A tastefully decorated hotel, even though it was built in 2000, the building style is grand and worth savoring. As well as the location, it is worth recommending as you can see the beautiful lake view.

The hotel should proactively inform guests at check‑in about the restaurant music and outdoor performances, including when they are expected to end. I booked a lake‑view room, but half of the view was blocked. When I asked to switch rooms because of the noise and the obstructed view, the staff told me there were no more rooms available. I asked about paying for an upgrade and was told that it will be in another wing that is 5 mins away. This whole room availability conversation was proven not true later. 40 mins later, the power in my room went out while I was eating, and the phone wasn’t working so I couldn’t call the front desk. I recorded a video and walked down to report the issue, and only then was I finally moved to another room (in the same wing as current, only 2 floors above, a not a upgraded room, just a regular room!). At this point, I was very upset that the staff had claimed earlier that no rooms were available in this wing. Unacceptable. Suggestion to the hotel: Don’t lie to guests. Don’t leave a bad first impression for someone staying at the hotel for the first time. The overall hotel score would have been rated negatively if not for Herbert Liu at the front desk. He was the one who helped switch my room after the power outage and even carried my luggage from Room 2446 to 2702. Thank you, Herbert.

All in all, I love to come back to Hyatt. Its my favourite hotel in the area. Nice environment, superb breakfast, and close to shopping area.

This property resides by Songshan Lake, which is in the suburb of Dongguan and very close to Huawei’s headquarters. The hotel was built in 2009. I was worried about the maintenance of the property, since it is relatively old (compared to other hotels in mainland China), and the moisture from the lake might undermine the facilities of this property. It turned out that this was not an issue. All the equipment in the building functioned as expected, and I found no sign of stains inside my room. I stayed in a lake-view suite for my personal vacation, and the view from my room was good. The balcony of this suite is a perfect place for relaxing. This was a nice trip, and I hope I can visit again.

The last year the property has spiraled downward. The executive lounge food has disappeared from a great election and plentiful to a small cheese and meat tray and thats it! Maintenance is all but nonexistent, many light switch's not working, one elevator down 2 yers now, some rooms have hot water. Others are only warm. There is clearly new leadership at this hotel, whose objective is to focus, only on cash flow, therefore cutting back on maintenance and services, and converting this from a higher level property to a low in Chinese crappy hotel. They are using the HYATT name, but they are not honoring the HYATT brand.

We consider the Hyatt in Dongguan our home in China. The food is exceptional, great service, and place is always clean. All the restaurants in the hotel are awesome. They provide same day laundry. The gym is dated but all the equipment works and great for quick workout.

The hotel is in a good location, spacious rooms, the lake and garden all around are spectacular. First trip to China and the impression is excellent. Highly recommend. Suitable for families as well as business trips I will be back again Highly recommended hotel

I stay at this hotel for last 10 years on all my trip to China. Always nice to be back and see the view from my room on the lake look amazing and people are very nice always. I did call this hotel embassy, they recognize me and and they treat me always very good.

I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Dongguan 6 times. Every time it is an Excellent Hotel that is Beautiful, Comfortable and the Staff is Exceptional. I highly recommend the Hyatt for its ambiance and comfort, luxurious accommodations, and truly exceptional staff.

This is a great hotel in a park-like setting next to a wonderful lake. The staff is excellent and jumped to help me, making my stay quite enjoyable.

I am a Hyatt globalist member. The check in process was not very pleasant. I booked a suite for three night and I was offered a suite which has no window in the bedroom. I had to turn on the lights during the day. The staffs are nice to listen to me but do not provide actual solutions. It was a disappointing family vacation.

This is a great hotel that is very beautiful. I it located on a quiet private lake and the ambiance is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and the service is exceptional.

The hotel property, its cleanliness and the rooms are excellent. Where this hotel falls down is in the treatment by the staff. When trying to use the hotel restaurant after check-in I was first asked to pay by WeChat App. As a non native Chinese I am not able to have a Chinese bank account and therefore unable to use WeChat as a payment system. When they finally agreed to charge to my room they began bothering me every time I tried to eat at the restaurant regarding the value of my room deposit at the hotel, to the point where I finally went to complain to the front desk and manager. As I told them, if they need a larger room deposit they should say so can charge upon check-in but not bother the guest every time the guest wants to use one or more of the facilities of the hotel. It was an uncomfortable experience and very irritating.

Don’t expect anything good from this hotel. Dated rooms, broken & closed hotel amenities, poorly trained staff, breakfast items are cold & not heated. Stay away from this and you can get better ones in nearby areas.

The hotel has superb and responive staff but it is Chinese owned so expect to freeeze when its very cold out and sweat in hot weather (air con is not great) and they do not honor the Hyatt loyalty program promises so don't expect those benefits. Property is very nce on the lake. F&B so so.

I came here at one of the hottest months in the year, 34 degrees Celsius, for a business meeting. The hotel was very nice and clean. The swimming pool was beautiful and the hotel was surrounded by jackfruit and lychee tress around. Their breakfest buffet was excellent! I would come back for a personal retreat!

I highly recommend this hotel to any type of traveler. The rooms are spacious, clean and bright. The hotel facilities are in top notch condition and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet is great value and has an amazing array of options. This is the place to stay if you visit Dongguan.

But the amenties need to replace with new!! It is not feel convient to use. The power socket is loose, the carpet is too old and need to replace! the curtain is the room need to replaced. The lighting fixture for the desk is kind poor for style and funtion.
