Overnight stay to visit Crater Lake
The hotel is located at a good spot with shopping and Tesla charging nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Perfect place to stay if you are going to Crater lake or just passing through Eugene. A big shout-out to Nicole for going above and beyond on making the check-in process smooth. She was patient and gave us all the necessary information about parking, breakfast, sky bar, and hotel facilities.
A Wonderful Surprise — Exceeded Our Expectations!
We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Hyatt Place Eugene. The location was farther from UO, but it wasn't bad at all. Took us about 3 minutes longer to get to UO compared to the downtown Eugene hotels. The hotel is located in the mall area where stores such as Sephora, Pottery Barn, Norstroms Rack, Salt & Straw ice cream, etc. Our room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and well-appointed. The entire hotel was welcoming and nicely maintained. We honestly weren’t expecting Hyatt Place to impress us as much as it did, but it exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The breakfast was another pleasant surprise. We were impressed by the variety of offerings as well as the quality of the food. There were plenty of choices, everything was fresh and well prepared, and it was a wonderful way to start the day. Overall, Hyatt Place Eugene exceeded our expectations. We typically choose higher-end hotels when we travel, but we felt that this hotel was absolutely at the same level as the other upscale properties we’ve stayed at in Eugene. We would happily choose Hyatt Place Eugene in the future and look forward to staying here again!

Very charming hotel
The hotel was super nice and clean. Darling bar inside and the breakfast was super delicious and both area had beautiful views. The location is nice with restaurants and stores to shop. Nice walking area. Sam and Cody were wonderful.

Convenient I-5 stop
Very nicely appointed and comfortable hotel room. Hotel is just a mile or so off I-5, making it a convenient stop, although it is a little tricky to find the first time as it is on the 5th story on top of 4 floors of parking - find the tallest building and drive up to the 4th floor. The hotel is associated with an upscale shopping center (convenient for Oregon’s sales tax free shopping) with multiple good dining options.

Worth it
Fabulous hotel. Pretty lobby with indoor & outdoor lounge space. Great buffet breakfast. Loved the location next to shops. Consistent customer service.

Would Stay Again!
I loved the sky bar but wish the prices were a little lower. The balcony was beautiful. The room very clean, even the shower which is rare. I wish the breakfast had better juice options because the apple juice tasted like apple cider and the eggs seemed off but overall I was pleasantly surprised by all the options and sides. I loved the buffet style. Coffee was great. I do tend to choose hotels over whether or not they have a hot tub for my arthritis and I was super bummed that it was down. Hopefully it's working next time. Great customer service though, thank you.

Is it worth it in the end.
We have stayed at this Hyatt numerous times. The hotel itself is very nice, it is getting a little bit older so some updates may need to be addressed and I get that. Overall, the staff is extremely friendly, I was a little disappointed this time because normally they recognize that we are Hyatt members and offer us waters, which we didn't get this time but it's not really a big deal. The checkout service was not working and so I had to text the hotel and they took care of our checkout immediately and were very friendly and prompt. I do have a few complaints about this hotel. My first complaint is the parking, $20 per night for parking in Eugene seems extremely expensive. This is the only hotel/motel we have ever stayed at that charged for parking in Eugene. Which considering they have their own parking garage floors, it just seems a bit exorbitant. It was $18 which I thought was outlandish but now they've raised it another $2 per night. In this economy, when the rooms are as expensive as they are you would think you could maybe not charge the parking fee. My second complaint is the coffee mugs in the room. After seeing the video of the woman washing her underwear in the coffee pot, it's already questionable to use the in-room coffee pot. Now add ceramic coffee mugs. I get that they are more environmentally friendly and I think that is awesome, however, with the fact that we just had a major pandemic 6 years ago, these are highly unsanitary. Especially when what appears to be crusty mucus that was not completely washed out. The other problem with these mugs is that if dropped, like what happened to us, they crack and then someone has the potential to cut themselves. I think going back to the paper cups is a much better idea, I guess you have to choose the environment or people's health. Overall, this is a great hotel but I feel like they might be pushing people away with their choices.

