Nice hotel on campus of UC Davis by itself. Relatively quiet except for nearby Amtrak train rumbling by sometimes blowing the horn but not hotel fault but that of the train engineers. Guess it depends on the specific engineer. You Comfortable rooms. And nice complimentary breakfast. I would stay there again.

We stayed two nights at Hyatt Place UC Davis in late July 2025. The hotel made a great first impression: the front desk staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the room was spotless. The beds were comfortable, everything smelled clean, and the A/C worked great. The bathroom was also very clean and well maintained. The biggest issue was with the breakfast. Saturday’s breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options, but Sunday’s was a big letdown—no boiled or scrambled eggs, no plain cream cheese, no regular milk. The options were mostly sweet (like strawberry cream cheese or peanut butter with sugar), which didn’t suit everyone. If the hotel is fully booked, they should plan better to accommodate all guests, even later in the breakfast window. The business center also had problems. The public printer was out of service, and the only option was to email documents to the front desk for printing, which felt uncomfortable for personal files. A simple toner backup or regular equipment checks would make a difference. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality and cleanliness. With better breakfast planning and improved business center functionality, this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Would never stay here again. Room I reserved through the Hyatt app wasn’t available and got put into a room with less beds than we needed. This was a big problem and my daughter ended up on the floor on a blow up mattress. To make it worse, the shower leaked all weekend, tv didn’t not work, found an old toothbrush that wasn’t ours on the floor, the window was bolted shut, and breakfast ran out of items (toast, bagels, fruit, bananas) before 8:30am. Coffee was also empty but they brought more when I asked. Overall it just was not a good experience and I’d never stay here again.

We stayed here for one night while attending a mini summer camp at UC Davis. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent — right on campus, which made everything super convenient. The staff provided great customer service and were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience!

The hotel facility is a bit old. My room AC was not working well. Luckily, the Front Desk (Hollie) was very helpful and she helped us to change to another room and follow up closely. She has good initiative and has a positive attitude even she is a part timer.

Hotel is comfortable and convenient to the UC Davis campus and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast, however, was a disaster -- many items (coffee, eggs, muffins) were unavailable and the breakfast area was an unappetizing mess. Oh, and there was no ink in the laser printer. Amenities aren't worth much if they are sub-par or unusable. Would look for other alternatives if I were to visit again.

Right along the campus Arboretum, this spot was perfect to walk straight to campus or go for a stroll along the river and beautiful gardens. We didn't need a car during our stay at all, just walked the .5 mile to downtown or through campus. I enjoyed how welcoming and friendly the staff is, and the comfort of the rooms and lobby. I was able to work from the room or lobby using the free wi-fi while my daughter attended classes on campus. The pool was small, but perfect for quick refreshing dip on a hot summer day. Continental breakfast was pretty typical for a hotel with simple hot breakfast burrito bar daily, choice of cereals and yogurt/fruit. I particularly enjoyed the 24/7 coffee & tea bar. I absolutely would recommend, and will definitely stay here again.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Water in the shower however was not hot and when the AC was initially ran, there was a moldy smell. It did eventually dissipate. My biggie frown/disappointment was that you can hear the train that passes in the morning and evening. Overall, none of these were a deal breaker but areas where I hope to see improvement next time I stay.

This hotel is in the campus right behind the student center, which was very convenient for us as we took a tour of the campus. Very nice hotel room was amazing more than I expected, I stay at many hotels and this was nice and very spacious. Breakfast was included, very basic but still good.

Pillows were like someone wadded up clothes and threw them in a sack. Bed was so hard I could not sleep. Curtains wouldn't close all the way. Sink was clogged up. I recommend if you have to stay here, get the room with a pull out bed so you can take the bed off the pull out and put it on top of the matres.
