The Gehry buildings in Düsseldorf are an architectural masterpieces by star architect Frank Gehry.  The buildings, which extend along the banks of the Rhine, are a must for anyone who loves architecture.  To experience this unique architecture, interested parties can take a walk along the buildings and admire their extraordinary design.  The buildings are made of a range of materials such as stainless steel, stone and glass, and have a distinctive organic shape.

In the 70s, the semi-spherical building, which is well-known in the city, became a concert hall, where the audience has since met to explore the endless expanses of culture. Tonhalle Düsseldorf is not only one of the most beautiful concert halls in Germany, it also has the best acoustics, according to well-known music critics.

Roncalli's Apollo is a variety theatre on the Rhine Promenade, close to the state parliament building.  Since its opening in 1997, Bernhard Paul’s event theatre has hosted music, theatre and variety events.

The Düsseldorfer Kom(m)ödchen was founded in 1947 by Kay and Lore Lorentz in the back room of a local pub. Since then, it has grown into one of Germany's most renowned small art stages.

Artist Sarah Morris’ large-format ‘“Hornet’” mural on Paul-Klee-Platz, made of coloured glazed tiles, is reminiscent of the movement of an insect.  Based on the Asian origami technique, an overall image of surfaces and geometric figures is created, which makes a perfect photo background.  Top Tip: The colours are particularly bright in the evening.
