Location was good and atmosphere feels like a 5 star hotel and they treat you really good. Hospitality is exceptional..

I want to start by praising the incredible front line staff at this property. From the front desk to the bell team, and the staff at the coffee shop and Chinese restaurant, the service we received was genuinely world-class. They worked tirelessly to make us feel welcome and comfortable, and they are the absolute highlight of this hotel. Unfortunately, the dedication of the front line staff is let down by glaring management-led budget cuts. On our first day, the hotel felt like a true five-star experience, which happened to coincide with a visit from senior management. The Club Lounge featured a spectacular spread, including fresh lychees, madeleines, local Goutou Jujubes (red dates), and specialty date tarts. However, by the second day, all of these premium items vanished entirely. We later learned from staff that senior management had specifically ordered these items to be removed once their visit concluded. This "putting on a show" was also obvious at the Market Café, which was strangely overstaffed on our first morning but suffered a drastic drop in service levels the moment the bosses left. Basic room comfort was also sacrificed to save on energy costs. The air conditioning was severely restricted during the middle of our stay, leaving the room uncomfortably hot. Opening the windows was not a viable solution, as insects found their way in through the screens. The heat was so bad we had to borrow a freestanding fan to cope, and I unfortunately cut my finger trying to adjust it. The AC was finally restored to a comfortable level for our last two nights, but guest comfort shouldn't be a secondary priority. Overall, the front line team deserves five stars for their outstanding hospitality. It is just a shame that upper management prioritizes internal appearances over providing a consistent, comfortable experience for their guests.

This is the first time in my life that I’ve left a negative review of a hotel on a feedback survey. Perhaps because I redeemed the room using Hyatt points, the stay was so disappointing. 1. The room facilities were outdated, and the bathwater had a metallic smell. 2.The staff at the Regency Club were extremely arrogant, condescending and treated guests differently depending on who they were, as if the staff were the ones who deserved to be served. 3.During our first breakfast, the restaurant host asked what we’d like to drink. We ordered coffee, but by the time we’d finished eating, it still hadn’t arrived. 4.When I ordered takeaway in the evening, the delivery guy told me a robot would bring it up, but after waiting for over an hour, my food still hadn’t arrived. I went downstairs to enquire and found the concierge sitting with his legs crossed, playing on his mobile. He told me I must call reception to have the food delivered to my room, yet no one had informed me I needed to do this. As it had taken far too long and I was worried the food might have gone off, I eventually stormed out of the hotel with the takeaway and threw it straight into a bin.

I must commend the exceptionally spacious room and outstanding service. Upon learning that my birthday falls in November, the team thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake and arranged a special room decoration. I truly feel valued as a loyal Hyatt enthusiast.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Xi’an. July (刘娟) and her team at the Regency Club Lounge went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially taking such great care of our kids. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

This is not a hotel. It is a Palace. I am a globalist who used a suite upgrade award and had my 4 night stay in a regency suite. Property is absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. There are 30 foot ceilings and it is surrounded by 15 foot walls next to a beautiful lake that takes 4 miles to walk around. Breakfast buffet is amazing, might be one of the best I have ever had. Club lounge is nice too, somewhat limited hot food items but excellent fruit and desert. Such an under rated property

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, the facility is well maintained, I am also very impressed with guest service. Every staff member is so friendly and helpful. Lydia with guest service was able to help me locate my jackets that I left in the room after I checked out, and had them shipped to me promptly. I really appreciate her help.

Wonderful experience, the hotel is simply beautiful and the amenities, the pool, just spectacular! The convenient location and the attached park, lovely . One of the best I’ve stayed around the world. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without a second thought!

What a great hotel. Beautiful property. Across the street from a nice shopping mall and not far from Tang Paradise area. It’s about a 20 minute car ride to the old city, which is fine. Recommended! And now I need to write 40 more characters. Done!

