  • Not clean blanket

    Cleaning was not good enough. Our room blanket was not cleaned enough. We found someone's blood on the blanket. However, all staff and food was good.

  • average place for a higher than average price

    the hotel is not as nice or classy as it was 29 yrs ago. but it is conveniently located right off the highway for easy access to airports & wedding at the Morton Arboretum. the breakfast buffet is ok, but not worth $18/person, imo. it is definitely not worth the current nightly rate as it is not as nice anymore. hotel is in need of renovations & they should inspect the room before giving patron the key. my sister's room was missing shower curtain & coffee pot (pods were there). my room had a leaking toilet so they moved me. that new room was not very clean (mirror was messy, fine debris on nightstand, no pillows on the couch). average place for a higher than average price.

  • Not the Hyatt Regency I know

    This hotel could use an upgrade. The condition of the room was not in the best of shape. We could not watch tv, because we could not get any channels. The antenna reception was weak that we could not get a good signal.

  • You get what you pay for

    Stayed at this hotel for 3day. My room was NOT touched once. In fact I had to continue to ask for towels. Not to mention shower barely became warm. I would have complained but I wanted my bday weekend as peaceful as possible

  • My experience

    Staff was polite and check in process was adequate. There is a bar but most of the time it was closed. The rooms/decor need updating. They provided small pieces of soap and very small bottles of other needed liquids anr there's no microwave in thr rooms, The electronic portals for your cell phone and similar devices were not available in the rooms.

  • Inadequately Staffed

    Room was clean but the beds were smaller than I thought. Inadequately staffed for the crowd. I didn't get a room until 10pm.

  • Overbooked, understaffed, clean hotel with friendly service

    I never write reviews. Decent room, but understaffed and overbooked. There were 3 weddings and a baseball tournament. 45 min wait to check in led to a 1 hour+ queue. They sent people to different hotels. Partial refund given but wow what a terrible experience. I got ready at a local gym and barely made it to the wedding on time. Stat to remember.

  • Poor Standards, Rundown Rooms, and Unreliable Housekeeping. Wouldn’t Stay Again

    Upon arrival, I immediately witnessed a guest in front of me complaining that their room hadn’t been cleaned and still had items left behind from a previous stay. Unfortunately, my experience followed a similar pattern. My first room was dirty and clearly not made up, and when I asked to switch, the second room was in the same condition. It wasn’t until the third room that I finally got a space that was clean and ready, but even then, the room had a very worn and beaten-down appearance with visible damage and scuff marks throughout. Definitely below the standard of most hotels I stay in. The breakfast buffet was another letdown. It was advertised as “brunch,” which implies a mix of breakfast and lunch options. In reality, it only included basic breakfast items like eggs, potatoes, sausage, and French toast for a steep $18, which felt excessive for what was offered. I also noticed inconsistent information from staff. The front desk told guests the buffet closed at 10 AM, but signs and hotel info stated it was open until 11 on weekends. I will say the lobby and check-in staff were polite and helpful, which I appreciated. But even they admitted these room issues “rarely happen,” which was hard to believe since it occurred to both me and the guest before me. It points to a serious lack of oversight and poor management of housekeeping standards. The bar and lounge area at the front looks inviting and well-designed, but after everything else, I didn’t feel like giving the hotel any more of my business. I doubt I’m the only one who feels that way. Overall, based on my experience and what I’ve read in other reviews, I would not recommend staying here. It seems like management has allowed things to slip significantly, and it shows. If they cared to improve, they would stay in these rooms themselves and set higher standards. For anything over $100 per night, there are better options nearby that offer more comfort, consistency, and value.

    Awful smell, stained carpet, inadequate front desk staff…suggested I stay at a sister property since they gave away the room type I reserved well in advance.

  • Wouldn’t recommend.

    Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences at this particular hotel. Dirty bedding and large trash bag left outside our door all night after making a call to the front desk to have removed. Guessing this was left by housekeeping while cleaning the rooms. Trash cans overflowing around the building.
