As always Secrets never disappoints. This was our 7 visit and we will continue to return. Preferred Club is the best option for those that may have not been. Service is exceptional and the rooms are amazing. Great weather too always helps

Food was very good plenty of variation it was nice there were so many different restaurant options to choose from without having to book. Reception excellent service nothing was too much trouble. I suggeted via the app that wine would be good insted of beer, withiin half an hour i'd had a phone call and 2 small bottles were delivered to my room, replnished daily. Waiter service around the pool was excellent often missing from all inclusive hotels. My only request would be to have a mirror over the dressing table or a plug point by the large mirror. But unfortuneately that is something most hotels seem to be missing.

The food is amazing. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is looking a little tired in places. The sports bar is great inside but the chairs are desperate to be replaced

PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING FOR A FAMILY/GROUP HOLIDAY! The hotel is completely unequipped for any guests other than couples. We are an adult family of 6 who all booked under 1 booking, so there was ample opportunity to prepare for our stay. We were made to feel unwelcome and a burden at every turn! All common areas are set out for couples, other than 2 outdoor sofas which are the only seating in the hotel smoking area. Non of us smoke and so we didn't want to sit here - but as the only smoking area, the seats were always in use anyway. We asked to sit together at dinner and were constantly refused as there are no tables of 6 and it is 'against hotel policy' to move tables! Our family live in England, Scotland and Italy and so to spend 5 days of quality time together was the whole purpose of the trip! To not be allowed to sit together at dinner, for drinks before dinner or afterward was ridiculous! We even asked after dinner service if we could please sit together to play cards. We were told no, because the bar was closing... at 11pm! I understand it is all-inclusive and so cost cutting must mean they don't want to serve drinks all night, but to kick us out of the bar area was ridiculous! By 11:30pm, the lights were even switched off on us in the main building area! So we all just went to bed! It was as if we had a curfew! We aren't massive drinkers and the bar being closed wasn't even a big issue, we just wanted to sit and chat and play cards, but with the lights off, we were forced to bed! No element of staff interaction felt 'luxury' whatsoever! I have no idea how they consider having a room card, rather than wristband a luxury alternative, however you have to tap your card at every opportunity. Data is everything now a days and I imagine Head Office love being able to see what is ordered by who etc. but tapping your card when you order every drink (everyone in the group must tap for a round of drinks!) just felt like we were paying via contactless. It is supposed to be relaxing; instead you are made to rummage in your bag to find your room key before you can order a drink! I was told at the pool bar to go and find my room key before I could order a bottle of water! No luxury in the service at any stage! The hotel is pretty, the people at the scuba dive centre are amazing and I'll write a review specifically for them so that they don't get caught in this mess! But the service is hostile and the food is average. I stayed in another Hyatt All inclusive (Dreams Resort) in Cancun and the staff were lovely and the food great. I specifically booked this resort with my family because of the great experience in Cancun, but after this holiday, I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone!!

Dear P6076BRoliverp, We are genuinely sorry to read your comments, particularly as we are surprised by the overall impression you have taken away from your stay. Regarding the coffee facilities, we are sorry if you experienced any issues with the coffee machines at breakfast. However, we would like to clarify a few points to avoid any misunderstandings. Coco Café opens at 10:30 am, precisely when the breakfast restaurants close. Guests are therefore welcome to enjoy a coffee at their breakfast restaurant before heading directly to Coco Café once it opens. With regard to the Habana bar, this is an open bar area rather than a restaurant, and there is no dress code required to order a drink. Guests can therefore access the bar in their pool attire without needing to get changed. As for your experience as a group of six, we are sorry you felt unwelcome. Our hotel welcomes both couples and groups, and we certainly do not intend for any guest to feel that they are less welcome because of the size of their party. We always aim to accommodate seating requests wherever possible, although this may depend on restaurant availability and operational circumstances. Thank you for sharing your feedback. Had a fantastic week at Secrets. The hotel is perfect for a couples week away. The staff were very attentive, facilities were clean and well maintained and the food choices were amazing!

Great place to flop and get pampered away from the main Lanzarote crowd. The room offered great views of the sea. Food was great and staff really did thier best to accommodate. Well worth the trip, we would go back.

We stayed here October and was in the Preferred Club, Room was amazing spacious great view and large comfy beds, the preferred club pool and sunbeds were lovely always beds available, pool bar was great with waiter service to your sunbeds, location of hotel is good a 10-15 min walk into the Marina with shops / bars / restaurant's we got a water bus to Puerto Del Carmen. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a lovely laid back atmosphere we would return

Lovely hotel for a short escape or even a longer holiday. Great location for a wander to local village of Puerto Calero, very safe indeed. I enjoyed a sunrise run to Playa Quemada also. Easy taxi to PDC.

A wonderful hotel. If you want to completely relax, where nothing is too much trouble, this is the place for you. We stayed as a preferred club member, all inclusive which made the holiday extra special. Highly recommended.
