A hotel find in Poughkeepsie!
We initially chose the hotel for its location and the price. We were delighted with the hotel. Not only did it meet our basic needs for location and for price but it was modern, clean, and had an excellent friendly staff. The room was comfortable and quiet and met all our basic needs for a one-night stay.

One of the best Hyatt places I’ve ever been to
I stayed one night as part of the business trip, and I was amazed at all the detail tile work and design from Floor to ceiling. I would never expect this typically at a higher place and this looks more like a four or category five type hotel. Highly recommend recommended

Excellent hotel
I would highly recommend this hotel. We were at this hotel booked for two nights. We loved the area and this hotel so much we booked another three nights. Great location, close to stores, gas stations, restaurants and hospital. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. The rooms were clean, organized and comfortable. The front desk staff and housekeeping service was efficient and friendly

Guest experience went above and beyond
The hotel common areas and the rooms both were very clean, check in and check out were both fast and straightforward, and breakfast was, in my opinion, fairly high quality for continental hotel breakfast. My girlfriend and I had come to stay up here overnight for a friend’s wedding. This weekend, however, also happened to be our 5 year anniversary. As we were going to be busy with the wedding, we were not going to have much time to celebrate our own anniversary, but I still wanted to try to do something a little special for my girlfriend. I had called the hotel about a week before our stay and got in touch with Michael at the front desk, who went completely above and beyond to put a bouquet of roses and a bottle of sparkling cider (as neither one of us drinks) waiting for us in our room so that I could surprise her with them. Thanks to Michael’s help, I was able to still make our anniversary special for my girlfriend, and the next time I need to stay in the area this will be the first place I check for availability.

Overnight in Poughkeepsie.
Friendly, helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Clean. Comfortable bed. We stayed over one night and were able to leave our luggage early and late so we could enjoy the area without lugging it around.

Not Worthy of the Hyatt Name
The hotel looks new, and the staff is doing the best they can with what they have. But... the hotel itself was very shady. The place was crawling with drunk/high people who had passed out, even at 7am when we were checking out to continue our drive back from Canada. The rooms are modern, but we didn't get the impression that they were clean. There was a smell of mildew the minute you stepped into the room, so God knows what the real condition of the place is. Luckily, we were there to get some sleep on our drive back from Canada, so we didn't have to go through the full "hotel" experience for the few hours we were there.

Graduation stay
Poor customer service, room not very clean and lousy breakfast. Back parking lot entrance door didn’t work well. Mildew in our shower stall.

Not recommended
Kitchen staff is rude and unprofessional (especially George). The front desk staff is not fully aware of the hotel. I was told that the electric car charger is available but they failed to inform me that it is ‘not functional’ which put me in a very difficult situation because I could not charge my car at the hotel and had to waste time to go and charge at an alternate location.

Very nice hotel to stay.
Had a pleasant experience. Location, atmosphere and cleanliness were excellent. The room was a bit larger than expected with actually a sitting area with a sofa and coffee table to watch TV. It was very quiet however, my legs were bitten by something while I slept. Otherwise, I would stay there again.

Extremely helpful staff
This hotel is great. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. Front desk personnel are smiling and willing to always assist if needed. Sara’s, there are two of them, Emily, George, Chris and I’ve probably forgotten a few names. Breakfast isn’t the same every morning so you get some variety. Dinner options are actually very good also. Michael also works the desk but is the in the true sense a utility player. Desk, bartender, cook and server all are within his scope while he’s there. Hospitality is in his blood. We will be visiting this hotel often and are looking forward to it.

Seemed like housekeeping was on strike!
Rooms were not ready when our group arrived at 6pm, no shampoo in my room even after housekeeping service on the 2nd day, trash was not taken out during housekeeping service, trash overflowing in gym and no towels in gym.

Short but Sweet
Very accommodating. Breakfast the 1st morning was great! The bar in the lounge is a plus and lots of sitting areas indoors as well as outdoors. Room was very well put together and clean. Would definitely stay at Hyatt again. The sunrise was very warming.

Great experience
The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and the hotel location was great. We were able to find restaurants and malls within minutes of leaving the hotel.

Truly epic
First time at a Hyatt and we will definitely use this brand again. Other brands diminished services and customer service so we were prepared for an equal amount of "less in service". Not at the Hyatt. They blew us away the 1st day we returned to a refreshed room. Great job Hyatt. We will return.

Family-Friendly Stay in the Hudson Valley
We chose Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie for a family getaway and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the rooms were comfortable for our family. What stood out most was the combination of great service, a convenient location, and a relaxing atmosphere. The only thing we wished for was complimentary water in the guest rooms or lobby, as that would have been a nice added convenience. But the coffee and tea station was a nice touch. Highly recommend for families visiting the area.
