Convenient Location and Good Business Hotel
Good Staffs, Clean Room and Nice Breakfast. This location is in the residential but it is also close to the shopping center. Very convenient.
First time at NJ Hyatt Place
Very friendly and accommodating staff, but some not well trained. Sketchy breakfast. Highway sign not lit so missed the entrance twice. Overall good value.
Below Hyatt standards
Seems below Hyatt Standards, Property needs better upgrades & more maintenance , newer bath towels too location is a bit tricky for in & out, as its on a highway, but thats manageable.
Highly recommend!
Clean room. We requested first floor and it was ready for us. The room was quiet and convenient. The breakfast was varied and the fresh fruit was lovely. Coffee was excellent and is available all day. We walked next door to happy hour at the fancy steakhouse. It was great not having to get in the car and brave route 4.
Great hotel but need some upgrade
Although the heated indoor swimming pool was fantastic, the room itself is definitely due for an upgrade—especially the sofa bed. It was old and rusted, with a large gap that the two cushions couldn't cover. Additionally, one of the two elevators was out of service during my stay on a fully booked Saturday, leading to long wait times.
Disappointed
Extremely outdated but clean. One elevator was broken which made getting around difficult plus the pool was closed. Not what we expected from a Hyatt in Paramus
Average experience
Average hotel for business stay; my only complain was the noise of both a/c and fridge at the room; old units. Breakfast normal, good coffee; plenty of parking spots. Easy entry.
Location, Location, Location
This one has a Great Location and excellent breafast food and coffee, friendly staffs! Impressed. But noisy a.c unit was downside.
Not the best experience
The room and toilet were ok. The sofa bed was not in the best condition and looks like it have seen better days. The room hallway had a bad odor to the end of the hallway for some reason which we ignored. The worst experience was from as a power outage during the stay and the response to that was very ineffective. I had a family with a pregnant wife, toddlers, and elderly parents and there were no relocation options given even close to midnight after hours of power outage. We were forced to find another place on our own.
Disappointing Stay Due to Cleanliness Issues
I recently stayed at this property for two nights and was very disappointed with the overall experience. As a World of Hyatt Globalist member, I have stayed at many Hyatt properties and usually expect a higher standard of cleanliness and hospitality. Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned properly before my arrival. I found hairs on the bed and on the table, and the toilet and toilet seat were not cleaned well. These cleanliness issues made the room feel uncomfortable and unacceptable for a Hyatt property. I truly wanted to enjoy my stay, but this experience fell short of the standard I expected.
Loud and dirty
Rooms are loud, you can hear doors slamming all night, staff does not speak English. Sofa and carpets stained. Extremely dated, looks like 1970s.!
Amazing and comfortable stay with delicious breakfast
Great location , comfortable stay in a cozy Hotel . Delicious breakfat , will stay here once again when we visit NYC and surrounding area.
If you like it (like it )
I recently stayed at Hyatt Place Fair Lawn Paramus and overall had a really positive experience. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were consistently friendly and professional, always willing to help and making the stay feel smooth and welcoming. The overall service and atmosphere reflect strong management and attention to guest comfort. The only area that could be improved is the breakfast. While it is convenient and included, the selection is fairly basic and could offer more variety and fresher options. It gets the job done, but it doesn’t stand out compared to the rest of the hotel experience. Overall, I would still highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent staff, and I would definitely stay again.
Not great
This was a Mother day gift for me. A time to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. But unfortunately i was dissapointed in how it turned out. First thing is after we booked the room we got a message that the pool would be closed for renovations. I understood and ended up not taking a bathing suit. Once I got there I find out the pool was in fact open so that was 1. Front desk was fairly nice. But getting to elevator was an experience. The elevator just told me alot about the conditions of the hotel. Old and unkept! Once i stepped off elevator i thought i was in a haunted hallways. It was sooo dark! And me as a young woman staying alone, i couldnt get in my room fast enough. Once in the room i felt safer. Until i saw the HUMONGOUS stain on my couch. Sooo sitting on my couch was out of the question. Went to lay in bed and watch a movie. Tv wasnt working. Wouldnt allow me to look at the channel guide. I get alot of hotels dont have smart tvs but at least make sure the cable tv is working as well! I had 8 channels and the rest was static. Walking around my room saw many holes around and aftwr that i just stopped looking. I was so dissapointed that my 1 free day of the year had to turn out this way.
In Drastic Need of Updates
This hotel was very outdated and boarder line dirty. There was a large dead bug by the bed, stains on the couch, shower did not drain properly, and beds were lumpy and small.
Horrible Hotel
I am a Hyatt Member. No one greeted or even acknowledged us when we arrived. I specifically requested a high floor and was given a room on the first floor. ((Check out the view from our room in the pictures below!!)) Hotel room was renovated poorly. Hardwood on the floors, but carpet trim? Closet door doesn’t even open enough to take provided blanket out! The main reason I booked with Hyatt this time was for the pool…. pool was closed with no date of opening. Breakfast was messy and felt cheap… paper plates? Food and trash all over the countertops and floors? Embarrassing Hyatt. We couldn’t wait to check out. I am highly disappointed with our stay. Would not recommend.
Dusty
Room was dusty. Breakfast was good. We were put by the elevator so it was a bit noisy. AC was a but noisy. Front desk was polite.
Helpful and friendly staff; wish the hotel update pool status on its web site
Location is right next to the highway so it can be noisy. The hotel room has worn and tears; but the staff is helpful and would make effort to improve your experience. For example, the shower head in our room was terribly deteriorated, because it past the work hours, the concierge staff shown us another room, unfortunately with another horrible shower head. We were promised sending a handyman to fix it in our room. The handyman gives us a good one the next day. It has an indoor pool, which sounds like a haven in mid-Spring. I made my reservation in late-March but the hotel web site didn't mention the closing pool. I was so looking forward to have a good swim, but it was unavailable upon our arrival and we were told that it has been closed since September, which was 6 months ago. I wish the hotel would post an update on its amenity status like the swimming pool is unavailable.
Acceptable
Acceptable place to stay. Breakfast was good and I was able to access the gym when needed. The room was fair and clean. The mattress had a dip and the bathroom door was entirely too close to the toilet.
Don't expect much.
It is not a bad hotel but the rooms are tired, the staff is not too accomidating and you get the feeling they want to get you in and out. Office chair in room was broken and towels were cheap and small. Not dirty, but just an old tired hotel and the staff acts the same ay. Bar is just barely functional
