Beautiful hotel in a great location. Great amenities and amazing rooms. Nothing was out of place. The atmosphere in the lobby/bar area was great too. The pool is a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. The location is the best, right across from the San Juan Bay, so if you're leaving on a cruise, go to el Condado or airport, everything is just minutes away.

Central location. Nice pool area. Breakfast included, but it could have had better options. I would stay again. We stayed 2 nights. Also we paid the extra for parking our rental . You do need to use your room key everywhere. Maybe a bit too much.

My experience staying at Hyatt Place San Juan hotel was superb! The staff were very attentive friendly, and welcoming . The room was neat with all the commodities and everything working perfectly. I was staying on my own for attending a convention and im very satisfied with my stay there.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Hyatt Place San Juan. I completely understand that this is not a resort or a luxury hotel, and we did not arrive expecting resort-level service. However, I do think there are certain basic levels of hospitality that should be expected from a Hyatt property. When we arrived, there was no bell service or anyone available to help with our luggage. I had to go inside, find a luggage cart myself, bring it outside, load our bags, take everything up to the room, and then return the cart to the lobby. What made it more frustrating was seeing several employees behind the front desk, while only one seemed to be actively assisting guests. Even without dedicated bell service, offering some assistance would have made a huge difference. The biggest disappointment, however, was the pool area. We specifically chose this hotel because of the children's pool and water slide. Unfortunately, the slide was closed until Saturday night, and even on Sunday it was only partially open. Had we known that one of the main amenities we were choosing the hotel for would be unavailable for most of our stay, we would have booked somewhere else. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations. When you're choosing a hotel specifically because it advertises a family-friendly amenity, you expect that amenity to actually be available—or, at the very least, to be notified ahead of time if it won't be. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose this property again.

To start, the only reason i booked was to utilize the kids pool which was unserviceable and cordoned. This was never communicated by staff despite that being verbalized as a reason to stay. Room was ok but room had moist and walls slightly deteriorated by humidity in the bathroom. On top, we got charged for destination fee which is an absurd way to charge extra for a room. Very disappointing stay to be honest.

Great location, clean, quiet and a great staff. The T-Mobile/Coke venue is close and they have a shuttle for other services nearby.

As a Hyatt supporter the experience in San Juan was amazing. Centrally located, amazing view, great cafe and menu to enrich the Puerto Rico pallet was amazing.

This was my second disappointing experience at Hyatt Place San Juan. I had a negative experience during a previous stay in July, but decided to give the hotel another chance because of its convenient location and family-friendly pool area. Unfortunately, the same check-in issues happened again. I arrived around 2:00 PM and understood that I was early, but by 4:20 PM my room was still not ready. There was a long line at the front desk, and multiple guests were also waiting for rooms. Once we finally received our room, it was clean and everything worked as expected. The following morning, around 10:00 AM, a housekeeping employee knocked loudly on my door and rudely asked whether I had a late checkout, reminding me that checkout was at 11:00 AM. I was fully aware of the checkout time, and it was only 10:00 AM. After having to wait beyond check-in time for my room the day before, being rushed an hour before checkout was especially frustrating. The most concerning part of our stay involved my 3-year-old daughter. She slipped on the stairs in the children’s pool/slide area, hitting the back of her head/neck and then her chin and sustaining visible injuries. For a brief moment, my mother felt that she was not responding. There was no lifeguard present, and to our knowledge no hotel employee came to assist her. My mother went to the front desk asking if anyone trained in first aid could check my daughter. She was told there was no one available and that they could call an ambulance. We understand that emergency medical services may have been the only medical option available. What was disappointing was the lack of empathy, concern, or assistance after an accident involving a small child. Thankfully, my daughter has been doing well. However, after giving this property a second opportunity, the repeated operational problems and especially the response following my daughter’s accident have made me decide not to return.

Excellent location with shuttle to nearby attractions. Clean and walking distance from Distrito Tmobile. Breakfast was amazing.

The experience was excellent. Is the second time I stay with my family and we love the hotel, the location is near Old San Juan and Distrito T-Mobile. The breakfast is very good. The service from the employees was very gentle. My three years old son love the kids area at the pool. We will definitely return.

