Good, but will probably get even better.
This hotel is very new. First impression was seeing all dead trees across the front of the hotel. Room was clean and new and everything worked. The three people that we interacted with at the front desk were excellent. cheery and always ready to help. Any hotel would be glad to have them on staff. We had reserved a king studio, but when we checked in, Malissa told us that all king rooms were occupied and that we would have to get a room with two queens. I was not aware until we saw the notice on the bathroom mirror that room service was only scheduled once a week. We had to dry ourselves after showering with damp towels after the first day. (Housekeeping probably would have brought dry towels had we asked) Overall, the rate was fair and, after a few things get settled, this will be a fine hotel for long term stay.

Not As Expected
Upon check-in, I did not appreciate being given a handicapped room, especially since I made the reservation almost one month before check-in and do not require accommodations. We were extremely disappointed with the size of the bed, expecting a very large king-sized bed. The bed seemed more like a queen-plus. Also, the bed sat very low to the ground. I'm not sure if this was because we were given a handicapped-accessible room or if all of the beds in the hotel are like that. The bed pillows were absolutely atrocious. They were the most uncomfortable pillows I have ever slept on, with zero structure and support. I got no sleep the first night and had to be at Mayo the next day for appointments and a procedure. The second night, I swapped out one of the throw pillows on the sofa and put it inside a pillowcase. At least I got some rest. The bathroom was not stocked as expected. There were three bath towels, three hand towels, and one washcloth. My husband had to go downstairs to get more washcloths. We were also disappointed in the location. Although you could walk to the shops and restaurants at St. John's Town Center, this hotel is not in the heart of things! We were going to bring our small dog but decided to get a pet sitter instead, so we arrived without her. The only positive feature of the hotel is that it is pet-friendly and the room had laminate flooring. As for the front desk staff, we encountered Mr. J. upon arrival and a woman upon check-out. Mr. J. was full of jokes and "I played along," but I would have preferred a more business-like, professional demeanor. Upon check-out, the lady was pleasant and quiet. One more thing: I walked the stairwell to the fourth floor each day. I liked how wide and brightly lit the stairwell was; however, there was a tissue sitting on one of the steps during our visit, which makes me believe that the cleaning crew didn't pay attention to detail. All in all, this was not the experience I had hoped for, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends.

Great Southeast Jacksonville hotel!
Great location and very clean and comfortable room! Friendly, helpful staff and a great convenience store in lobby plus a tasty breakfast!

Quick overnight trip
Good customer service, quick to bring linens to our room. Clean room, we got a studio so we had extra space and didn’t feel so cramped. Close to Town Center.

Great experience
Great location with easy access to interstate. Lots of food options nearby. Hotel was new and clean with very nice front desk staff.

Welcoming staff
If you are not aware. This is a good option that still has the Hyatt experience. No restaurant, pool, or bar. Large fridge and top notch microwave that can air fry.

Great stay
My husband and I stayed two nights. All of the staff was very friendly ready to assist with anything we needed. We would definitely stay there in the future.

My new Jacksonville go-to; clean, friendly, and convenient
Amazing experience at this hotel. Every staff member I spoke to was so friendly, courteous, and hospitable. The entire hotel was spotless, from my room to the public areas. I think it helps that this hotel is pretty new, but I can tell the staff work hard to keep it in good condition. I appreciated having a range, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker in my room. The large TV was nice to have. I love that you can watch Netflix if you sign in, or cast your own content. Location-wise, this hotel is in great proximity to dining and shopping. It’s only a short drive away from St. John’s Town Center which has everything you could possibly need. It’s also walking distance from The Block Jax, which is a fun venue made out of shipping containers that features a stage, multiple restaurants and bars, and frequent events. I brought my dog with me and discovered a nice long paved sidewalk adjacent to this hotel, perfect for dog walks. I’m a Hyatt loyalist and used to frequent the Hyatt Place across from St. John’s Town Center. The past couple of times I stayed there I found the front desk staff to be very rude. My experience at this Hyatt Studios was the complete opposite and this hotel will be my new go-to. This hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool, hot breakfast, or large rooms like the Hyatt Place, but its prices and point rates are much more reasonable. Daily housing is not included as this is an extended stay hotel, but I saw the housekeeper in the hall and she asked if I needed service or any essentials. Hyatt Studios Jacksonville / St. Johns Town Center is a hidden gem and a great value. I’m looking forward to my next stay.

UNF Move In Weekend
Great location. Lots of food and fun options. Very clean hotel. The service and staff are top-notch. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We were able to do all the laundry we needed on site as we moved our child into her dorm at UNF. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and we will be coming back many more times in the foreseeable future.

Awesome guest experience.
Awesome. Mr. Jimmie at the front desk was a great host throughtout my stay. Very knowledgeable, responsive and professional. The location was central to shopping, eating and social venues.

Enjoyed our stay
Dog friendly, great location, great staff, clean, new. Near locations and shopping areas i wanted to visit. Easy to get to. Rooms were of good size and kitchenette came in useful.

Exceptional hotel Delivering on Efficiency and Cleanliness
The staff for me was just right; attentive and mindfully present. The hotel is very clean and crisp, has simple room layouts that permit self-catering (fridge, stove, and dishwasher), a small living room, and grab-and-go breakfast only.

First Visit
First stay there & was a staycation (bonus points promo). Hotel only open for 3 months. No pool & only grab & go breakfast (since there's a full kitchen in the rooms). No carpet in rooms (only hallways). Workout room was decent but having the speaker come on as soon as you walk in was a bit annoying. I would've preferred to listen to the news instead & had to turn up the volumn on the TV in order to drown out the speaker. Tucked away from the heart of the St. John's Town Center which is a bit nice to be away from the congestion there.

Welcoming Staff
The Hyatt Studios has an extremely friendly staff and they maintain a very clean hotel. It’s a Grab and Go Breakfast which is very basic but well stocked. The room was spacious and the location is convenient.

Great Stay

Not to return
The location was very convenient for my purposes. The hotel overall is very spartan but clean. The bed was super soft not even qualifying as a medium firm mattress. There is no breakfast offered, rather they have coffee and snack bars full of sugar. I had the feeling the hotel was mostly empty from the number of cars parked in the lot. I spent two nights there, the first and the last.

Very nice location
This location was very nice I'll give it a 10 out of 10 I don't have anything but good reviews to give you. My room is very clean The hall is ways or clean the elevator was clean the laundry room look real nice the outside was real nice I don't have anything but good good things to say about this location.

Okay stay. Nothing special.
Clean room, surrounding area is nice. Appears to be a fairly new building. Kleenex box had one tissue in it. There was leftover silverware and dishes in the dishwasher from the last guest. The shower faucet was not fully attached and fell off! Had to put back on. The iron leaked water. Breakfast was literally a piece of fruit and a muffin. At check in was asked to swipe my card but he never said what it was for. Had to ask "Is this for incidentals?" He just kept saying, "Just swipe it, just swipe it..."

Worst Hyatt experience so far
Given a room I didn't book twice. I gave up after moving to the second room as we we needed to get some rest after a long drive. The breakfast was far worse than what I'd expect from a Hyatt property. My Hyatt status and benefits were not recognized and I was charged extra without explanation. The ice machine indicated that it was in need of cleaning/service. The kitchen sink water did not get hot. This was the worst experience I've had at any Hyatt property, despite it being relatively new.

Best staff and environment avail
Best atmosphere, best staff that I have experienced since going back and forth to the Mayo clinic over the past year. Every single person on the staff treated us like they have known us for a long time, which is so appreciated. They even recognize us on the 2nd stay there. How cool is that!!? And the price is good too.
