The market takes place every first Sunday of the month from April to November. Fish lovers will find everything their hearts desire here, from kibbeling and herring to oysters and other seafood. The Kunstpalast has made it its mission to present and convey art to a broad, international audience. Built in the style of brick expressionism, the building ensemble comprises over 100,000 objects. In addition to paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages to the present, special collections of handicrafts and designs, graphics, photography and an important glass collection are also on display.

The Tonhalle has a magical attraction. In the ‘70s, the semispherical building, well-known in the city, became a concert hall, where the audience has since met to explore the endless expanses of culture. The Rhine Harbour Art and Media Centre by Frank O. Gehry is divided into three contrasting building sections and looks like a giant sculpture. Featuring different materials, each building complex is given its own identity. The buildings are considered a new Düsseldorf landmark. It’s definitely worth seeing!

After travelling at four metres per second up to the viewing level at an altitude of 168 metres, where the ‘M168’ bar and lounge is located, even the bravest will go weak in the knees standing in front of the large panorama windows. But in the end, (almost) everyone dares to let their gaze wander over the state capital, and with a clear view, even to the neighbouring Cologne—the panorama is too spectacular.
