Hotel Policies

Check-in and Checkout Policy

Check-in time is 2 p.m. and checkout time is noon unless otherwise specified in the reservation voucher issued by Hyatt Place Bharuch. Checkouts between noon and 6 p.m. will be charged 50% of one night’s room rate. Guests checking out after 6 p.m. will be charged one night’s room rate. Arrivals before 9 a.m. will be charged one night’s room rate. Arrivals between 9 a.m.–2 p.m. will be charged 50% of one night’s room rate.

Family Policy

Children 12 and under stay free in existing room bedding. Rollaway beds, child rollaway beds and cribs may incur extra charges.

ID Requirement

For security purposes, a valid Indian government-approved photo identification with address is required at check-in for all guests. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, Aadhaar card or voter ID. A copy will be made of the document at check-in. Foreign guests must provide a valid visa at check-in.

Parking Policy

Daily valet parking is available free of charge for all overnight and visiting guests. Parking is at the owner’s risk. Overnight parking is available only for in-house guests and only after stipulated security checks. The hotel is not liable for theft of or damage to any parked vehicles.

Facility Use Policy

Use of recreational facilities such as the pool, gym and spa is governed by minimum age requirements. As a general guideline, these services can only be used by guests 16 years of age and above. Guests 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Hotel assumes that users of these facilities are medically fit and capable of using these facilities, and hotel is not liable for the safety and security of any individual. Security Policy

For security reasons, all rooms will be checked once every 24 hours for occupation and usage. Duplicate keys will not be issued without the presence of the registered guest, and only after the presentation of valid photo identification. Premises are monitored by CCTV. Guests are prohibited from viewing CCTV footage for any reason.

Smoking Policy

All public areas within the hotel are nonsmoking. Smoking is permitted only in smoking rooms located on designated floors or in designated outdoor smoking areas. Sale of tobacco and tobacco products to minors under the age of 18 is not permitted. Smoking in nonsmoking rooms is not permitted.

Per the notification dated May 30, 2008, issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, smoking in public places including hotels, restaurants, refreshments and banquet halls is an offence and prohibited beginning October 2, 2008, by law. Smoking in nonsmoking areas or in nonsmoking rooms will incur a minimum penalty of 5000 INR per occurrence per person.

Cancelation/Deposit Policy

All reservations must be guaranteed with credit card, advance payment or through company deposit. Reservations can be canceled without charge 72 hours in advance of check-in date unless otherwise specified in the reservation confirmation voucher issued by hotel. Certain reservations are nonrefundable and non-cancelable; in such cases, the credit card is charged at the time of booking. The amount of the entire stay including taxes will be charged in cases of late cancelation or no-show.

Credit Card Policy

The credit card holder must be present in order to use a credit card anywhere in the hotel. Hotel does not accept payment by cheque. By providing credit card details at the time of reservation, you authorise the hotel to charge that card in cases of no-show or late cancelation.

Extra Bed/Extra Person Policy

One older child or adult is charged INR 1500 plus taxes per person per night in an extra bed. The maximum number of extra beds or cots permitted in a room is one.

Outside Food and Beverage Policy

The hotel does not allow outside food and beverages without written permission. Consumption of outside food or beverages by guests is at their own risk, and the hotel is not liable for any damage or inconvenience. Guests are advised to take a personal driver or taxi, and are strictly prohibited from drinking and driving, per Indian law. 

Visitor Policy

Hotel does not allow visitors who are not registered with the hotel as occupants. Guest meetings are permitted in public areas only. Guests who wish to register must provide photo ID and additional occupancy charges will apply.

Guest Room Usage

Storing combustible or hazardous materials in any room is strictly prohibited. Usage of banned products, including narcotics and other drugs, is strictly prohibited. Rooms are not to be used for any activity not permitted by Indian law. We do not allow gambling materials, including poker chips and cards, hookahs, weapons or flammable items inside the hotel.

The guest agrees not to engage in or willfully or negligently allow to occur any illegal act in the hotel, including but not limited to activities covered under Gujarat Gaming Act and any other rules and laws.

Usage of Camera, Photography and Videography Equipment

Hotel does not allow professional cameras or drone camera usage. Photography is prohibited without written permission. Photographs or video taken within the hotel may not be used without permission and are subject to copyright approvals by an authorised representative of the hotel.

Guest Conduct

In the unfortunate event that a guest’s or their guest’s behavior becomes unacceptable and causes embarrassment or discomfort to others, management reserves the right to have the individual or individuals removed from the premises.

Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

If any dispute or differences of opinion arise between the client and guests in relation to or in connection with Hyatt Place Bharuch, they will undertake negotiation in good faith with a view toward resolving the matter. The parties shall endeavor to settle all disputes and differences amicably.

In the event that the parties fail to resolve any dispute amicably, they shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation of 1996. Each party shall be entitled to nominate an arbitrator and two arbitrators so nominated shall jointly nominate the third presiding arbitrator. The arbitrators shall give a reasoned decision. The proper law for the purpose of arbitration shall be Indian law, based out of Gujarat.

If any dispute or difference shall at any time arise in relation to services and facilities offered by the hotel—whether during the stay or after—and no amicable resolution or settlement is reached within a period of 30 days, such disputes and/or differences shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gujarat only, and subject to and governed by the laws of India.

The hotel does not allow pets, including service animals.
