Gill and the staff were so amazing and made our stay wonderful . It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they made it so special from decorating the room to recommending deserts I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend .
The Laurel Inn was fine overall, and I appreciated that the staff accommodated our requests. Parking was also very convenient, with both first-floor parking and a garage. That said, the property is quite small and feels more like a basic inn/motel than what I would expect for the cash price or a Hyatt Category 6 hotel. The AC in our room was old and quite loud, and the TV disconnected roughly every 30 minutes, which became frustrating. There is also no breakfast on site; instead, we received vouchers for a nearby bagel shop, but only for the adults. The location near the Presidio is probably a big part of the pricing and is convenient if the Presidio is the focus of your visit. Otherwise, I would probably stay elsewhere for better overall value.
I enjoyed my brief stay at the Laurel Inn greatly. I felt that it was a very good value. The location was beautiful, the room's (and hotel's) decor distinctive and with personality, and the staff personable and down to earth and relaxed. It wasn't a five star hotel in terms of luxury, newness, etc., but really good and I would go there again in a second.
“Checked into a Hyatt room with blood stains on the upholstery, mysterious brown stains on the bedding, used tissues in the ice machine, and an overall run-down, dirty feel. I spent 4 hours of my vacation getting bounced between the hotel and Hyatt Guest Services trying to get relocated. Their solution? Cancel my stay and offer me an Uber… with nowhere to actually go. After all that, I ended up in a smaller room at the same hotel, paying the same rate, and basically wasted my Guest of Honor reward. Absolutely insane way to handle a serious cleanliness complaint.
Poor value. Got catfished by the photos. Old dump hotel. Photos make it look very pleasing but condition of this place was being sub par
This hotel is in a beautiful area. The general manager could not have been any nicer. She made us feel at home during a very stressful extended stay. The lobby is welcoming and calm. The coffee, tea and daily cookies are amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to south San Francisco.
This is not a ‘hotel’. It is a building with rooms. No dining, no gym, no amenities - just rooms. While the location is good, and the rooms pleasant, that’s about it.
This is a small quaint welcoming hotel. I enjoyed everything. The staff was thoughtful. The location is excellent. The room was large.
I love the location. Just a short walk to the wonderful Fillmore Street with its cafés, restaurants, and shops. Cool vibe! Easy walk to Union Street, Presidio, and Marina Green.
Patient and helpful staff. Inpressed with their customer service and kind treatment of me and of one another. Consistent, cohesive communication across team members. (Fragrance - chemical - too strong for me in room).
