Great option across the border..
A great short stay. The hotel (front lobby/entrance) was clean, though some work/renovation was taking place. Greeted by friendly and helpful agent, Melissa and the check in process was quick and easy. Our room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The power went out a couple of times during the late evening/early hours, which we found out happens in the area, but it was restored within a reasonable amount of time. The dining area was clean and spacious (we missed the breakfast service, which ends by 9:30 during the week). I would recommend this hotel, which is centrally located; should you find yourself across the border in Tijuana.

Honest and very professional
Super suprised with the staff at this Hotel. I left my wallet in the lobby and went back to my room. The staff called me and held it in their safe till i returned to the front desk.

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.
The atmosphere and hospitality of everyone was superb. The placery restaurant has phenomenal food. The breakfast bar is fresh, tasty, and visually appealing. The staff was super nice and helpful. If I ever go back to Tijuana, I would definitely want to stay here again.

The Hyatt is located central to shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and wonderful. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Nice Room, Disappointing Breakfast and Noise Issues
Our stay at Hyatt was comfortable overall, but there were several issues that impacted the experience. Starting with the positives, the room itself was a good size. The sheets and towels were in good condition, clean, and bright white. The bed was comfortable, but the comforter seemed not breathable and a bit plasticky on the skin. The TV remote was a bit finicky, but maintenance replaced it promptly. The AC worked well but hummed loudly. The room and bathroom were clean overall, though the carpet felt a bit sticky. The biggest issues involved breakfast and noise. My partner went downstairs ahead of time to confirm breakfast hours because hotel details indicated breakfast ended at 10:00 AM but also noted that hours could vary by day. He was specifically told breakfast would end at 11:00 AM. Based on that information, we planned accordingly. When we went down around 9:50 AM, staff already had carts out, and by 10:00 AM they were actively removing the food. We were extremely disappointed because we missed breakfast due to being given incorrect information by staff. Even though we were physically there before everything was fully removed, no accommodation was offered, and we were simply told breakfast was over. We specifically booked this hotel in part for the convenience of complimentary breakfast, so not being able to enjoy it due to staff error was very frustrating. The second major issue was noise. Our room faced the main street, and throughout the night there were cars racing and creating significant noise disturbances that repeatedly woke us up. As a result, we did not get a restful night’s sleep. It seems the hotel is aware this is an issue since earplugs were provided in the room, but there was only one set even though there were two guests. I had specifically requested a quiet room, so this was especially disappointing. We were also staying for a special occasion to celebrate a birthday, and this was noted in advance. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment of that at all. Overall, the hotel had some strong points in terms of cleanliness and comfort, but the breakfast miscommunication and poor sleep due to noise significantly affected our experience.
Knocked it out of the park!
Our stay was such a positive one! We enjoyed the staff/restaurant so much, we were sad to leave. Fantastic stay and would definitely stay again!

Exactly What Our Family Needed — Quiet, Comfortable, and Welcoming
We stayed here for one night with our two young daughters after having a pretty underwhelming experience at another well-known hotel nearby, and the difference was immediate. From the moment we arrived, Andrea at the front desk set the tone. She was warm, accommodating, and spoke excellent English, which made a big difference for us given our limited Spanish. We mentioned needing a quiet room for our kids’ naps, and she thoughtfully found us a great option. She was very transparent that the view wouldn’t be anything special, but it would be quiet — and it was exactly what we needed. Honestly, our kids were perfectly happy looking out at the building next door. The room itself was comfortable, clean overall, and well set up for a family. The blackout shades worked great, the beds were comfortable, and we were all able to rest — which was the priority for us. What really stood out throughout the stay was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, attentive, and welcoming: • The breakfast team was fantastic — constantly refreshing food, greeting guests, and keeping everything running smoothly • Housekeeping staff was friendly and clearly took pride in their work • The doorman was consistently helpful, especially when we had our hands full with kids and luggage • Even at the bar, the service was attentive and handled a difficult guest with professionalism Speaking of breakfast — this was one of the best Hyatt Place breakfasts I’ve had. A great mix of standard options and local dishes like chilaquiles, plus fresh juice options beyond the usual orange juice. It felt thoughtful and well-executed. The only small critique: some of the vertical surfaces in the room (cabinetry, sides of furniture, etc.) had visible splatter marks that looked like they hadn’t been wiped down thoroughly. Nothing major, but worth addressing. Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had, especially considering how frequently I travel. Hyatt continues to earn my loyalty, and this property is a big reason why. I would absolutely stay here again.

Business traveller.
Busy street with lots of building going on nearby. But there is in most of Tj to be honest! You are provided with earplugs, but it doesnt always help. Overall staff were great when they notice you. The door staff are very attentive and quick at letting you in. My room was clean and always tidy when I returned from work. There is quite a good choice for breakfast, sometimes too much choice because I never know what to choose!

Wonderful experince. Staff is great, room was wonderful, breakfast buffet was out of this world! If I had to say anything negative it would be location...not too much right near the hotel....but, EVERYTHING is a very short Uber ride/Walk away.

Much better experience than expected. Tijuana is growing fast!
So much better than the Sheraton airport in SanDiego. Gave me a great idea of what Tijuana really is. Blows Detroit away. Great location. Very clean and safer. Walking distance to everything. Water in the room. Food was very good. Staff was awesome.

Our trip was for medical needs and it turned into a nice relaxing mini vacation.
The location of the hotel was in a busy spot. However, across the street were the most excellent restaurants! The food at the hotel was delicious and quick room service with a smile. Transportation was provided which gave of ease of mind and the hotel was spotless and extremely comfortable.

Most people were kind but one person could work on his people skills. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. The perfume in the lobby was excessive. And outlets need to be changed. They are overused and are a fire hazard.
Hyatt TJ is awesome!
this is my 3rd stay at Hyatt Tijuana and it has been a great experience each time. Rooms are clean, staff friendly and professional. Staff is always willing to help answer any questions. The breakfast cook is awesome! The Hyatt TJ is conveniently located to nice restaurants in a mall and a short uber ride to Tacos El Franc and many other taco shops.
Great stay for medical purposes while in TJ
Rooms were nice size for our week long stay. EVERY employee was friendly and helpful. The employee I would like to give a shout out to was Salvador at the bar. He was always such a pleasure to speak to.
Good experience except the wet carpet
Everything was great except the ac leaking condensation water on the corner of the room close to my bed giving the room a fouling smell on top on stepping on wet carpet
Not the same as before.
Ive stayed here before. Always was a clean and good option in Tijuana. But this time room wasnt as clean as usual. Also phone didnt work. Had to go down stairs each time I wanted to talk to front desk. Just not a good stay all in all
