    Alarm system

I stayed at the Hyatt so I would be refreshed for my early morning flight, and the fire alarm went off at 10pm and 3 more times throughout the night after that. No one explained what was going on and when I told the gentleman at the front desk, he really did not seem to care and just laughed it off and said he heard about it when he got in for his early morning shift. My travel day the next morning was really tiresome because I got no rest the evening before and this is the reason I stayed there.

Good but be aware of the snack 'store'.

Location is great for early morning flights - shuttle is regular and frequent. Rooms are noisier than what I'd expect (hearing adjacent rooms pretty clearly and they were not being any louder than a conversation). Worst surprise was arriving late and needing a quick snack before bed and a couple of things for the morning flight - two KIND protein bars and small sleeve of Donettes at the lobby shop were $18+ dollars! They know they're your last resort and can squeeze you for whatever they choose, so plan ahead better than I did.

    Horrible staff

Very rude staff, unprofessional and very unpleasant to deal with. The server at the restaurant leaves mid conversation, raised her voice and then ignored cleaning the table for me onlym while buttering my husband.

    Poor check in

Not a great hotel, very disappointed with the check in front desk staff. Not professional in greeting people at all. More worried about a laundry bag and keeping me waiting for about 7 minutes stood at the desk. Dirty bed pillows not great for big name hotel.

Felt unsafe: drunk teens banged on our doors all night, two sleepless nights with kids

We stayed two nights in September 2026 in two rooms: my husband, our two young children (ages 2 and 6) and me in one, and my parents in the other. It was our first time flying into Pittsburgh, and we chose a Hyatt Regency because of the brand's reputation. It turned out to be one of the worst hotel stays we have ever had. On both nights, a group of teenage boys who sounded drunk banged on our doors over and over through the night. It felt like they were trying to intimidate us. My parents and my kids were terrified. Even after the banging stopped, people kept talking loudly right outside our rooms until about 6 AM. I got 3-4 hours of sleep the first night and none at all the second night. To be fair, the rooms were clean and everything in them worked. But a hotel's most basic job is to keep guests safe and let them sleep, and that did not happen here. Honestly, budget motels I have stayed at years ago were better than this. If you are traveling with family, I would think twice before booking.

    Worst stay ever

This hotel is terrible. Do not travel here if you have children or are part of a big group of kids. They hate kids and don’t understand their behavior. They also support child abuse.

Don't stay there on Friday night

The location isn't as convenient as it used to be. It's connected to the airport however the jet way is shut down. So you have to take a shuttle at first there was only one shuttle now they have three. They don't advertise it. It was clean and it seemed quiet until midnight and that's when we had 10 to 15 kids running up and down the hallway banging on all the doors screaming obscenities and no parents. No one to complain to because no one would answer the phone at the front desk for 45 minutes. As a woman staying by myself it was quite alarming. It went on for hours before anyone did anything. And then it started again the kids came out and started screaming up and down the Halls again and then slamming the door shut. It's very disappointing for $244 plus tax .

This isa nice hotel on the airport property. The bar and restaurant are nice. Pool and fitness room were adequate. There is a shuttle to the airport. Overall a good stay.

    Very disappointing

Didn’t get to the hotel until after 8pm, exhausted, we walked in to towels all over the bathroom floor, bed sheets and blanket piled on the bed. Not to mention, screaming and yelling on our floor from a dance team being there. Went to the front desk and got “upgraded” from the 3rd to the 9th floor for a “delux” experience. Not sure what the “Delux” experience was supposed to be because the view was of the airport parking lot. Regardless, ordered food and went to bed because I was expected to be in a training the following morning. Because of the training, I requested late check out prior to coming to the hotel, which was granted until 1pm. Starting at 9am, housekeeping kept opening the door on my husband while he slept and he told them we were still there. He then placed the lock on the door only to be woken up with housekeeping trying to remove the lock to get in. My husband goes to the door and lets them know we have a late check out. Housekeeping says we don’t, and he assures them we do (probably should’ve been that interested in cleaning the original room). Husband decides to just get up and leave the hotel. Was supposed to have free parking but was charged $15. Then continues to leave and gets stopped asking for his ticket. Tells the guy he already paid and shouldn’t of been charged anyway. He was then directed to some sort of office where the man there was rude and told him there’s nothing they can do about it. He comes back to the hotel and the lady at the front desk asks why he didn’t back up instead of going through the gate and paying. He explained because there were multiple cars behind him. She did remove the $15 fee; however, I likely won’t be staying at this location again because it was not worth the crap experience for the price.

    not a good value

Plenty of other places that are a better value than this place. hotels in our location in middle of a gated parking lot the restrictions getting in and out. The hotel itself is rundown.

    Shuttle me…not!

If you are looking for the old Hyatt Regency at the airport and walk to the terminal, this is not it any longer. With the airport’s recent renovation shrinking the footprint, this is now a shuttle-to-airport hotel and when you are waiting for several shuttles because “we have to take flight crews first”, you may be better off at other hotels.

    Yellow Ribbon Conference

Clean room and comfortable. We are the type of people that live a cold room and we're so happy to enjoy nice cold room! We were staying for the Yellow Ribbon Conference and the food was delicious!

    Good night sleep

Bed was extremely comfortable. There was an overall smell of mustiness in the hotel. Cost of breakfast was extremely high, considering it is what most give for a continental breakfast.

    Great Location but tired hotel

The location can't be beat when your flight is canceled but the room cleanliness and maintenance could be improved upon.

    Parking was a nightmare!

The parking situation and lack of signage was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I CANNOT believe the lack of signage and lack of training at the front desk. I spent an hour going back and forth between the main desk...and 3 different lots. I spoke to 3 different employees and got 3 different answers. Love Hyatt. Would not recommend this location!

    Great hotel and location

Great choice if you have an early flight out of the Pittsburgh airport. Shuttle service to terminal runs every 15 minutes.
