  • Convenient Hotel with Helpful Staff, but Crowded Breakfast

    very good location. helpful staff. the parking is a bit expensive.The breakfast dining area was undersized relative to the hotel, which led to long waits in line for breakfast.

  • I had a Great solo stay!!

    The staff were professional and courteous. They provided answers to my questions and solutions to my concerns. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. I felt safe. The breakfast was great and filling. The dining area was comfortable.

  • Great Stay

    Hotel was in a great location! Close to everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was amazing....a little disappointed with the menu...pizza came out burned. Bar tenders were perfect and the view from the City Place rooftop bar was incredible.

  • Great experience using Hyatt app to checkin and checkout

    It was awesome. I am a member of Hyatt World membership. I can check in without having to go to meet the receiptionist and use my digital key to get into the elevator and room. The checkout I can text to the hotel to change my checkout time beyond 12pm. It was smooth and awesome experience.

  • Nice corner but don't sleep on the sofa bed

    Sofa Bed was very uncomfortable. To close to the partition wall so I had to climb into it from the end. Sofa did not look like the website picture. Otherwise the room was always clean, the bathroom was well maintained. My family said the coffee was Bitter. (I drink tea)

  • Hyatt Place National Mall Hotel...Great place to stay.

    The Hyatt Place National Mall is a very nice place to stay with comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast. It is close to DCA/Reagan Airport so the taxi ride is very affordable. We were able to walk to the wharf area and to the Museum of the Bible. The convenience of Metro is available if one wants to use it. There are several restaurants in the area and the hotel has a couple of choices, too. We didn't notice outside noise. The staff was very accommodating at check in and check out. Because we were going to a museum before the airport, they locked up our bags for us. I would definitely stay there again.

  • I would stay here again

    I liked the hotel and it’s lication. Everything was to my expectation. The rooms need microwave. I wish I see the day when the USA hotels start installing bidet pipes in the toilets. They are cheap and easy to install and most importantly, cleaner!!

    Quick family getaway, good location and value. The Wharf is an easy Uber ride away, National Mall within walking distance.

  • Generally overcrowded, don't expect attentive service

    During our recent stay, we were quite disappointed with the level of service provided. We were a party of three adults staying for one night and had requested a dental kit and an extra comforter at check-in, as we planned to use the sofa bed. Although the front desk confirmed these would be sent to our room, nothing arrived for several hours. We double-checked that no “Do Not Disturb” sign was on the door and followed up again after 4–5 hours. Only then, about an hour later, someone brought us a comforter and toothpaste but no toothbrush. The next morning, we again requested a toothbrush, and the staff assured us it would be delivered. Unfortunately, it never came. Since we were running late for breakfast, we had no choice but to use toothpaste on our fingers. It's just such a basic request ..we expected more reliable and attentive service from Hyatt.

  • Should of been better

    Our stay should have been better. Upon check in we were almost denied parking. Told that the lot was full and we would have to park down the street and walk. I had to go to the front desk and demand parking as I am 8 months pregnant! The girl who checked me in thought it was best to go back and forth with me instead of making it right, right away! We also had to alter our daily plans to be sure we got back to the hotel early enough for parking each day. Not good! The room overall was nice, but we did notice there was something splattered on the bathroom wall and there was a black string hanging on the bedroom mirror. On our second night the rooftop bar area was closed for a private party. We were staying on the 8th floor. Around 9:00pm we began hearing very loud music coming from the party. This lasted until 1:30am which is unacceptable. I called the front desk and they did absolutely nothing for us. On the third night, my husband went downstairs to stand in front of the lobby for fresh air and called me to tell me that glass had fallen from a window on one of the top floors. The police showed up shortly after. Guests were not notified and that was it! My husband was not injured, but it was possible. Totally unacceptable. It was nice to have the option of breakfast, but after the first day I could clearly tell that not everything was fresh. Some items looked like they had been used from the previous day and warmed over. There were no bananas available which is typically the most common fruit item that should be available. Most staff seemed pleasant overall, but when you spend money to get away on vacation, you expect much better.