Excellent place to stay!
I stayed here for a few days while visiting my son who goes to UofO. The hotel was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had a large quiet room. I had my small dog with me and the hotel was very welcoming and even gave me a bag with dog treats, bowl and blanket for him. The breakfast was really good. I got it for free since I am a Hyatt member but it was worth the price if you have to pay. Overall a great stay and a great location.

Mid but expensive
Good location and clean room, though I had to purchase my own sponge and dish soap to clean the dishes in our suite’s kitchenette. Poor internet and Chromecast wasn’t working. Evening shift folks were a bit standoff-ish, morning/day shift front desk staff were kind and helpful. The guy working the breakfast area was awesome and helpful and friendly.

Make sure you ask specifically if that is the total cost when you check in. Also make sure you ask what the parking fee is. The room and food are very good.

Amenities not what they used to be !
Have been coming here a number of years. now it seems like each time we come, something new and negative is operating. Parking fee (not mentioned on website) has increased and formerly did not exist. Breakfast now free for some but others have to pay. No info on website abut who gets free breakfast and who pays. Breakfast options are improved however. front desk staff are friendly but more casual than professional. hot tub not open and has not been available for a few years now it seems. Pool now available apparently. Rooms are nice and parking convenient though expensive now.

Great hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Located in a shopping center with lots of restaurants and stores. We didn't have to leave the area to eat or buy snacks, which was very convenient for us.

No Hot Tub Available For the Second Time
This was my second stay at the Hyatt Place in Eugene, and also the second time the hot tub was unavailable due to maintenance. It was super cold outside the evening I arrived, so I was very much looking forward to climbing into the hot tub. Didn't happen, so that was a disappointment. Otherwise, the stay was fine. Nothing special. But I do wish the hot tub had been available. Hoping some kid didn't have an accident inside it. If so, I hope the parents were issued a huge fine.

Special Night Out
Beautiful hotel, excellent location. The room was laid out well and nicer than expected. The shower and restroom were roomy and bright. The prime location made quick errands for last minute additions to our evening quick and simple. Breakfast was excellent, the service was brisk and kept up with a lively room.

Stay only if you really really really really need Hyatt points
If you're a Hyatt member........unfortunately this is the only Hyatt location in Eugene. Overall it's a decent hotel with corporate greed ruining the experience. Hotel - Good location, close to local eateries, a Trader Joe's, shopping and look out for the always-excellent Salt & Straw ice cream a short walking distance away. Rooms are generally spacious, housekeeping is consistent and thorough. Parking - Let's reaffirm Eugene, OR is not a major metropolitan city; I get paying for parking in cities like Portland or Seattle but there are less than 5 hotels in Eugene that charge for parking and this Hyatt Place has the unfortunate distinction of being one of them. Parking also used to be more reasonable at $10/night but was recently doubled to $20 for.....no reason? Breakfast - One of the very few Hyatt Places in the world that charges for breakfast! Same quality breakfast as before that you'd find in other Hyatt Place locations (meaning it's consistently good) but now costs $11-per-person-per-day Unless you really really really are a loyal Hyatt member, there are better hotels closer (Graduate by Hilton is a good one).

I would like to clarify a couple of points you mentioned, as there may be some confusion: -Breakfast: Breakfast is complimentary for all World of Hyatt members. The breakfast charge you referenced applies only to non-member guests, and enrollment in World of Hyatt is free at any time. -Parking: Our parking has never been $10 per night. In 2024, the rate was $18, and it increased at the beginning of 2025. The parking facility is gated, secured, monitored by CCTV cameras, and regularly patrolled, all of which are measures taken to ensure guest safety. Additionally, the hotel pays a significant cost to the parking center to provide and maintain this secured access for our guests. We certainly understand that parking fees can be a sensitive topic, especially in a smaller city, and we respect differing opinions. Our intent is always to balance safety, transparency, and guest experience while operating within the realities of our location and facilities. Thank you again for your candid feedback. Great location and lovely hotel!
Hyatt Place Eugene was better than expected. The room was large with a separate seating area, which was so nice for our family of 4. The shops and restaurants around the hotel were a pleasant surprise!

Spacious One Bedroom Suite top flour
Great location. Easy parking in parking garage. Our one bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable. Mall next to hotel was convenient.