Great place to stay with family. Would definitely stay again. Everything was clean, the amenities were excellent, good breakfast and I particularly enjoyed the gym being open 24hrs.

I had to change my first room because it smelled terrible and had bugs crawling on the wall. The second room I asked for the refrigerator to be looked at because it was barely working. I asked for the safe battery to be changed because it wasn’t working, and I asked for the door in the bathroom to be fixed because it was stuck. My 6 year old got stuck in the bathroom bc of the door and I had to force my way in and the door frame fell on me, almost hitting my daughter. Nothing was fixed but the door frame. I have charges on my card that no one could explain, and still can’t explain. All I kept being told was that no one knew anything because the system was down, and that they would try to address my room issues, but the guy was very busy with other issues.

We stayed here from July 19th through July 23rd, and honestly, it was a very frustrating experience from start to finish. When we checked in, we were told the room type we had booked and already paid for wasn’t available. The front desk did upgrade us at no additional cost, which we appreciated, but unfortunately that was about the only positive part of our stay. As soon as we got to the room, we started noticing problems. There were bugs in the room, the air conditioning barely worked, and the refrigerator didn’t work at all. None of those are things you expect to deal with, especially after being “upgraded.” Housekeeping never came to clean our room once during our entire stay. We finally had to call and ask for service, and all they did was drop off clean towels. No cleaning, no emptying the garbage, nothing. We ended up with several days worth of trash and wet towels piling up in the room to the point where we just left the trash in the hall to be picked up. To make matters worse, the bathroom door handle looked like it had been glued back together and literally broke off with the slightest touch. The biggest issue, though, was the billing. Our room was already paid for in full before we arrived, yet the hotel placed three separate holds on my credit card, tying up more than $1,800. At the same time, the hotel’s computer systems were down, so guests couldn’t even charge anything to their rooms. Every single day I asked about the extra holds, and every single day I was told they didn’t know why they were there because the system was down. After the third hold, I ended up locking my credit card because I was worried another one would show up. I understand that things can go wrong, but this felt like one issue after another.

Amazing place to vacation close to everything amazing pool experience and the breakfast excellent service the treatment for my 4 legged daughter was more that what I never imagined

One of the few hotels we were comfortable with our family of 5 in one room. Worked well. Staff was exceptional. Came in early and gave us access to the pool while room was getting ready.

Excellent hotel. Great service starting from arrival. The hotel was extremely clean,the room was as well. They had a pull for kids with safe attractions,this made our stay worthwhile since our daughter enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet was amazing, a bit pricey but worth it, our daughter ate for free since she is 5 yrs. Overall, could say the best hotel in Puerto Rico we have visited so far.

We stayed here for one night before our cruise and we absolutely loved the hotel! The hotel is modern and well decorated, the room was very comfortable and clean, the pool area is gorgeous, and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. I would absolutely stay here again and would love to visit for longer. The free shuttle to certain areas of the city is a great amenity, but we arrived too late to take advantage. I highly recommend this hotel!

I reserved two adjoining rooms, each with two queen beds, for two adults and four children — a configuration I specifically confirmed by phone with the front desk before booking online on June 12, and again immediately after, when the front desk noted the request in my reservation. The room type and adjacency were the entire reason for the booking. On arrival the afternoon of June 22, I was told the request could not be honored. The two rooms we were given were not adjoining, and each had only one bed and a sofa — not the two queen beds confirmed. When my partner raised this, your associate Beatrice acknowledged that the property had overbooked. To accommodate six people with that shortfall, I was forced to cancel one of the two rooms (I do appreciate that the cancellation fee was waived) and to buy an air mattress at Walmart so my four children would have somewhere to sleep — in a room costing over $700 for the stay. The nights were uncomfortable, and the experience was the opposite of what I had planned. This was not an ordinary trip. It was the one week this summer that I have all four of my children together. I've been a loyal Hyatt Place guest for years — last year alone I stayed more than 20 consecutive nights at a Hyatt Place property for work.
