by Hyatt and we reserved a room, but was amazed at the suite. It was a 5-room suite that included a full bath including a tub and shower, a second 1/2 bath, a fireplace, two TV's, a fan, a living room, a king bed in the bedroom that had 2 balconies and a coffee tea area an wet bar. We enjoyed their full breakfast, bar and restaurant on the one evening we had there. The staff was totally accommodating and anticipated our every need including preparing a sack-breakfast for our 4:30 AM departure the next day.

They rebooked us into a single room, myself and my pregnant wife. Had to walk through Stockholm to find a new hotel with 2 large suitcases as more or less every single hotel was sold out.

Hi William, Thank you for your feedback. I would, however, like to clarify a few important points regarding your review. The room offered to you was not a single room, but a double room. We fully acknowledge that this particular room category is small, but when you asked to extend your stay, our team clearly explained this to you as it was the only room category we had available at the time. I would also like to clarify that you were never charged anything for this room. While we are sorry that the room offered did not meet your needs and that you chose to find alternative accommodation, I do feel the review gives a somewhat unfair impression of what actually occurred. No AC on the hotel. Summer in Stockholm can be warm so please avoid this hotel during the warmer months. Staff is great and breakfast is good.

I have used Story hotel a lot but this time it did not meet my expectations. Our room was in 2nd floor and the street is noisy. So it is good to try to get room higher floors. Also cleaning services did not work that well for this time.

Location was excellent with his subway station at entrance right around the corner. Food market within five minute walk. Room cleanliness: could be improved as I saw dust in various areas in the rooms and the carpet was not vacuumed well. Hotel is located in a very busy area so you will likely have either street noise or noise from the restaurant that’s attached to the hotel. However, my room had good insulation in the windows so as long as they were closed The noise was lessened. I also used the fan because there is no true air-conditioning and I went during summer. Staff was friendly and helpful, and as a World of Hyatt member, I was given a room upgrade and late checkout. I think the length of my stay (5 nights) contributed to this. Front desk works hard given only one of them there at the desk per shift.

Our family was looking forward to this trip and Story Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms were better than in the pictures, the staff was both attentive and helpful, location was perfect for us, and breakfast each morning was a great way to start our day. We look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. What stood out the most was Sandra at the front desk. She is one of the nicest hotel professionals we have ever met. From the moment we arrived, she made our family feel genuinely welcome. She was always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help with anything we needed, whether it was arranging a fan, providing extra towels, or answering our questions about the hotel and the area. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, but Sandra's exceptional hospitality truly elevated our experience.
