Very Relaxing Getaway
My husband and I decided to do a staycation for our anniversary this year. We will be travelling also, but on the actual day of our anniversary, we still wanted to do something special. We decided on the Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown. The location is perfect, since it is walking distance to nearly everything in downtown Houston. The hotel itself is spotless and beautiful. The room was very spacious, modern and clean. There was a mini-fridge and cool AC. The front desk agent Ryan was very polite and informative and I also appreciated his professionalism. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, and relaxing stay, do not hesitate to book the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Houston

Nice, clean, spacious, fast elevators, POOL, convenient location. I think there were 35 in our party. I did not hear any complaints. The party by the pool was flawless!
Great Hotel in downtown Houston
Very nice hotel with inside open space. Lot's of space with large conference rooms. The room was very good with small kitchenette. I'd stay again without question. I liked the location. Liked the pool area. Staff was helpful.

Another outstanding stay at our favorite Houston hotel!
The Hyatt Regency Downtoen Houston is such an exceptional hotel. It is clean, fresh, welcoming, with the best possible staff and service. Our room was generously sized with a lovely view of downtown Houston. The staff remember us from previous stays, which makes us feel like a part of the Hyatt family. A stay at the Hyatt Regency Houston is much like a family reunion in that we get to catch up with all the wonderful people there. We thoroughly enjoy every stay.

Decent business-class hotel in downtown Houston
This giant hotel in the heart of Houston's downtown served as a fine base for a conference that I attended at the convention center. The cavernous lobby looms over guests, with elevators racing skyward and rooms encrusting the circumference of the interior. If you aren't afraid of heights, you'll enjoy the elevator rides. The room was serviceable. I didn't like that the room's light switch only turned on a small entry light, leaving the room beyond shrouded in darkness. I had to use my phone's light to fumble my way to the bedroom and find the switches to turn on the bedroom lights. The paint and carpeting in my room could have used a refresh. Staff proved to be quite friendly and warm. I'd stay here again.

Hotel is great but a few upgrades would be nice.
Everything was good the hotel is a little out dated no check in option on the app. The elevators were extremely slow, the proxcard swipe in the elevator was very inconvenient especially with the 800 people on the same time schedule (the conference). it has options for eating but the wait in the restaurant Gulf and Prairie was way to long the wait staff were friendly. The Einstein Brothers was very good The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean HVAC worked perfectly they staff was very prompt when I requested additional towels and water.

Loved this hotel
This was my first stay at the Hyatt Regency downtown. I was speaking at the Houston Petroleum Club next door. This hotel is great - much more beautiful than I expected. I will 100% stay here for every downtown Houston meeting I have in the future.

Very comfortable room at a reasonable price
The room was spacious in the bed was extremely comfortable. The price of the room the night I was there was quite reasonable, but for some reason the next night the price is skyrocketed. Not sure what drove that price increase, but I would not hesitate to stay there again as long as the rates were reasonable.

Average Stay
The hotel was good for a place to rest. However, the room felt dark and dated. Onsite parking is quite pricey so had to park at a nearby garage for the duration of our stay. The pool is ok, but the deck could use a bit of an update as well. Location is good. Overall, this is definitely more of a business hotel vibe. I would suggest staying elsewhere if you're looking for a more vacation feel.

A Favorable Review
An enjoyable experience as an Intrastate Staycation. There was the AC not cooling upon arrival but maintenance came promptly. There was the issue with my online room service not being completed; I had to call again to reorder and it was resolved.

Large presence of roaches by the pool
We came for the parade and checked in under the pride code, and when we arrive, no one let us know that all of the events that was marketed for the hotel were canceled, and even after the parade, there was nowhere for us to sit in Congregate, we went to the pool and we were overwhelmed with the large presence of large roaches, running all over everywhere around the pool and on anything That you sit down on the ground

Best hotel in downtown Houston
Beautiful hotel, amazing lobby, and super modern clean rooms! this is the best location if you have functions downtown, like concerts, conventions, and meetings As usual, Mr. Adrian (front desk) always takes care of my family, friends and me. I was so happy to be able to finally meet him face-to-face for the first time! Also, Mr. Felix / Gregory at the restaurant took amazing care of my daughter and her friends’ breakfast. They had gone to a concert the night before and woke up very close to 10 o’clock when the breakfast shuts down. He was able to put together some boxes of food for their breakfast. That was very thoughtful and we appreciate it very much! Also Ms. Zaira Koontz made sure that our room made the most of my Globalist benefits. She was very kind and generous. We will be back in a few weeks and we can’t wait to return.

My experience was great at your hotel. The hotel is so beautiful,neat and clean. All of the staff were kind, friendly and respectful. The room was great cleaned up every day. The bed linen was great, neat and was changed every day. The staff was great at leaving clean towels for me daily and anytime I needed more. The elevators were always clean and working. All of my meals from the restaurant were delicious and were served in a timely manner. Thank you so much for the excellent service

Frustrated with lack elevator service in the hotel.
The only real complaint that I and I am sure every guest in the hotel experienced had that weekend had to do with availability of elevators for guests to get to their rooms.
