  • Exceptional staff and room updates!

Very pleasant modern updates, included breakfast, and very friendly staff made my stay amazing! Great location to freeway and shopping plus great food stops around.

  • Terrible customer service!

They screwed up our bill and trying to get it resolved was a nightmare...still no luck! Terrible customer service! Won't be using Hyatt any longer!

  • Disappointing and gross

I have stayed at yucky, poorly functioning hotels before, but in all of those cases, the prices matched the experience ($60 room comes with a chance of cigarette smoke and bedbugs, right?). This was two nights for over $300, so I expected significantly better. I usually try to book one weekend getaway over the summer where my kids are confined to a small space with a door they can't unlock and throw themselves down the stairs, ingest poison, etc. I like to turn on cable and lie in a bed. This was the dream I had envisioned for this trip. It took us a while to get the cash together, because limited summer income in education. At the same time I could afford it, it became clear that my friend's mom needed some help, especially with intense cleaning and yard work. I wanted to be there to support her. There was no better opportunity to be a helper AND have my long-awaited evening respite. Then came disappointment, thanks mostly to the Hyatt Place in Dublin. I had spent the day doing summer chores, which if you have kids, you know that one chore turns into 45 because after you do the big chore, you need to do the 44 they created for you while you were doing the One Chore. But no matter! I was looking forward to reclining under those hotel blankets while my children were safely confined and unable to escape. Upon arriving to the Hyatt, I decided to book us another night because I figured I'd be pretty tired after helping my friend and wanted to make the most of this trip (i.e., confine my kids to one room with a locked door for as long as legally and financially permissible). We get to our room, and the place obviously has not been cleaned between guests. This mess was complete with pee in the toilet. I panicked, thinking I must be in someone else's room because no $120 per night hotel would have someone else's pee in the toilet and used towels all over and something mysterious in the shower. I called the front desk, and she was of course mortified, so she came right up and told us we could go downstairs and have snacks on the house while the housekeeper cleaned. I didn't want to make a fuss because I assume positive intent. We eat our pretzels and are then told we can go back up to our room, which seems clean. I decide to make a cup of coffee. I head to the coffee maker, and the mug still has coffee in it. That coffee was not mine. But I don't like making a fuss, so I didn't call the desk. Besides, there was another mug there without coffee, that was hopefully clean (but I kind of doubt it in hindsight). Then I try to plug my phone in and the whole charging station comes off the wall. The next day, I work my butt off, removing weeds, cutting trees, crawling under hedges, scrubbing cabinets, etc. At the end of the day, my arms were wrecked. My whole body hurt. I imagined the HOT SHOWER I was going to take in the Hyatt, and how I was going to order food and lie in a bed and not move any of my limbs. Then I got my kids (who were spending those working hours with a friend, not locked in a hotel room unattended, if you were worried), I could barely lift my arms. It was ok though, because again I like hard work, and a hot shower was awaiting me at the Hyatt. I carry my giant baby up to our room in my arms that are barely working, and the key doesn't work. Down we go again. Even though they had charged my card over $300, they had still checked us out, and the receptionist told me "well checkout was at noon." Sure, if one was leaving, which we were not. The thing that pushed me over the edge was that the hot shower I had imagined ALL DAY was lukewarm, only heating up in the last 3 minutes. At the same time, the shower door wouldn't stay shut, blasting me with AC. Overall, a disappointing experience that only could have been worse with bedbugs or norovirus or something. I will never stay there again, as there is only so much disappointment I'm willing to trade for over $300 in wasted vacation money. I hope the Hyatt sees this since going back in time and booking a different hotel is not an option.

  • Will not book there again before they make positive changes.

The EV charging experience is extremely horrible!!! Crazy high price! Compare to $6/gal for regular gasoline in OH. Use ChargePoint company for EV charging with reasonable price such as 0.30/kWh.

  • OK for boys Baseball team

Was not impressed with this hotel. They had signs in the elevator that they were working on improving things, but I didn't see it anywhere else or any actual improvements being made. I was slipped their "policies" under my door the next morning. When I inquired at front desk, they said it was due to the craziness at check in; however my check in was not with the rest of the team. I've never had this happen at a hotel before, and I've stayed at quite a few. The breakfast was subpar, but I will say the coffee was pretty good. The room itself had a weird layout. The bathroom itself is quite small. Overall, I would not stay here again, but for a baseball team I suppose it wasn't all that bad.

  • Non-Dairy Milk! Yay!

Non-dairy milk! Yay! Wonderfully comfortable beds! Very clean rooms! The pool was so fun and our extended family all had very nice stays. It was serendipitous that two family members had adjoining rooms. It was great!

  • Nana and Papa approved!

Room was clean, all amenities listed were present and in good working order. Comfortable beds and plenty of room. Large flat screen TV which also allowed us to view programming via some streaming services. Breakfast menus were good. Give this Hyatt Place a try!