This hotel is simply outstanding. Don't even think about, just book it. We love the Hyatt brand, but this was one of the best ones we've stand at anywhere in the world. The room was huge, comfortable, and well appointed. (In fact, the room was bigger than many peoples' studio apartments. Did we get an upgrade?). The bathroom was spatious and the bed comfortable. Blackout curtains are important to us, and the room was nice and dark for sleeping. The breakfast was abundant and excellent, and we couldn't wait to try new foods everyday. They have a variety of Western and Chinese dishes and we had so much fun trying different Chinese foods every day, that we didn't have room for any Western breakfast items. The swimming pool is huge and has excellent lap lanes (bring your cap and goggles for lap swimming). There is also a sauna and hot tub in the men's and women's locker rooms. The pool and spa are open to 10 pm and were never crowded during our stay. We enjoyed the club lounge in the evening with its food and drink options. Lots of fun Chinese dishes, but then the upscale mall across the street had great restaurants too. Picture menus at the restaurants. Use Google Translate app on your phone to decipher. Just be prepared for people in China not wanting to speak English and using their phones to translate.

The hotel location is convenient with a park behind the hotel, and a huge shopping mall across the road. The lobby is massive and the overall condition of the hotel and rooms are very well maintained. We had breakfast and dinner buffets at the hotel restaurant on ground floor, and there is a wide variety of food options (Chinese, western, japanese), and the quality of the food is good.

This is a beautiful hotel. The room is spacious & beautifully decorated with a balcony outside the room. Both the dinner & breakfast buffet served both quality Chinese & American food, definitely not to be missed. So many choices, definitely something for everyone!

Air conditioning did not work staff tried to help but only solution was a different room with balcony so we could open the door. Only having one restaurant was a surprise. Buffet was great but didn’t want it two nights. It would be great for one night stay .

Regency hotel is usually a normal hotel in USA, however this hotel looks a luxurious hotel. The room is spacious. Breakfast has the choices more than I expected. I cannot expect more from a regency hotel in the world. This is one of the best hotel I stay in Xian.

Too many group guests make the hotel really busy. Hotel was only 9 years, but really feels like a 90s hotel with dim light and wear and tear here and there. Breakfast is great though.

The staff at this hotel were all great. Zheng Lei (Jerry) was particularly helpful as he assisted with my request of shipping gifts to other parts of China. He even helped with filling out the form. His hospitality was above and beyond. The amenities at this hotel was also top notch. Great gym, pool and breakfast. Not to mention convenient location to all of Xian. 10/10 would come back

I had one night stay at Xi'an Hyatt Regency last week and was treated well. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the attentive staff at the front desk. They graciously accommodated my request for an early check-in and generously offered an upgrade to a spacious corner suite on the first floor. I opted instead for a club room on the third floor for its easy access to the lounge. I'm a globalist. Staff in the club lounge were polite and welcoming too. Lounge hours are 10am - 10pm. Soft drinks, coffee/tea and fruits are available all day. Happy hours are from 6pm-8pm with several hot dishes and soups on offer. The breakfast featured a diverse selection of Shanxi local dishes alongside Western favorites. They are of good quality though nothing special stand out. The hotel's west entrance leads to Qujiang Park. I took advantage of it and had a nice walk along the picturesque lake in the evening of arrival day and again in the morning next day. Overall I had a very pleasant stay.

My stay at the Hyatt Regency Xian exceeded all expectations. It is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. From the check-in experience to accommodation, dining, and amenities, everything is top-notch. Globalist recognition is exceptional. We were upgraded to a suite and had access to both the breakfast buffet and the Club lounge. The breakfast buffet offers an extensive and delicious selection of food. The light dinner served at the Club is plentiful and sufficient for a formal dinner. The gym is nice, and the pool water was warm and pleasant. Be aware that the rooms may have a distinctive wood smell, as all furniture is made of high-quality hardwood. We were initially surprised by the smell and asked to change rooms. Hunter, the Front Desk Manager, was beyond helpful. He came right away to check the room and took me to several other rooms for options. We eventually stayed in our originally assigned room and actually became accustomed to the wood smell. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many staff members spoke good English, which contrasts with our experience at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai Jingmao. Overall, this is an exceptional hotel to stay at if you are visiting Xian. Truly luxurious and comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Xi'an. The location is perfect, with easy access to many attractions. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially the executive lounge manager. The food at the hotel is delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

This is definitely one of the best hotel experiences so far. The staff were very friendly, the suite they upgraded me to was unbelievable roomy, yet still provides excellent lake view. Assistant manager of the Regency Club, Everlyn, checked me in and she was super friendly and helpful. This hotel is for sure one of my favorite, and would be my #1 choice whenever I visit Xi'an. Fabulous.
