The good, the bad and the ugly!
Overall, a decent hotel in a good location. But the room decor could do with updating and the pool area is overlooking the carpark and not very private. Sadly let down by the discovery of not one, but two, long dark hairs found in my scrambled eggs at breakfast.
Expensive!
Expensive for what it is purely due to location. Hotel was clean and comfortable but for the cost (three times more on the Saturday than the Sunday). Would suggest staying off sight and getting transport in.
Priced right and convenient to attractions in the area.
Even gave me a room that was convenient for my service dog. Check in was so easy. Breakfast was a delightful mix of fresh fruit, hot food and general breakfast items.
Stockyards
Average hotel but great location Needs to be updated . Breakfast bar was good. Staff friendly Quiet hotel. Small bar. right in front of the Drover hotel.
Ugh I sure was expecting better
Stayed here for my daughter's wedding at the Drover, right across the street. This Hyatt is very much a 70s throwback-nothing has been updated in a very long time. The carpets are stained, the couch in our room was coming apart. The bathroom sink right in the bedroom had that 'old school motel' vibe. Just all around in sad shape. The breakfast was average, exactly what you get at any Days Inn or Motel 6, which was fine. The staff was helpful, the AC in the room worked like a champ! For $555/nt, I expected so much better tbh. Save your money and stay at the Comfort Inn nearby...
Great location - great hotel
Location was great - breakfast was solid. I would stay again if in stockyards - clean and quiet. Recommend. Helpful staff
This stockyards at its best
The location is great. The staff inside the hotel is great always enjoy our time there. Easy access to all the major events. Can’t beat it.
Great experience
Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was great. Location is perfect. Walking distance to food and shops. Cattle drive steps away
Our GO TO Hotel in the Stock Yards
Great location for a great value. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are nice. Why pay twice as much for other hotels when the HYATT PLACE is equally nice??
Historic Stockyard stay
We stayed here to attend a concert at the At&T stadium. The drive was easy. The hotel was nice although it is due for a refresh. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy. The a/c in our room worked great!! We had 100+ degree days but stayed nice and cool in our room. The staff was great and always helpful. We didn't hear any noise at night. We did have to pay for parking but it wasn't too expensive. There is a pool but we didn't use it. I'd definitely like to come back and explore more of the area. There were several restaurants in walking distance, a cattle drive two times a day, a train and a horse drawn carriage ride. The hotel can be a bit pricey if something is going on in the area though.
Great hotel at the stockyard!
This hotel is great if visiting the Stockyard- everything in walking distance. Please be mindful there is a $20 a night parking fee.
Hyatt Stockyards
The pool was warm and it was 108 outside. The bar had to give me ice for my room bucket. They do not have enough staff. There was two staff members working the night we were there. They were overworked. We were unable to relax.
Horrible AC please be advised
We knew the hotel was old. However, the AC system was so terrible neither of us could sleep hardly at all over the whole stay. We were miserable and exhausted, and just ready to go home. We’ll never stay at this hotel again. Definitely not worth the price.
Outstanding place to lay your head in the stockyards
We were visiting the stockyards in Ft Worth for the first time and chose this the Hyatt Place to stay. We paid a little more than other places but it was well worth it. The Hyatt exceeded our expectations. The location is the best; shopping and restaurants across the street, the cattle drive a few steps away. They have an amazing breakfast buffet that was delicious; probably the best we have had in a long time at a hotel. Check-in was seamless and the staff very willing to help. We would highly recommend this hotel. When we return we will stay here again.
Great hotel in perfect location, just needs a decent bathroom.
Bathroom is extremely small, can't close the door without scooting out of the way. They added small bath mats to the showers because of slick floors.

Great leadership, great stay!
If you’re visiting The Stockyards, the location of this hotel can’t be beat! As an added (and important) bonus, the staff at this hotel (Nicole, Maddox, et al) go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. This staff is also led by a general manager named Jennifer Clifford, who is a top notch professional in my book. We experienced a minor issue with our reservation and Jennifer was able to resolve it quickly and to our satisfaction. Thank you again, Jennifer. Also…I really enjoyed the free breakfast!
our family vacation
What a wonderful place to visit. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and it was a short walk to see everything we came to see. Great location for all the festivities. All around great experience
