Great hotel, very close to the beach. Great for kamaaina staycations. If you drive and self park, don’t get too large of a car, the parking garage is very tight.

Everyone we encountered was professional and friendly. We felt they went far over the extra mile to make sure we had a wonderful stay, especially Harriz! Thank you so much!

Even though we were on a weekend "stacation", we were treated as extra special guests. We will certainly be returning guests.

Stayed 4 nights with family and friends. Pros: - location is across the street from beach - self-checkout towel machine is brilliant! So convenient and efficient - beach chairs are first come first serve. Those are Tommy Bahamas beach chairs and relatively new and SUPER COMFY! We check out those chairs around 9-10am and still have availability - rooms are spacious. I do like the outlet/charging station on nightstand. Large TV is nice too. We got ocean view in Ewa Tower which is nice. Though I would have prefer Diamond Head Tower since it's a closer walk to beach and also closer to the Lounge which we visit twice a day. - Lounge breakfast is good. Snack hour is 5-7pm and serves 2 hot items and other cold dishes. If you can afford to get Club Lounge access, it's worth it. Our family of 4 eat there everyday and snacks in the afternoon. - love that filtered water stations are throughout the hotel. Gone are the days we have to buy gallon water from ABC store and lug back to room. Such a great environmental feature too. So bring your refillable bottles. Cons: - hotel is showing it's age. Lobby is nothing to write home about, quite old. Room carpet is very old. Our bathtub floor pops up. This hotel needs a renovation. - swimming pool is TINY TINY. Feels like a large jacuzzi. It's always crowded with just 10 kids in there. We couldn't even use the pool once during our stay due to it being crowded. For a hotel this size with 2000+ room, this TINY pool is not acceptable. If hotel were to go through a renovation, that should get fixed to build a bigger pool.

overall experience was ok - i will not be coming back here. Rooms are very date / bath tabs peeling / old dirty carpet / suspicious stains on pillows. no in room dining - how ???? valet guys are on "island time" - wont pick up phone receptions kind of rude and told me "they are too busy to answer" and i needed to go down to get my car - when i got there - 3 of them just chatting. for amount of money they charge for ocean view room - definitely not recommend staying here.

Everything was very nice, the pool was the only issue. It was very over crowded and it's very small. I would suggest they either make the pool bigger or make another one for Adults.

We were looking for a hotel for our family of four along Waikiki beach. We initially chose the Hyatt Regency Waikiki because of its positive reviews, location along Waikiki beach, and the fact that the rooms have queen beds, as opposed to many hotels along the beach that only had full size. In a bustling place like Waikiki, we were pleasantly surprised when we began receiving five-star service the minute we entered the property. From the valet telling us how to get to the check-in counter before we could ask, to the check-in area with friendly and kind staff, dining staff who were friendly and really good at keeping the birds away, and the prompt housekeeping services. We had been island hopping and had recently home from another large property on Big Island, and the difference in service between the two places was wild. The beach chairs to check out were a huge plus for us too! It was so nice being able to check out nice chairs to relax on the beach. I'm assuming this hotel is used to train other hotels' staff. We travel quite a bit, and have never seen that level of service in this tier of hotel. Thank you for the amazing experience! We will be back!

terrible checkin experience, parking per day was $60 and parking was very tight, I will not come here again. Room furniture was worn out and bathroom was small and dangerous.

Will be back to Hawaii, but will not stay at this location! Felt the racial bias! Didn’t received a Hawaiian welcome from the check-in staff! Felt as if I was a bother! The only persons were the valet bag checkers they were smiling and welcoming!

This was our 4th stay at this property. Great location, within walking distance of everything. Property is getting outdated but kept in good shape. Room size is on the larger size for Waikiki. Staff always extremely helpful. Only downside is hotel is very busy, valet and elevator wait times during peak check-in/out times can get crazy. Whenever we decide to stay in Waikiki we always stay here!
