Create location in Royal Oak. You can walk to downtown, where there are many restaurants and shops. My biggest beef of this hotel is there is no water in the room, and then they charge you for a bottle of water. Also, the breakfast is average at best. Coffee terrible, a lot of food that looks like it’s been recycled for multiple days.
Hyatt Place Detroit/Royal Oak
Great location just north of Detroit proper in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The hotel and room were very clean. Staff was nice and attentive. Breakfast was very good.

Clean, comfortable, great location! Rooms were quiet, parking was easy, and many walkable options for food. The included breakfast was amazing too!

A perfect one-night stay.
We stayed for one night, because we were attending a show at the Royal Oak Music Theatre and the hotel is within walking distance. Free parking, great continental breakfast, and friendly employees. The room was clean and spacious and noise level was quieter than expected for being in a downtown setting. Highly recommend!

Great Location

Very Satisfied
Having stayed at Hyatt hotels in the past, this one met my expectations. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the location was perfect for our stay.

Hyatt Place a great addition to downtown Royal Oak, MI
Great location in downtown Royal Oak, clean and fresh room, nice gym and good price. Appreciated the washer and dryer on the 6th floor. Breakfast included.

Great Stay
Great location, very clean property and an outstanding staff. Add in the free parking in Downtown Royal Oak and it is a no-brainer place to stay.

Great place to stay.
Clean, updated rooms, kind staff, great breakfast, worth the money and energy. I travel a lot, and sometimes, hotels, where I stay aren’t not worth the price. This was not the case for this hotel. Quality was worth every penny.
Convenient and great customer service
Great location close to other shops/restaurants in town. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Parking is convenient with easy in/out access. Fantastic complimentary breakfast!

Had an Amazing stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Place. The location was really convenient, walking distance to almost all the restaurants, zoo and the library. The room was comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was very clean and neat. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful

A 10 in every category!
Great location, parking garage, very clean and nice new furnishings in rooms and lobby. Amazing breakfast and staff very friendly/courteous. The rooms seemed soundproof and halls quiet even with full hotel occupancy. Very impressed with the hotel and with Royal Oak!

Good!
Clean and good spaces. All personal is very kind. Recommended. Area is very calm and silence, ideal for morning walks. Breakfast is ok.

Clean and Quiet
Very quiet and clean hotel. Right on the Main street strip which was super close to a lot of things, walking distance. The staff were friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Only thing I wish would be better is the air in the lobby, it was pretty hot in there and the breakfast was not great! The food that was presented wasn't cooked well and it was not a good variety. They also didn't have a kitchen person for dinner/lunch during my stay which was a bummer. Otherwise i had a great experience and would stay again solely based off cleanliness.

Marriott WHO?
As a long time Marriott loyalist, this Hyatt is making me reconsider. For the price, the cleanliness, friendliness, and generosity of staff, as well as the accommodations and breakfast options were above and beyond. It’s also conveniently located among many walkable bars and restaurants. Will be back for sure!

Nice Hotel
The hotel is clean and easy to find. The breakfast is very good. The location is great. It's close to Somerset Mall and downtown Birmingham. I would definitely stay again.

More than I expected!
The location is great. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. The gym at the hotel was really good. The staff were incredible. This was definitely an above-average Hyatt, and I recommend it to anyone who needs a good place to stay.

Great weekend
Great place to stay just outside the city. We arrived for a family wedding celebration and the hotel was perfectly located for tons of restaurants and entertainment
