Great location, with the hotel situated right above a subway station, making it incredibly convenient to get around the city. There’s also a charming little cafe right next door that serves some really good lattes. The employees are very helpful!

This hotel was great for our needs - perfect sized king room with comfy bed and great bathroom with heated toilet seat and great water pressure in the shower, conveniently located right next to (on top of?) the subway station, and right next to a cute coffee shop named School Bus Cafe. It worked out great for our day trips via train!

It was a decent stay but hotel lacks amenities. The breakfast was not very good. The location was ok on top of a train station but away from all attractions. You basically get what you pay for!

Loved the stay! The location was ideal, providing near by entertainment. The hotel services was great and food was amazing. Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to stay here again.

Overall, a good stay with a convenient location, clean rooms, and a comfortable experience. However, I expected better hospitality and service, particularly with luggage handling during check-in and check-out. These small but important services make a real difference, especially for families travelling with luggage. Considering the room size and type provided, I also felt the pricing was on the higher side. While the hotel met basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness, better guest assistance and more value for money would have made the stay more satisfying.

Perfect location, helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast. We were walking distances from temples and we're able to take in a simp wrestling event one block away.

This hotel represents a great option for staying in Kyoto. It sits directly atop a subway stop and bus station, which makes for easy access to several local temples, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and Nijo Castle. Rooms are clean and well-maintained.

Great location right next to a train station. We ended up not walking from this location much, so not sure what attractions are in the area, but it was a nice area with restaurant options nearby. Buffet breakfast was a really good with an omelet station. Comfortable beds, and washers located on 2 floors.

A lovely hotel extremely well situated to subway lines and other important parts of the city. Everything was clean and orderly, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The gym could use more, and more updated, equipment -- including free weights, but this is a personal choice.

Hyatt Place Kyoto is an excellent hotel with a fantastic location. The property has direct access to Marutamachi Station (K07) on the Kyoto Subway Karasuma Line, making it incredibly convenient to travel around Kyoto. Kyoto Gyoen National Garden is just one block from the hotel, making it easy to enjoy a relaxing walk or morning jog. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto.

Location was good. Easy access to the rest of the city. Rooms were clean and functional. The staff were so unfriendly. They all just seemed sick and tired of the tourists. It showed.

Clean, modern, well situated. Rooms were very comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Best Hyatt Place I've ever stayed out. Staff got us connecting rooms which was a huge plus.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there was an excellent selection of food for breakfast, with both local and western food available. The staff were also very helpful, friendly and could all speak very good English. After I had checked out, they even contacted me to say I had left some valuables behind in the safe within my hotel room, which I was able to retrieve thanks to them. The hotel is also in a convenient location, being a few minutes walk from the Gyoen National Gardens, and just a few seconds walk from the nearest subway station. I would happily recommend this place to others, and would visit again next time I stay in Kyoto.

Hyatt Place was a wonderful stay in Kyoto. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout my visit, always happy to assist with any questions or requests. One fun touch was the nightwear provided in the room—it was comfortable and added a unique Japanese hotel experience. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and felt very comfortable after a long day of exploring the city. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with enough variety to start the day well. With its excellent service, clean rooms, thoughtful amenities, and helpful luggage transfer options, I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo

Location was right next to a train exit, very convenient. Rooms larger than expected. Clean room with bathroom essentials provided. Family Mart and 7-11 close by. Only negative, had to walk farther to look for restaurants.

Excellent stay and a great base for exploring Kyoto. The location was very convenient with easy subway access while still feeling calmer and more relaxed than Osaka or Tokyo. The hotel was clean, efficient, and comfortable, and the staff were consistently polite and professional. As a solo traveler doing 20k+ step walking days, I especially appreciated the balance of functionality and comfort. The room design was simple but worked very well operationally after full days exploring temples, shrines, and different neighborhoods around Kyoto. The breakfast and common areas were practical and well maintained, and overall the property delivered strong value. I would happily stay here again on a future Kyoto visit

No Globalist Recognition: Upon arrival, my status was completely ignored. There was no greeting, no welcome, and no acknowledgment of loyalty. The staff member didn't even look up from her computer, simply stating, "Check-in is at 3:00 PM." Intentional Dishonesty: I was explicitly told I was "upgraded," yet I was placed in a base-level room on the 2nd floor. Management later admitted no upgrade occurred: they simply kept me in the room I had already reserved for my second night. To lie to a guest about an upgrade is a total breach of trust. Service & Communication: Because the check-in was so dismissive, the hotel’s unique housekeeping magnet system was never explained. We returned to an unserviced room because we weren't told about the 11:00 AM cutoff. Benefit Denial: I had to fight for the guaranteed 4:00 PM late checkout
